The home buying process is rather easy. It is trying to get things fixed that were noted on the walkthru that have not been completed.

I’m disappointed. I’ve owned new homes before . Pulte is either building too fast to keep up, or they’re hiring lower class workers, or they’re going downhill. I’ve never had such sloppy, messy, incomplete, unfinished work before. We personally have had to repair so many builder “oops” because getting them out to fix seems to be a problem. There are also a lot of larger “oops” we are waiting for resolution.

We notified our project manager Steve of issues with our kitchen cabinets during walkthrough, at move in and after move in. Still has not been repaired. Almost 90 days later we finally have an appointment for repair after far too many emails and phone calls. There was non communication through the process - finally got the Customer Service Manager to assist. Thanks Tatiania! Still had to wait another 3 weeks to get an escalated schedule. Week 7 our microwave started spewing smoke, a board had burnt up. We called Customer Service who redirected us to Whirlpool warranty. Their safety team told ...

It is extremely difficult to get any follow-up on items that are on backorder or that were promised to be fixed at thirty days after close. Seems to be a consistent problem with many new home owners.

That everything is a upgrade, I found I could not get what I really wanted, because the smallest thing was a upgrade. Therefore I am not as satisfied with my home. I guess I really couldn’t afford this home , so I would make sure my friend and family understands before buying here.

Working with Ken in sales was really good, he kept us informed about the progress of our home up till it was finished. Our building Supervisor Kohl kept in touch with us on each step of the build and corrected any issues that we had along the way. Right now we're compiling a list of items that need to be corrected and will wait and see how that is handled.

Poor quality and bad communication from builder

I love my neighborhood however the building process was rough. The project manager hardly initiated communication, I always had to ask for updates. When issues were found and brought to his attention I was told " that's normal" however I am familiar with building code and they were not following code.

The home has many unfinished items and nobody is responsive to get the work completed. The blue contractors tape is still up from the walk through.

The buying experience was great. The builder is terrible. The contractor did not return calls. A lot of items were not completed. I sent an email to the warranty department with the list of items that were not completed and they sent an email that someone would contact me. That was over a month ago and still no contact.

We feel the sales person was very helpful and guided us to choose the right home for us. Once the build began it was downhill from there. We pointed out several mistakes in the build to our project manager and as time went by it was clear the mistakes were not being addressed. Now that we have taken procession of our home it has been a month and there are so many problems with the inside and outside paint, we have mismatched medicine cabinets, our cabinets turned out very badly and the carpet tack strips come through the carpet. Getting the home was great but Getting a home whit lots of problems was a disappointment. Roof tile, roof vents not there. A kid could have painted the house better. Missing window. Holes in AC vent pipes. And many more things.

Entire experience was awesome except for one.. I would NEVER recommend pulte mortgage to anyone. I logged 7 calls with not one return call. That part was terrible

Once you buy your home, a person from Pulte or Del Webb goes through the house with you and then they want an excellent rating and tell you so Be sure before you do any rating that ALL has been completed on your checklist. We were promised repairs but they never came through and this was after the rating! Beware

Steve was our contact in the construction of our home. He was very responsive to our concerns and questions. We never had a problem getting in contact with him and as we were not able to visit the job site he worked very well with our local contact person. Any issues with construction were addressed immediately. Great job and a great house. Thank you Del Webb and Steve.

Bought a "spec" home". Saved time to "get in" but no changes allowed, so had to make changes after moved in at greater cost. Initial "punch list" of repairs and touch up has not been addressed in over 30 days. Not a big deal, just disappointing having to stare at little pieces of blue tape.

Dana did a great job of communication and keeping us informed. Overall the home is completed well. There are some things that in the design process should be pointed out so changes can be made to make logical choices that are not visible until after you move in like light switch placement when certain door choices are made and other similar items. These things Pulte should know and could point out to buyers.
