The Agent Angela was attentive. Jose was very kind. My only concern is my wood flooring in my downstairs bedroom and hall area, is lumpy and feels like it will pop open soon. I have been waiting for some type of resolution to repair my brand new flooring with no return calls from Benjamin, the Century Rep that came to look at it. Also I have same air pockets in my wood flooring in the kitchen area that I was told would be repaired by drilling holes and inserting some kind of flooring glue. Still no return calls in the past 2 weeks from the time they came to look at the flooring. A response from Century would be awesome. Thanks Angela ... More

nice looking streets too narrow called an inventory house we paid for it but you had too much and we wanted a sliding glass back door.....and we could afford it found it to be available in other houses....suppoosed to be our house.

They kept you informed along the way but the last two walk throughs were not good. The builder said he would correct the issues but never did. I gave up after numerous phone calls and emails. Promises not kept

Buying experience was great as both Victor and Robin were very helpful in updating us with the construction progress. Design center was helpful, the upgrade price was too high comparing with outside contractors doing the same work though. Follow up work is terrible. Three months after we moved in, we are still waiting for the builder to repair the items noted in the walk-through. Other items discovered later including the laundry room cabinet appeared to be installed upside down. Exterior touch-up pint, which could be done while the construction workers were still doing the construction work, still not being taken care of. We can't use the upgraded bathtub in the master bedroom since it does not hold water. Over three months I have not heard any response. Using COVID-19 for not doing the work is a lame excuse. ... Look, they are great to work with in getting in a home. We had no problem with any questions we had or concerns during the home building process. Even a month after moving in we had to have some warranty work done and they got right on it for exterior items, 2 weeks later when we needed internal stuff done (still do ) it was all scheduled and the day of we get a phone call saying it can’t be completed cause of Covid-19. Now we get it, Covid-19 has completely messed up the world, and they had their hands tied about doing internal work on the house. Fast forward a few months, restrictions related to Covid-19 are lifted (with precautions put in place) and all we get is request are 2 to 3 months out based on the order they were received. Fast forward 3 months... still no response to our requests and told to wait and don’t call in because we don’t have a time frame for you. At this point, I’m litterly paying for repairs that should be covered by my warranty out of pocket because we can’t wait, because they are technically not considered "emergency’s" With that being said, they were really good to work with in the beginning to get everything we wanted in the house. The houses look beautiful and the layouts are open and wonderful. The part we are struggling with is, we spent over half a million dollars for a house, you would expect some of quality in what you are getting. What we have found so far being less than a year here is, Exhaust fans they installed aren’t even made for the size of rooms they are being put in, the insulation they put in for the exterior walls is a joke ( not even kidding, Walls facing the east and west litterly have hot spots radiating heat off of them inside the house, like I was outside the house touching the wall.) Windows after its rained, have dried up water marks on the inside of the windows. Mudding, caulking, & seals are starting to show cracking like its drying out. Paint needs to be redone in more places then I like to count, and the water pressure regulator has already had to be replaced. Oh and floors on the 2nd level of the house... let’s just say if you have kids, they will never be able to sneak out due to the floors squeaking so loudly it will wake you up, this is on about on 50% of the 2nd floors surface area. In summary, would I have paid what I paid for my house knowing all the extra money id have to put into it (stuff that shouldn't have to be replaced so soon) after the fact... probably not, I would have liked to have seen it priced lower for what I got. Was the building process and everything prior to getting the keys painless... It really was, I've heard horror stories and our experience was amazing compared to everybody else’s. The house is beautiful outside, the builder is amazing, floor plans are open and spacious, but quality of some of the stuff you are getting is severely lacking. That being said, I would still highly consider using this builder in comparison to the other builders my friends have used who have had way worse issues then what we have experienced. ... More

I closed escrow 3/31/21. Century Communities did not contact me 30 days after to see how things were going or if I needed repairs as they stated. I had to email Octavio. Out of a list of about 5 items needing attention only one has been taking care of and no mention of the others. (that was a couple months back). In my opinion, materials used are not of good quality. My baseboards have been chipped twice just from dropping something that hits against the wall. this should not be. The are many imperfections in my stucco, granite counters are stained from installation, my water in the kitchen/master bath doesn't stay hot for long. It looks like my wall is cracked because the rounded corner/bullnose needs to be repaired, etc. Also, at the time of purchase I was told that "I couldn't add, delete or make NO changes to the remaining homes that I had to choose from". However, my neighbor purchased one of the homes also, but they were allowed to do so. Not acceptable! I realize that builders build these homes extremely quick, which usually doesn't allow for the time needed to build a good quality home. Dawn our sales representative was wonderful to work with, our walk thru was rushed to where a person could not point out defects of the builders. We have a list of at least 30 things wrong, defective or broken in the home and no one will get back to us on the warranty side. Uneven floors on the main level, broken cabinets by installer, dryer vent blocked in the laundry room and has destroyed the dryer, holes in the grout in shower area. Uneven paint inside and out. Angad our warranty rep is amazing. Always answers questions and helps out any way possible. Century has a gem. Without his attention to detail and customer service, I would have probably rated differently than what I did.

