A lot of the Cosmetic defects that were pointed out and "blue taped" were never fixed. Every time Century sent some one out to "fix" things, it was almost always incomplete work or poor workmanship. The people they sent never knew what or why they where sent to my home. It is extremely frustrating to get anyone to complete the work properly. It's not worth filing a warranty claim. Having spent over 600k on a new build we definitely did not feel like we got our money's worth.

Still NOT done with pre-closing pending items.

It took me a while to complete this survey, since I was hoping Century Community construction manager will complete all things corrected in our pre-closing pending items for builder to fix in a timely manner, but it's NOT the case. It has been a little bit over 3 months since we moved into to our place and items prior closing haven't all fixed yet and still no feedback from construction manager or sales. After first month no one gives a care. I never received my google hub as promised in my contract. Constantly getting workers ringing my doorbell while I am trying to work instead of getting emails from the community.

Promises to fix poor workmanship at the final inspection and never responded to our concerns. On 12/4/2020 my husband sent and email to Warranty Atlanta TM 33 373972 and we are still waiting for a response. Attic insulation is still missing.

If everything is not done to your satisfaction before closing, reschedule another closing. My husband had to make the majority of the repairs to the house that I pointed out at our inspection before closing. We were told to say that everything is fine at our closing (even when it wasn't) as they promised to make repairs after we moved in.

Love the neighborhood, just not the customer service or lack thereof. Covid can only be an excuse for so long. We couldn’t do an in person walkthrough due to covid, those items still haven’t been fixed. We’ve submitted over 30 other issues and no one has reached us regarding anything. A leaky roof, window, and wall happened when we first moved in which caused my baby to be room less for weeks. From the initial agreement documents (80+pages), to the lender they required me to use in order to get the incentives, to the punch list items, I have been frustrated beyond ever being able to enjoy this home. The owners are lawyers and their contract was an unconscionable document. There was alot of problems with the property before and after moving in . 1st. the vent were not installed on the roof . Which got done on the closing date. 2nd been complaining about the drainage since day 1 and its killing the grass and rotting the fences . Going on 4 months now . Who would even think that clay foundation would drain correctly. Needs better grading and drain system if that's the way the engineers think clay drains . 3rd . The brick pointing needs to be redone. 1. They are so busy they have no time to walk you through and talk you through the house, lot size or dimensions when buying. 2. They say that you have a year to address any issues, but hardly any are addressed. Please talk to residents there to get to know the true picture. 3. The quality of construction is BAD. I see many cracks already appearing in around walls and window frames.

We have a number of open issues , still dealing with it even after 3 months. Plumbing leak, appliances issues, broken windows, floor, you name it, we have it all. It’s a nightmare to deal with post sales support. No responses and endless chasing. It seems Century have no QA before they release the homes to customers.

The workmanship is poor. There are so many issues that I have identified during the walk through and post move in. Yet some of them are NOT resolved. I have escalated to multiple people, yet not all issues are resolved. After a time, I just gave up. I would never buy a home again from Century communities again. Neither would I recommend you guys to my family and friends.

Terrible experience, the home has had so many issues and it takes forever to get anything done, been here for over 3 months and still major issues from when we moved in not taken care of, terrible workmanship, lack of care and the details on baseboards, cabinets, flooring were bad. When we moved in the house was dirty spent a whole day cleaning it and still finding tape and crap throughout the house. Worst decision I made in purchasing from this builder

My new build was extremely delayed (5 months) which might be have been fine on its own if not for the poor communication. I was not given timely updates and was given timelines that were highly unrealistic based on the progress I could see on the house. I would send emails, texts, call and often not hear back for a week which was extremely frustrating as I needed updates in order to figure out my living situation and to work with my lender. They did not take into consideration any of the items identified in my independent inspection. They had me do my “final” walkthrough prior to toilets ...

Refused to keep our realtor in the loop. Met no deadlines. Promised that if we signed off on the closing they would fix the issues that evening. Never heard from the builder again.

We moved in to Mayfield back in December 2020. Needless to say there were multiple red flags throughout the home building experience. On the day of closing we found out our Hot Water heater was not working, toe kick in the bathroom missing, and the house not cleaned and filthy. Through out the last few months, we have had electrical issues, HVAC issues, and now AC issues. This month the AC was the third major failure of the home. We could not make any changes and were misled on what was included with the home. Additionally the construction manager quit with no notice and left his employees to fix the issues he never addressed. The homes are being built way too fast with sloppy workmanship and poor quality building materials and appliances. Additionally the HOA dues cover snow removal but no one showed...residents had to clear the streets. I love the location but seriously disappointed in the quality.

Sales “agents” are not very knowledgeable or serviceable. Certainly not customer focused as they will simply sell the home to another buyer instead of working with purchaser. Sales agents speak about neighboring homeowners to other purchasers and are otherwise unprofessional. Punch lists still incomplete after sale (unsurprisingly, as this seems to be a common issue, but it is surprising how unwilling they are complete lists). The builders lender quoted a competitive interest rate before we signed the contract and then the rate was 1.5 points higher when we were ready to lock (3 days later). We told them we were backing out and somehow the rate came down a full point.
