The builder’s workmanship is poor. They pushed closing on a house that wasn’t ready. After delays with warranty in getting the initial walk-through items fixed because of COVID shutdowns, there is still a lengthy list of things that need to be completed. No ETA on when those things will get completed, even though warranty has now been open again for about 6 weeks. Terrible customer service and terrible follow-through. Choose another builder.

Mat and Serena were excellent Trades that do work at Madera are terrible they do not take pride in their work I will never buy another Centrury home

Not impressed at all with the finishes and lack of quality from this builder.

FIrst time homebuyer. I understood certain things during this process, but it has overall been a horrible experience. Every room in my place has had to be re-worked. The kitchen flooring has been worked on 6 times and it still isn't fixed. Very bad experience. At the end of the day I do have a home, but the process has been way below the standard I was hoping. Communication, the follow up, quality has all been very poor.

Extremely poor quality of building materials and workmanship. Dismal value for the price paid. Responsiveness to issue is also dismal. It is the worst house we have ever had and we have owned many houses.

Our house was finished 2 months behind schedule in spite of great weather this fall. The quality of the work done is very poor. Drywall seams are visible in most rooms of the house. The interior paint job is uneven and there is overspray on hinges and door knobs. This is just a small sample of what we got for $300,000. This was an awful experience. I regret buying from Century every day.

The sales experience was full of misleading information to get us to design the contract, the building process was rushed, Century mad is close when the house was not ready and dirty, and the plumbing is atrocious. The meter piping is leaking and 3 attempts to fix, it’s still leaking and I am paying for all the lost water. Unacceptable service throughout the entire process.

Century runs all design, construction, and management decisions from a corporate level without granting any flexibility to the individual markets. They care 100% on numbers and not perception or customer feedback. My 30 day post closing review that criticized Century's processes was used to reprimand the local team who were doing everything they could under the constraints of the corporate policies coming out of Denver. I have also had to fight for repairs under warranty that were deemed unnecessary until the 10-month warranty repair, with a complete lack of understanding that the items need to be repaired now due to seasonal issues coming up or potential larger repairs in 10 months by not fixing a small item now. Extremely disappointed

Rushed to buy Home quality compromised as it was rushed to be completed by end of year Poor communication Turnover of employees Carpet and hardwood floor needing to be replaced 90 days in

Awful experience. We drove 11 hours and house was not ready to close. Inside needed a ton of work, there was a dumpster and backhoe on the front lawn, looked like a pig sty when we drove up, wife was crying, I don’t even want to discuss it anymore because it aggravates me.

Everything about Century Homes is a nightmare, from sales to lending to craftsmanship. It’s not just my house, our whole neighborhood is screwed up. Roofs caving in, cracked concrete, crooked joints, the wrong fixtures, code violations, appliances that never work properly, retaining walls that fail, poor customer service, even liens placed on our properties from unsatisfied builders. You name it and it’s gone wrong in our neighborhood. I will never do business with Century again or buy a pre-existing home built by them,

Horrible experience. I am still waiting for things to be completed and I moved in 3 months ago. Quality of work is poor. Very disappointed

I will never buy another Century Communities home again, and I will tell everyone to know to avoid this company.

Extremely disappointed. Have had many problems, in addition, house has serious structural issues, which I have repeatedly brought to the attention to the Century Communities Las Vegas Management team. Thus far, my approaches have been 100% ignored. Absolutely amazing. I am disgusted.

If I could do it all over again I wouldn’t never purchase a house from century community from the first week I moved in I’ve had issues...my rating is a Zero

One of the worst builders in Austin. Be mindful about their promises, They never keep up their promises. Poor construction quality, Poor response on issues, Please make sure throughly inspected their construction quality by 3rd party home inspectors and get the issues addressed before the closing, once closing done no one cares about the issues you raise. I never recommend Century builders to anybody.

The materials used in the building of our house and the workmanship were both substandard. It would be an extremely lengthy review to detail all the issues regarding the inferior materials used and the amateurish workmanship. Some of the highlights or lowlights are the trim lacks sanding/smoothing, paint missing from trim and barely covering drywall, floor tile that has black marks that can't be removed, deck fireplace without a switch to turn it on and off, window blinds that don't work, stair railings and cabinet toe kicks not properly stained as well as stair railing parts not properly joined containing gaps, interior doors rough and not sanded, casing work that contains gaps and gouges, baseboards with gaps and gouges in them, cold air coming out of vents when the HVAC is not running, the front porch railing has gaps where the wood should meet and was not properly sanded and the list goes on. In addition to the problems enumerated above, the house was not cleaned before we moved in even though we delayed moving in by one day--particularly the windows which were very dirty inside and outside. While some of these items may be construed as cosmetic in nature, they still demonstrate poor quality of workmanship and materials, thus the rating of 1 star. The Builder, John has worked with us on some of these issues as they existed before we closed escrow on the house and we trusted him and the company that they would be true to their word and fix/repair the issues noted. We are now working with Shane in the Warranty department and he has to his credit tried to resolve most of the issues on our list going back to before we closed escrow and moved in. However, it appears that he does not have the authority to resolve some of the major issues remaining. So, to the extent that John and Shane have the ability to address and resolve the issues, 3 stars were given to responsiveness and not 1. The deck fireplace that we paid $5,000 for as an option requires you to get on your hands and knees, remove the fake kindling, use a lighter to light the pilot and then push in on an igniter in the hope that it will catch and you get flames without burning your face or some other body part. We are unaware of how you should turn it off when done with its use. The deck fireplace does not operate by flipping a switch up or down. Again, this is an example of the poor materials used in the building of this house and it not being a good value. The rating for trustworthiness and responsiveness for the builder John and the warranty specialist, Shane would be 5 stars as we believe they have truly tried their best within the constraints they are working with. As regards Century Communities, they would receive 0 stars as the value for the price paid is very inadequate. Normal expectations do not exist for such things as 2 coats of interior paint, semi-gloss or gloss paint for kitchen and bathroom walls, tile and grout sealing, gas line hookup and 2 electrical outlets in the laundry room for a gas dryer, exterior basement door that is industry-standard width of 38 inches, full-size access door for mechanical equipment/sump pump in the basement, insufficient kitchen cabinets and counters, hardware on both sides of French patio door for opening/closing--just to name a few They are untrustworthy and lacking in good and responsive customer service. This is our 5th new home and 8th overall home purchase spanning over 40 years. By far it is the absolute worst in terms of quality, materials used and issues. This home cost over a half million dollars which we have previously purchased a home for over half a million dollars so we know what to expect which is why 1 star was given for the value for the price paid. No customer service. Paid all that money for a new house and now have to deal with the warranty and they're not responding. Horrible experience and wouldn't fix issues when identified.

I never imagined my new home would be this much if a disappointment. From the superintendent to the new orientation, and not to forget the poor quality. Once we moved in everything has gone downhill, and all of our concerns have proven to be legitimate issues within our home.

If I could do it all over again I’d mostly purchase elsewhere. I will not purchase another century community home in my life.

Take time throughout different times during the week and weekend. High HOA fees with no benefits other than a pool. No security, no park, no tags to identify residents from guest. Extremely fast driving, home warranty department has taken three months to respond to a claim I submitted.

Finding many flaws in craftsmanship. List grows every week
