LACK of RESPONSE to ISSUES!!

I have had a problem with my grass before I moved in but was assured that it would grow! Once I closed on my home the grass still did not grow! I contacted the leasing office & was told with watering the grass would grow. Well for about a month we had monsoon rain & still no grass. I do believe that I received a bad batch of sod as SEVERAL of my neighbors moved in AFTER me & they have a great lawn. I have contacted them MULTIPLE times but my belief is that to them this is a non issue! I feel they no longer care because they already made the sale..... This is my 1st home purchase & what ...

They’re putting these things up so fast I question how well the quality will uphold overall. Only been in the house 3 months and have noticed the quality of things deteriorating. I would look elsewhere for a reputable builder. Just because they have the number one volume of homes, that doesn’t make them good.

Great house, but not without major frustration

While our foreman, Rusty, has been very nice, we have had an incredibly frustrating first 4 months in our new home. There were things that needed to be fixed (mismatched shower tile, missing mortar in the stone fireplace, no Google Home equipment or information, etc. We had to basically harass everyone we could think of to get them taken care of. The most frustrating of which was the Google Home system. We were essentially told by Sales that this was not their problem. It was not until we went all the way to the Century Regional Manager that action was taken and we finally just last week ...

Only Wish Quality Matched Floor Plan & Location

Love the lot and floor plan of my home, but can't recommend the overall Century experience. From incorrect pricing provided by agents during the early home-buying process, to Century's inflexibility regarding even minor changes once the slab is poured, to poor quality of construction materials and finish work on the home, I'm beyond disappointed. (To be clear, my home is in Canton -- not Dallas -- Georgia.)

Although Steve is very friendly and an overall nice person I am not happy. I think my house was built in a rush. I have a lot of things that needs to be fixed such as my floor, which is starting to separate. As you can see, I've only been in the house for a little over three months. My backdoor do not close properly, my closet door in the mud room do not close.

Not impressed

Started out good but now, four months in. Not impressed! Seeing / finding more flaws with the quality of workmanship. We had leak from the bathtub above the dining room which was fixed. However, we have seen no one to fix the water damage in the ceiling caused by the leak since it happened. We going on 2 months since that occurred. We starting to notice more flaws as well. Stair treads, gutters, lack of caulking, and other things here and there. Biggest concern for me is the amount of material I am discovering buried in the yard. Wire, silt fence, bricks, lumber, concrete, roofing and so on. ...

Century Communities responded:
Ricky, looks like we fell short and are deserving of the marks and comments. We understand that someone has since been to your home, including the resolution of the leak that occurred. We hope to be able to restore your trust in us with our most recent response.

We moved in what we thought was going to be our last home purchase. Loved the floor plan, we had a few issues before signing which is normal. Some where fixed others we were told would be taken care of. 1. Upstairs floors creak every time you walk. So embarrassed over the Thanksgiving holiday. Guest were asking how “old is this house”? We responded we just moved in 3 1/2 months ago. They told us y’all got taken! When it rains the patio is soaked as if there isn’t a covering. (Gutters are bad). I was told to call the people on the list we were given and to our surprise no one knows who to ...

Warranty follow up is horrible

I have been in the home about 4 months now and I have been waiting almost 2 months from the time I submitted a warranty ticket for someone to come and fix my issues. Still no one. One of the issues is a major security risk for my family and the lack of response is disturbing. My first month of being in the house was great and I had great correspondence but it has gone downhill ever since.

Promises to fix poor workmanship at the final inspection and never responded to our concerns. On 12/4/2020 my husband sent and email to Warranty Atlanta TM 33 373972 and we are still waiting for a response. Attic insulation is still missing.

If everything is not done to your satisfaction before closing, reschedule another closing. My husband had to make the majority of the repairs to the house that I pointed out at our inspection before closing. We were told to say that everything is fine at our closing (even when it wasn't) as they promised to make repairs after we moved in.

WILL NOT BUY AGAIN OR RECOMMEND A HOME FROM CENTURY

The size and space of the home is everything that I wanted. Compared to pricing in other communities was a reasonable deal. With that said, it is true that you get what you pay for. Prior to my closing I saw a plethora of things that needed to be either repaired or replaced. The builder made me feel as though my concerns were not valid and pretty much brushed me off. if wasn't until after I made several complaints to corporate that something was done. There are still a lot of things that need to be addressed. I was made promises from the builder that certain issues would be taken care of back ...

I was referred to Century Communities by a friend whose home had been built by CC. I really loved the way his home looked inside and out. It also appeared to be well built, so I decided to go with CC and have a home built with them. Apparently over the course of time CC made changes to its included features list and a lot things my friend got with his home were now taken off the feature list. I was lucky to be able to get blinds included but only in the front of the home. Going to the showroom was very overwhelming since everything has to be picked that day and no changes can be made once ...

We love our home but all of the ongoing issues we have had and are still fighting to get corrected have been beyond exhausting. From sewage leaks to roof leaks to an incorrectly elevated front porch (those are just the bigger issues) it has been never ending since moving in and therefore left us little time to enjoy the benefits of owning a new home. Unfortunately, it will make us rethink buying a home from Century in the future. One of the biggest disappointments has been the lack of care that was put into the drywall throughout the house.
