Buying a home with Century has been a terrible experience. Our first mistake was using their preferred lender. He was terrible and failed to give us accurate information. As a first time home buyer you put a lot of trust into your lender to help you through the transaction. The preferred lender was a nightmare. The sales agent for century communities also gave us a bunch of misinformation. He told us were guaranteed a certain dollar amount in builder and lender incentives, which, again didn't happen. He also told us the wrong information for our HOA fee. We were surprised when the bill came last week for a higher amount than stated by the sales rep for century communities. Do not recommend this builder/neighborhood

Don't sign until you get a commitment to fix what is noted as wrong. We have windows that need replaced-we have a refrigerator that sits in the middle of our kitchen because of the water hook up, the sprinkler was not hooked up when they did the front yard-you call-you get zero response back-just blow you off. Just get back to us, fix these issues and everyone will speak highly of your company

Poor quality and workmanship. Had to spend a lot of money after moving in to upgrade electrical in home. Communication at closing very poor, just found out that the HOA dues are to be paid up front at the beginning of the year for the entire year. Was not told this at closing. Not a very trustworthy builder. Would not buy again from this company.

As home building has become a day laborers occupation, the former craftsman is now a dinosaur in the industry. With the need for rapid closing times, and completion rates, the industry as a whole has adopted a standard of per-fabricated faux material, and lower overall costs; they, the industry, willing sacrifices quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. The only people that suffer from this model are the homeowners. The reality is that most homeowners don't even realize they suffer from the effects of this business model as the awe and shock of ownership is very appealing, As a family we have many grips with this process, and although we know we are not alone in our dissatisfaction, with the quality of the home and the plans for the community, legally we are without recourse. In my casual conversation with many members of the community, there seems to be a very common theme of unhappiness and frustration, however, "I guess we will just have to deal with it," positions. Workmanship and quality of materials is builder grade apartment garbage that belongs nowhere near a 400k "custom " built home. Once you sign for your closing, you're nearly irrelevant and dealing with 15 different people for each issue that no one team seems responsible for to check in or see to it they ever get closed or adequately handled. It's beyond unprofessional, and disappointing to say the very least. Basically a complete waste of money. Do not use Century Communities

Still waiting on repairs...

I’m still waiting on fixes to issues with my home that I reported back in August, Others in the Century Communities neighborhood have reported the same problems and concerns. The company needs to improve their customer service and keep their word. One of my biggest issues right now is that we have to run the water for over a minute to start getting somewhat hot water. The company advertises these are energy efficient homes and they’re not. I’ve never had utility bills this high anywhere else before. I’ve also had to report on other issues multiple times to have only some of them be addressed at their convenience and as I mentioned, I’m still waiting on other fixes as well. Recently, one of the neighbors reported they had mice get inside their home and when trying to find the source of where they were coming from they had found holes in the drywall behind their oven and holes in their stairs and century suggested that they where the ones that brought them in. I know these people and they are clean, never before had they had a problem like this where they lived before and I’m the one that referred them to buy a home with Century Communities which I’m now regretting. ... The houses are poorly built. I had many problems with my house after moved in less than a month. water damage, AC, water leaking etc. you name it. Let alone other small things. I have bought new houses before. I have to say Century community is by far the worst regarding to quality which is the essence to the builder. Really hope Century Community can take the quality seriously. People are buying houses to live there for years to come. Please have some work ethics and build good houses. Otherwise, you are just wasting land!

The house is beautiful, but the details show many issues. The paint job on the base molding is not smooth you can actually see the spray and the dots. This makes it difficult to clean with the surface is not smooth. The drywall has soo many issues, the workers really did not care when they worked on my house. Walking into the model home everything looks amazing and how a nee build show look. But my house does not have the same care that went into making the model. There is nail coming out of my corner round and is painted. Like how careless can one be? It is very dangerous and hard to see because it was painted over. And I never received my screens for my windows??? No one has spoke to me about this issue at all. I am over this house and have only been living here about three month. The ac and heat upstairs is different on both sides of my house. One side is cool and or warm and the other side hardly feel the heat or cool coming out of the vents. As a first time home buyer i would have never imagined that this would have been such a stressful process from day one i moved into our home it has been nothing but problems & we've been in the house for about 3 months now either something wasn't done right or it was done very poorly. i feel with this builder all they care about is closing on the home and getting there money and if there's are done wrong they either tell you "that's how it is" or there's nothing that can be done and expect you to just say OK and that's it. Price wise for the homes are good & decent but the poor workmanship isn't worth all the headache personally i wouldn't recommend this builder to either my family or friends and that's just me being honestly due to my experience and what i have gone thru people do your research ... You build the wrong house. Enough said

So many issues and the only thing that gets done is an email. No one actually fixes anything!

This is starting to be the worst home buying experience ever in my life. From the beginning of trying to switch me as the primary on the loan, to the Air Conditioner in the house being way too loud & sounding like a hurricane. The next two issues deals with the A/C condensation lines releasing large amounts of water, that is destroying the landscaping/soil of the yard. This is due to the incline/grade of the yard. The next issue is; moving into the home and not having the stakes on the right side of the house, to see our boundary line for landscaping.

Regretful. Wish I never bought into this community.

We paid hard earned money for a new home. The Sales Process and Sales Team was wonderful. But the rest is substandard. If I had to do it over again, I would pass. We have issues that were cataloged during final walk-thru that remains unresolved. They haven't been in touch in months. Workmanship is horrible and clearly their is no pride in what they do. We notified the Project Manager of issues during construction and he just ignores them. I wish I had positive things to say about my experience because this was my dream home. I worked all my life to get this home. But I just can't.

You have to watch Century very closely, we have been in the house for 3 mos and still have not had final items that were supposed to be done within 2 weeks of closing. During the construction time we continuously found errors and had to report them to get them corrected. The lack of attention to detail was a challenge to us.

Neighborhood looks like a dump site. Home looks 10 years old already. Absolutely no response to issues.

I feel for the price of the home the quality does not match its value. I closed with a bad paint job a rusted toilet and now the carpet is tearing around the edges in my family room. I have visited other builder where there were absolutely no Imperfections. I feel that if this home was sol on the north side of atlanta I would of gotten what I paid for. My two son are looking for home but will never recommend a century property. The personnel promise to fix then to get you to close but once every has closed it a difference experience.

Foundation is not good

No one responded to my online issues and request .

My new house was put together by some people that had no regard for what a new home was suppose to look like and taken care of ! We are documenting all the discrepancies left behind by this company that now we have to wait a year that hopefully can be fixed. We feel that we made a mistake buying from century!!
