We like that the fridge, washer and dryer were included, but that’s about it.

Honestly, the home buying experience was a disaster. Jimmy was so hard to get ahold of, and wasn’t always true to his word. At some point he blocked my phone number even though we have been waiting for a refund from them from another problem earlier on. Before we closed we had our third party trusted inspector go out to inspect the house on their request claiming that the house was done, it was not ready. This happened 3 times and we had to pay out of our pocket the return fees. We were told by Jimmy that we would be getting a refund for that because the fault was on them. Still waiting for ...

Love my home but bad experience working with century

It took almost 4 months to get into my new home from the original close date. Not only this but we were made homeless for a full month over the holidays because of their complete lack of communication. And once we finally got into our new home, so many things needed to be fixed. Overall it was a very bad first home buying experience with Century, but am very happy to be in my new home

The homes are rushed, I’ve had so many things break and I’m 3 months in. The warranty people never want to fix anything. They find reasons to not fix literally everything.

Avoid Century Communities properties at all costs! Issue after issue. Homes are not completely finished by closing and lots of subcontractors have to keep coming in your home to do things that should have been done pre-close.

Cortney is responsive and do her best to go above and beyond the customer service required but product quality is poor. Since the close of escrow, significant defects observed. Move in delayed by >3 months. Issues have yet to be resolved.

New builder was incredibly slow and unresponsive in getting issues resolved in a timely manner. I had to get in contact with the previous builder to get multiple issues fixed. The HOA sits idly by while infractions to the guidelines are being committed. I have followed all the necessary procedures to resolve a grievance with a neighbor as well as listing the infractions being committed, and it has been well over 80 days with no resolution. This is the first community I've lived in that allows trash cans to be placed in their yard leading to pests and trash cans falling over spilling garbage. ...

Check everything if they are actually working at the time of walk thru. My tub was not set in correctly and it moved when I shake it back and forth. The caulking was open around the tub , and not usable for 4 months now. I'm still waiting for Century to come out the second time to fix the tub.

Century Communities responded:
Your customer relations manager, Joel, is working with the plumber to remove the tub and completely reset it because the previous attempt was not successful. We aim to provide you peace of mind afforded by your warranty. We'll make it right.

Century Communities - The quality control on these homes is terrible.

The quality control on these homes is terrible. We are still trying to get things repaired and attended to 4 months later. It is a nightmare trying to get anything done. Even when the subs come out often times you have to babysit them to make sure it's done right. If I could go back I would not buy this home, and will avoid ever purchasing from Century in the valley. Not even the Division President cares about the quality of his products. When I emailed him he quickly pawned it off to lower level employees without a care. When speaking with neighbors, almost all the families in my community ...

Century does not deliver anything in a professional manner, see below for details exprrience Cosntruction quality: missing baseboards paints and doors during pre close orientation, on closing date none if these issues were resolved. It took months to resolve the issues that were supposed to be done by closing. quality is so cheap, missing alignmnets, switches aligned incorrectly, you name it everything sucks Service/warranty: no one picks up calls, once they pick the call they will telm you it will take few months to get it done as others before you have logged issues. Construction quality is poor. I was forced to occupy with major open issues like foyer with rough wall and partially painted, Kitchen drawer beneath gas stove doesn't close touching gas pipe at back, most of the walls are not leveled and list goes on and on but no response from construction team am on fixing pending issues. Overall experience from all century team members including sales , marketing , lending and after-sales has been really poor....

Terrible experience. I would never buy a home from Century Communities every again. The people that work here are horrible at doing their job and they know it. They all have the attitude that you are worthless because the housing market is so hot and they know they can find another buyer to replace you with ease. They literally do not care at ALL about the homeowners after they get your money and you close escrow. They literally try to take 0 responsibility with any of the warranty claims and deliver houses that are a mess. Walk throughs should be an opportunity to see a finished product and ...

They were not flexible with options even when I wanted to replace one option with other and pay more. Every time I asked for something, I was given a threat that other people are ready to buy it. They changed date a couple of times, which was a nightmare since I already committed to sell my previous place. I was given the home with lot of issues and dirty garage. Maintenance team is not answering and I have most of those issue pending.

To many issues with the home that were not addressed in a timely manner. Quality of the home for the purchase price was exceedingly overpriced. And when having an issue addressed regarding the craftsmanship, Century employees conduct was unprofessional, rude, and threatening. I feared for my safety when dealing with this employee. So much that I had to ask the employee to leave my property.
