There are still issues we addressed once we bought our home and they have not been fixed. Additionally, I have had two flat tires, once was in the side wall and couldn't be repaired. There were new tires with less than 1000 miles on them. This was due to screws and nails being left in the road from sloppy construction. When I brought this to the attention of century communities, they told me tough luck. I feel that they could be more professional while building in the neighborhood. Over all, I was initially happy but things are not being addressed and I am out of pocket at this ...

So-So Experience

The salesman was very responsive to my questions and if he didn't know himself, he made sure to find out quickly. Unfortunately the builder wasn't as accommodating to our requests especially when our inspector noticed issues. Luckily we had our own inspection because it failed in almost every step of the way. We were able to get the major issues fixed but minor issues weren't taken into account. Also Inspire Home loans process is terrible and not worth the design credit. You need to improve that process/ communication because they made the process extremely difficult, especially when ...

Our personal experiences with individuals (sales staff, design staff and construction staff) were cordial, professional and as-to-be expected. However, it is obvious the home was built with the lowest-cost materials / methods. The concept of "craftsmanship" is wholly absent.

Good value for the money especially if you are one of the early buyers. Century personnel are good folks and try hard to please. However, I am disappointed with a myriad of fit and finish items that are still outstanding after almost 3 months of occupancy.

The house appears to have been rushed. Finishing is very poor. Already have cracks in the wall within a few months of purchase. Already had a basement leak. It appears to be about the money and sale than a quality house for people unfortunately. It is not just my house, others in the subdivision have ongoing issues. The only good thing about this purchase is the amount of space you get inside the house. However, the space between houses is non existent and the back yards are really small. The internal square footage is the main selling point really. If I was not in such a hurry to move I ...

After the closing you WILL be ignored. Beware of the person on the walkthrough. Do not let him rush you, check every last detail. If you miss something during the walkthrough it may never be addressed. We have been waiting almost 4 months for electrical issues, doorbell not working and a few other minor issues we missed during our walkthrough. Because of this I do not recommend this builder.

Phillip was awesome and answered all questions. Still not happy with color odf stairs and does not match rest of floors but told nothing can be done. Brad just did not know enough and really did not show that he cared. Overall we like the house and not to many issues. I think the overall cleaning should be clean not just a check the box activity.

Well to be honest, this is my second brand new house, and I wish I can have some of the things I have in the other one. Some of the materials are cheap, can’t say is bad constructed no issues there. Now for the flooring, cabinet, toilets, faucets (kitchen and bathroom) can be way better for the price we paid, not even included a ceiling fan, everything has to be an upgrade than when they come up a lot in price, the lots are so small that literally I can see my neighbors and talk to them and the way the do our back that is looking to the neighbors, no privacy there at all. Great Build Experience, Very Poor Transfer From Build to Warranty
- Robert R.

We had a great build experience. However since moving in it’s been the opposite. Three months after closing we have items left from our pre-closing walkthrough incomplete. The few warranty items we’ve reported have not been addressed. We never receive updates unless we ask. I have to give the “after the closing” process a 1 out of 5.
Century Communities responded:
Robert- We have talked to the team and they are reaching out to you. Thank you for sharing. The COVID19 pandemic has put lots of our trades behind the last couple of months due to Government/State mandates not letting them in your home but now that restrictions have eased we are working diligently to get back on track and get your taken care of.

When I moved in my house there was blue tape still all over the walls. My closet rods are not cut properly, and the caulking was not cleaned properly. There was scrap would in my backyard and the workers left nails and small pieces of wood in the yard. They acted as if they wanted my home to be perfect in every way and promised it to be cleaned properly and it was not. I was also promised a gift card for touch up paint. I still have yet to recieve that. The homes are beautiful and quality is great but they were very careless in making my home move in ready. I trusted them to ensure my house ...

Make sure you get a plot survey with all easements and walk the lot with property lines marked. Take pictures and get everything in writing. Check in and walk the lot and home about every other week to check for mistakes, things that got overlooked, or poor craftsmen-ship. Do not sign off on anything if something is incomplete.

Bought the house in February. Since then the backyard does not drain properly. When the neighbor waters their lawn their runoff comes into my yard and stay there for days. Landscapers have tried twice to fix it they have failed. I now have a crack in the foundation all the way to the ground and the bricks are coming off on that corner. The ground water is coming up through the crack and continuing to increase the crack damaging the foundation even more. This is an extremely expensive fix. This house is only about four months old. This is ridiculous to have all these problems on a new house ...

Plus: new house, lot of square footage. Minus: very small lot, very restrictive CC&Rs, relatively cheap details, such as low-grade carpet, laminate floors, no handles on cupboards, formica counter-tops in secondary bathrooms. Low water pressure. No door out of garage. Development is pretty far away from any service, other than the golf course.

Overall not to bad. Buyers must make sure that all walkthroughs are done 100% and documented. Make sure that the extras that you are paying for are what you want before they are done. Once done they will not change it. Be very specific before you sign the bottom line.

The staff at all levels are friendly. The model homes while nice, really are a basic track homes built with cheap materials in a pretty community. "Upgrades" will get you more of an acceptable quality, but many should be standard. I did get a considerable amount of upgrades, but have also put a lot of extra work into making this a great home for the year 2020-work that should have come standard or at least have been an option for upgrades. The lack of sound insulation in the walls is egregious and some of the mandatory choices in packages during the design phase are obtuse. Also, the ...
