These are nice homes for first time home owners. The communication is lacking when fixing issues. I still have yet to have my dining room window replaced. Also there are noticeable blemishes i.e. not straight corners— you can tell they are slightly warped when they get closer to the floor. And some blue tape items have yet to be fixed and I closed on my home 2/14/20. It is now 3/30/20. But otherwise, the price is good and the no closing costs and USDA option is amazing for first time home buyers. Overall I would recommend the Windrow community to others looking into buying a home. It’s very quiet and pleasant. No crazy drivers or neighbors so far. And there’s a nice public park across the street. I do however wish there was going to be a pool built in the subdivision. Mediocre experience, small let downs throughout process Builder non responsive

Its a nice house but definitely could have been done better. Lots of details that could have been done better. I have had to call several times already for repairs and work and I have just been here less than 2 months.

Called the office and spoke with Jennifer regarding the AC Unit area there was concrete dug up and left there and that was supposed to be cleaned up before I moved in, they took 3 to 4 weeks to do it, also they still didn’t do the job the area around the AC Unit is not paved done like my neighbors to the left or right of me, also there were deep holes in my backyard that I didn’t even see they came and put down old grass that looks like a haystack and it’s going back to the deep holes. I hope that you can send somebody out to see the terrible work that has been done like they don’t care about a brand new property that they are being paid by the hour to do. Make sure everything works properly before because if you don’t it’s hard to get people to come out and fix it

The building crew itself was exceptionally good however the lending process was very stressful for no reason. I would give a 0 star but for the sake of the building team

If this entire process was in the hands of Todd D alone, then I would have given a 5-star rating for all fields and for the entire process. Alas, such is not the case. He is only one man. Workmanship is OK; I guess. The home inspector stated he was impressed compared to other builders. Hence, let's say workmanship is good. The quality of materials: again, what do I know? Again, my inspector did not raise any significant concerns re: quality of materials. So, once again, what can I say? What I can say is the enough of the materials are "cheap". 1. The rods used in the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. They are as light as a cotton candy stick. And, the tension pressure feature fails. 2. Many of the bathroom sink stoppers are just loose, flimsy; it's as if you scrub too hard, they'll fall apart in the sink. 3. When I first saw the model house, I wanted the tub/shower combo in the master bathroom. I was told they were no longer offering that feature; all that was available was the walk-in shower. Several months later, just as the ground was broken on my home, with the opening of the next phase, the shower/tub combo feature was made available. I submitted an email to be considered for this option, as this was the one thing that I had always wanted in my home. It took 4 days, if not longer, before a response was provided. And the reason given that I could not have this feature was because the frames were up. When I submitted my request 3-4 days prior, only concrete had been poured; no frames had gone up. Maybe, just maybe, if my email had been read 2-3 days earlier, some consideration could have been made. ...MAYBE. 4. As I lay in my bed one or 2 nights before my closing, it occurred to me, this home has no sensible or adequate storage. Many, if not all except this one, new constructions use the space under the stairs in a 2-storey building for storage. Not here! There is no closet to house items such as mops, brooms, upright vacuum cleaners. The pantry is only shelves. What this means is one has to consider using either the garage, or placing a shed in the backyard, for storage. Neither of which I am pleased at having to consider. A garage is meant for cars. And the backyard space is made for one's enjoyment without the eyesore of a shed. 5. The overall sense of pride in one's work is lost as a general rule. There are so many instances of trash, empty plastic bottles and cans being the top offenders, strewn along the construction sites. There were several instances of isolated socks on the grounds of a few homes. I can't tell you how many times things such as turning around a door knob, and missing door hinges had to be addressed. Aaron is a great manager and good leader but the minor fixes, cleanup, vinyl floor application from his team members needs improvement.. saw a lot of wood dust in a lot of corners, paint on carpet, etc. For this big investment there shouldn’t be anything spotted.. I am quite picky but everyone isn’t so overall it is okay experience with builder team.

I love my house but there have been some minor things and major thing that have been disappointing. The major thing is my house is full of roaches, I’ve never had roaches before and now I am finding them all over. It’s making my living experience nearly unbearable.

I love my new home. This is the first home I have had the pleasure of picking the colors and the floor plan and am happy with the finished product.

Not worth the price you paid

This is my first time buying a newly constructed home. I encountered sloppy workmanship and many issues such as a screw stuck in my garbage disposal, a window that wouldn't open and shut properly and a window that had a bent/broken screen, a leak in the irrigation system with a "continuous water usage" message from the city and a dead tree as a result, two door locks that didn't work with my key, window blinds are filthy with construction dust, the floor is spattered with paint in some places, the floor board caulking is marred in some places, a section of carpet is pieced in the wrong direction, gutters were packed with leaves/debris, water was not available in the first walk-through (builder hadn't paid the bill), water pressure in bath and kitchen on 2nd walk-through was a trickle, yard is a minefield of bumps and low points (grading is not smooth at all.) However, the builder was very quick on responding to the issues brought to their attention, and did place a second gate (their choice, I never asked for it) to gain easier, safer access the electric box and A/C unit. I'm still dealing with the dead tree issue, getting HOA violations because of it, builder won't replace it with other HOA-approved tree. In hindsight, I would be much more thorough and pickier before purchasing a home from Centex. ... More

When I take a closer look at workmanship, I would say I am not very satisfied. A request to take a look at our door has not been responded yet. Front door gap are getting bigger.

You know I talked to my neighbors and all received appliances, but I didn’t receive appliances and I had to buy my own. When I called to see why? They said my purchase had more cash discount. This was not explained to me buy the sales person. Second, our package included a garage door opener but it was not installed. I contacted the service department, they issued a check for $336 to make me happy. I paid a contractor $600 to install a garage door opener. And now I am working with PGP title to receive the original warranty deed, which they claim it was lost in the mail. Not too good guys. You can do better. ... More

Brief, the sale experience with Mike is not positive, slow response, not caring and surprises due to the final walk for the garage paint was not included. Price is not cheap. In contrast, the construction person William is amazing and very professional.

Initially, everything went smoothly and we were optimistic. However, as time passed, the process became increasingly stressful and unreliable. It felt like we were initially promised the world, but then faced excuse after excuse for why they couldn't fulfill their promises. We discovered that the construction manager had provided false information, and we are currently working with the warranty team to address these issues. Unfortunately, the construction manager's attitude was condescending and made me feel belittled, as if I was being treated as unintelligent or irrational. Furthermore, the sales manager failed to follow up during and after the closing process, showing no interest in our satisfaction. Recently, I greeted her with a friendly wave, but she responded with a blank stare and no acknowledgement, despite making direct eye contact. On another note, the floors are terrible quality. ... I recently purchased home and from sales team it was good and smooth process. From quality perspective and build review it is not up to the mark. Couple of easily visible concrete cracks, mud issue in backyard due to baldly sloped never been taken in to consideration as it should.

Overall, I was pleasantly pleased with each of my walk throughs and thought centex was very thorough and responsive to any all issues. However, after closing I’ve ran into issues such as being issued the wrong keys for move in, my lawn not being maintained before my move in, and it taking 3 weeks (& still waiting) for any one to come out for the service request for small items that I am finding that need repair and were missed during the walkthrough. Communication has decreased tremendously. I am very happy with my home just would like for there to have been a smoother transition for me being a first time home owner. ... More

we call the construction manager as soon as we started finding issues, the carpenter came and evaluated the details we showed him, he said " we need to replace basically all the doors of the cabinets in the kitchen, and paint them" after that we haven't hear from them, and they are no longer here at the subdivision.

Satisfactory, but not great experience.
