Poor quality and workmanship

The quality and workmanship of this home is horrible, especially the drywall work! We’re still finding a lot of issues that need to be addressed and fixed during our 10 month walk through! I’m very disappointed because I feel like the building process was rushed to close before the end of the year! The poor quality of workmanship is now showing! The house is beautiful, but we didn’t have quality contractors to build it!

Century Communities responded:
Kamalaah, sharing your experience good or not to your satisfaction allows us to celebrate what we are doing right or correct what isn't. Remember to send in your work order request to address your drywall concerns to www.centurycommuities.com

I moved in December of last year and while i love the house and community i can’t say i love the company. The lot was not well kept while construction was going on so when remodeling i found Gatorade bottles and miscellaneous hardware and tools in my walls. I’ve only remodeled the bathroom so i could only imagine the waste in the other walls. They damaged two out of three tubs when they brought them in and only repaired them. Kind of disappointed with that but they were decent repairs. They also damaged my front door when putting in the door knob and have yet to come repair it. There were ...

Too many Homes going up at one time. The mess is compromising the value and look of my home. Issues are put on the back burner. I will never but a home again in a unfinished development again. I’m very disheartened and I put too much in this to do anything different.

The house is great, but we do not have a key to the mailbox so no mail. Some warranty claims have been pend for several weeks. Some builders park in middle of road so difficult to drive on the only road out.

Century Communities responded:
With all this uncertanty we are all going through and trades on orders to stay home (social distancing) we are handcufed. Once all of us get the green light we can schedual you. At that time please go to www.centurycommunities.com web page and fill out a service ticket.

We will talk to the team about the parking in the middle of the street as we can see that being a problem.

We were very excited to move into our new home. However there were several issues, from big stains of paint on every single room with carpet to brand new walls with bad repaired holes. The rack on the laundry room was installed up side down, some cabinets have waves inside, the heater didn't work, there was a water leak on the master shower, the garage door opener motor had to be replaced, the solar system still doesn't work, there was a missing lid on one of the air vents, and some other minor issues. We had a good responsiveness to the big issues that absolutely needed to be fixed, however ...

For the most part all was good. Final walk through, super didn’t flush toilets, turn lights off/on, light stove/oven and I did have a few problems immediately after moving in. I have chip painting, and doors with dents, cabinets missing shelf hooks (still haven’t rec’d after asking). For the most part all good but a house that costs close to a half million dollars should really be flawless.

The home is average quality compared to custom homes, however good quality for production homes. Because the housing market in the Denver area is outrageous, the price of the home, I feel is overpriced for the quality. After moving into the home, it took going to the Century Communities National HQ to get an issue resolved.

Super disappointed with the follow through on the issues that the house has

Upon moving in, we noticed multiple sections of flooring in both downstairs kitchen and upstairs bathrooms were faulty. We contacted them and they brought glue! To fix it. As one imagines this was not the right solution. So I then went through the website and requested for these issues to be fixed. They came and looked and said it would be, and never followed back. I then contacted them again and was told someone would call and schedule it and we still have not heard back. Also upstairs bedroom flooring has a major drop in the floor and that issue is still unresolved. After talking to other ...

They’re putting these things up so fast I question how well the quality will uphold overall. Only been in the house 3 months and have noticed the quality of things deteriorating. I would look elsewhere for a reputable builder. Just because they have the number one volume of homes, that doesn’t make them good.

I don't want to call people out by name, so I'll keep this general. The woman in the sales office defaulted to "no" for most requests, and then would swoop in at the 11th hour with a "yes" - almost as if trying to position herself as the hero. She caused unnecessary worry and chaos for me, and was outwardly hostile to my real estate agent. I don't trust that we always got the truth from her. Our customer relationship manager was also hostile towards my agent. She has been slow to respond to service requests, late to appointments, incredibly rude at times, and then contacted me on multiple ...

Thank you for the feedback. What you've described is not consistent with what we expect from our team members when treating customers. And the last thing we should ever do is to pressure you for a positive survey, especially if we didn't earn it. When you do receive the official company survey, please be candid (as you are now) and provide ways we can improve (like you did on this review). As to the fear that you won't get good service, we'd like to help ease your worries ... would you please email our WA Area Customer Relations Manager, Aimee Munson (aimee.munson@centurycommunities.com) -- she's awesome and an advocate for our customers. We'll make things right. BTW - once you connect w/ Aimee (and know who you are), we will relay your praise to ...

Overall our homebuying experience was ok. The process to purchase the home was no problem and being able to visit the site and ask questions initially was great. During our first walk-through of our home, we were told many portions of the house still needed to be finished but we were still were able to mark many problems with what was "finished". During our second walk-through, most of the problems we marked were not fixed and we marked additional problems during our second walk-through. We were reassured that these problems would be fixed by the time we move in. Move-in day, we found that ...
