Building was not sealed properly or shall I say treated for Inscects ants are taking over the home

Overall I think Century is a great builder. There were a few minor issues I came across with my yard and response times to certain questions as well as the constant changing of sales reps through my process. However overall they were very accommodating and even moved out close date to fit our travel schedule since we moved cross country. We were able to do our walk through’s via FaceTime and when we did our final in person inspection everything was just as we hoped. Really happy with our purchase just disappointed with the shape and size of our yard.

When looking for a NEW home it is always a challenge to understand if the fireworks will still be there once you moved in and live in a house for awhile. Do you move in and find all kinds of problems that you did not notice during the purchase process? Do you find that things are falling apart for no reason or the home was built poorly? And finally, if you need help to fix these questions, will it be there? We have been through good, terrible and now with Trust Amazing. Our service from the builder has been so good. When we moved into the new house, we were generally satisfied with your customer servers: such as finding leakage of water pipes, fault of microwave oven, missing installation of shutters, seepage of water in the basement, termite prevention and other aspects. You responded quickly and sent people to repair and install on site, so we were generally satisfied. The deficiency part is , 1) the garage door has the damage also someone covered with name card to keep out to be noticed , this kind of practice is not quite virtuous, we think this is improper. 2) when the slope protection at the back of the house was checked and accepted, we were told that it was not ... Overall I love my new home, lot, and materials used. I would recommend Century over other builders due to value in their homes. Nice floor plans and quiet community. Area for improvement is in quality control of some of the sub-contractors. In my backyard, half of sod was from old shipment which has bare patches and weeds. The other half was part of new shipment and is excellent: beautiful green lawn, no bare spots, no weeds. I have spent months trying to get one half of lawn to match the other. It is slowly getting better after extensive effort on the "starter lawn", just have to get new sod for bare sections of yard, apply more weed and ant prevention, and enrich the soil to fix the bare spots. ... For the most part we're very happy with the house. The appliances are adequate but could be better. After 3 months in the house we're still trying to get window screens for two windows - not major but needs to be resolved. All in all we're happy with the home - it has some nice features and is well built.

Purchasing a new home is exciting, and when you are able to buy one that is newly constructed, it feels like you have a blank canvas. We were excited to move in to our dream home, and we were mostly satisfied with the construction when we closed. I think that maybe we had unrealistic expectations, but the main thing is that the there were some significant differences between the model home and ours in terms of construction. The care that was given to the model home was not the same care given to ours. We had crooked kitchen cabinet handles, cabinet doors that were not installed with precision, our banister was hacked up and fixed with filler, and we had a door jam that was set too wide to hold the door properly. Our dish washer leaked from day 1, and after 4 appointments and more than a month of waiting, we finally got it to work. Recently our doorbell broke and we have some squeaky floorboards. One of the toilets clogged so severely that it had to be replaced-- and the plumber found a cleaning tablet (like a Vanish drop in) stuck in the pipes. We are the first owners, and we have never used them, so that was weird. Century Communities has been responsive in all cases, and although I have had to be very strong advocate for our repairs, everything is coming along. I would have to say, though, that we have had no less than 10-15 appointments in our four months to have things repaired and we are still in the process of getting some of the things fixed. What we love is the layout of our home, the options that we were given for upgrades and even much of the standard features, are quite beautiful. Our construction manager, Joel, has been super attentive, and he always greets us with kindness. He inspires confidence that (eventually) our repairs will be done correctly. I love the neighborhood, our neighbors, and have had a generally pleasant experience with Century. I noted a lot of the construction issues above because that is the area that I wish that there was improvement. I understand that the builders have to meet schedules, but taking a little extra care will make a huge difference to your customers. Staff was friendly and transparent when it came to providing us with all information associated with buying a new home in the community.

We are enjoying our home and neighborhood.

So far things have gone well. we have had a few issues that have been resolved. As issues come up, the team (Kevin) has been great and always available when needed. Paint quality/type has been our biggest frustration. Every touch of the wall shows and requires a re-paint of the surface. It would be nice if you had used a semi-gloss, to help with ease of care. Soil is also an issue! The ground is so freaking hard, trying to put anything in the ground, such as sprinkler or yard decor, requires an axe or a drill. Water just pools or runs off into the street as it cannot absorb into the soil. ... More

good location

Century provides good value for the purchase price. Builder seems to rush to complete the house. Quality control of sub-contractors could be better. Attention to details in finish work is needed.

Did what was promised. Smooth process from reserving our lot to designing our interior. Response time was quick. Any issues we had were addressed and fixed right away

Some major discrepancies on what we picked in their design center. In other words, we did not get some things we picked beforehand in their design center. House was painted with the wrong color and had to be re-painted. Some workmanship issues like grout issues in the flooring.

Scott and Heather have been great, the only issue that we are having is with the landscape and the weeds in the preserve. Plants died quickly as with the grass.

I think that some options should be offered basically.

Century standard materials in the house start high and upgrades just exceed from there. Gorgeous design and detailing.

They built the TH very quickly and there are some rough things on the finishes.

I would rate this as a 5 except for 1 problem. The house itself is great. The construction supervisor is great. The only recommendation for improvement is that the ground has been compacted so hard that it is extremely difficult to prepare the back yard for landscaping. Our back yard is like concrete. It would be great if after the back yard area has been determined, prior to putting up the fence, the landscaper would rip the backyard with a tractor down to a 12 inch depth so that the soil was workable.

The politeness and willingness to help

There were many spots INSIDE the home that needed a little more thought. The door swinging into the restrooms were too close to the ground leaving no room for the skinniest bathroom mat or the bathroom floor tiles were uneven so the door scrapes the floor when opening. There are many shiny spots on the wall that were obviously touched up with the wrong paint. Many spackle leftover spots were left on the carpet.