I found a beautiful home in Colliers Hill that I fell in love with. During the loan approval process two different lenders turned me down. I bought this place as an investment property, but but almost 5 month into this, I haven't managed to rent, one of my biggest problem it is that you seen to have allowed to many investors at the same time and your bedroom are very small

The issue was fixed

Many difficulties working with this builder, especially with thier borderline incompetent title company. Most things were eventually fixed but it was a complete pain in the *** for me to have to continually badger them and follow up again and again. Would not buy from them again.

All the process (paper work) was on line made it impersonal and challenging to understand .The realtor should really understand the material, color plate/ plans for each model before informing clients. The quality of the house material and work was not satisfying. The price of the house was better than other builders though.

My experience was good buying the the property and I am happy. But I feel the following things can be improved: - I am not sure if this issue is with all the builders but Century Builder is not open to small changes like putting double sink in bathroom, adding a door in bathroom etc. even if you request before the construction starts. - If you have any warranty issues just submitting a ticket online does not work, you have to call multiple times to bring the issues to their attention. Big improvement is needed here.

Pluses [+]: 1. Location is good. Close to everything 2. Good school district 3. Although the builder slipped 1 mo from its promise delivery date, but still it was almost on time ( given the COVID situation) Minuses[-]: 1. Quantity of faucets is really bad. 2. Unfinished garage with a deep crack ( developed on the 3rd month after delivery) on the floor 3. The sales manager Adam and his sidekick sales person are not trustworthy. If you are dealing with such names, make sure you keep everything on writing. 4. Post sales support is nightmarish and virtually nonexistent.

Overall ok, recommended. Responsiveness is something that they lack.

Home quality is good but warranty support is not so great. Still some issues are pending though multiple reminders to warranty support.

We had to change multiple things with multiple calls and reminders. For example, there was hole in the plywood on the second floor flooring. someone has marked it but they never fixed before handing home to us. We just realized it and they fixed it now but they had to remove the carpet cut the padding , cut the plywood. No one would be happy to repair their new homes like this. There is tile chipped out due to carpet repair and they are saying that this was because me(when I ask something to fix due to the build problem, very first sentence from them is "this is because of you" ). Century Communities seems like it set in their traditional ways. Builder should offer more options that competitors are offering. Simple things such as a tankless water heater, LED bulbs, and more. Also, there are plenty of quality control problems that surface. However, the warranty department has been helpful and diligent aside from a few delays.

Be patient the process is slow

For the price I paid for the property and building I guess I should have expected the issues that have come up. First time buying a new home and there were many lessons learned about what to ask and how to manage the buying process. Very stressful.

Our realtor had to run interference for us at times. The builder agent disappeared shortly after the signed contract, but fortunately we were able to speak with another one to work through the build. Financing was easy with the preferred lender, but there was little info relayed regarding the house status during construction. I built a relationship with the foreman to keep informed. We rushed financing to close in mid-December then SILENCE only to FINALLY close in late January after initiating the contract in early July. Due to the massive construction boom, I feel owners are not held as important as buyers. I also had to work to find out about the HOA, very little relayed. Happy about the house and besides some new construction issues (biggest being the luxury shower must be redone because floor is hollow beneath), all is good. Good neighbors and the house is solid. Transparency from the builder can be greatly improved. Too much work going on for the staff in place to be sure. I still don't know how the clubhouse and stuff works within the development...not a lot of information exchange. Great value, but buyer be aware and prepared to do a lot of legwork on your own. ... Quality home and great location

We've heard many stories, but I'll share just our own. We signed in May, 2020 but right away, things started to change. The builder decided to make changes that we hadn't signed off on, and it was a struggle to get those things that helped us make the decision to buy. We were caught in the interim stages of "that's what it was, this is how we are changing the homes for the future". A lot were architectural changes that weren't consistent with the model that we based our buying decision on. Throughout the process we felt we had to visit the construction site every other day to maintain the quality control of the build, in the seeming absence of project management. These included a missing pantry, the wrong interior doors installed, a severely sloped and cracked back porch, fan wiring that was missing, wrong hardware installed, gaslines misplaced which resulted in our 2nd oven sitting in our dining room for two weeks after we moved in, missing front and back porch lighting missing an exterior gasline and numerous trim and wiring issues. But the good news is, since we didn't sign the check list and gave an honest and brutal initial review, some fabulous higher ups who wanted to make things right for us and going forward for future buyers, most of those things got corrected. We're now waiting on a replacement to a dinged garage that was pointed out to us on our walk through on 11/18 and a poorly designed gutter drain that many are complaining about that drains into a PVC pipe under the driveway that freezes and will crack and ruin our driveway. All this being said, we really liked the house when we decided to buy it, and now that most things are resolved, we do really like the house and hope Century continues to be accurate in what it shows potential buyers and responsive to people who buy here. ... The house itself is great, but I was told I would receive a garage door credit if I put my deposit down that day, to which I did. Later I was told that since I went with an outside lender, I would not receive that credit. That stipulation was never specified prior to me putting my deposit down. I brought it up many times and I was either ignored or just told there was nothing that can be done. As mentioned, the property as far structure is amazing, but the peer to peer communications were absolutely horrid
