Final walk through and follow up left much to be desired

We were excited to do our walk through about a week before our closing date. There were still quite a few unfinished items, missing stove vent, stove, touch up paint, cabinet scratches etc. The representative jotted them down on a paper and we were supposed to sign off, go ahead and close and trust them to finish. We were told repeatedly it would happen in a day or two but it didn't. I understand there are labor shortages and supply chain issues but don't fib about it. At 30 days post close, I texted our guy and asked when we could expect the touch ups to be done. I never even got a response!

We’ve had experience with Pulte before and it was good. Pulte today is unresponsive to all the mistakes in the workmanship of these homes. At this point, I’m terribly disappointed in Pulte. It appears that nobody wants to take responsibility.

Our home in Buckeye Festival was built with two A/C. It in Florence they put one. Excuse was unsatisfactory. The Journey has a better system that the Voyage. I feel a mistake was made using old floor plans to build them in Florence and Buckeye builds with newer plans because two A/C are needed. VP for Arizona Jermey is useless and that’s the reputation he has from others that have gone to him with issues. They never provided me a letter from Pulte engineer saying the difference between Buckeye and Florence and why. Also why was this house not upgraded like Journey system? Think a mistake ...

We love our new house and the sales team but the contractors and materials used are generally suspect. The painters were sloppy, did not use drop clothes and the paint was of poor quality - both inside and out. The stucco and roofing work was also done hastily and poorly. My opinion is that during COVID Pulte had too few contractors to keep up with sales which resulted in poor overall quality. Major and miner details overlooked. No stone on our courtyard wall, sloppy paint job, outlet boxes in crooked, holes in stucco, grout missing or has holes in it, tiles that were laid that have holes in them. Over a month, still no repairs.

Check all doors, cabinets and garage doors. Too many chips, cracks and spaces in cabinets walls etc. Noises when closing the garage door. When you do the walk through, prior to signing, take the time to look carefully at the entire home. If you see inferior quality workmanship and the poor condition of doors and cabinets, say so.

We had a great field manager which was the highlight of our home building process with Dell Webb. We had a really bad experience with the design center and sales office. Coining out of our design center visit we had selected and signed off on a specific design for an inside fireplace. During construction we noticed that the area was being framed for a totally different design than what we had selected. Watch every detail and don't move-in until you are satisfied. I am still waiting for a light bulb in my front porch and many other things to be fixed or explained how to be set up.

So many issues with our house would have been avoided, and given Dell Webb a great reputation if they just slowed down. So many silly mistakes : pendant light electrical not hooked up, many outlets weren't working, blinds were jammed and had to be replaced, dishwasher didn't shut so it wouldn't work, bathroom door stopped closing, surround in guest bath was cut and left a gaping hole, taping of wall is covering the trim that runs along the floor since it's obvious they are in a hurry. We moved in to our new home and it flooded with grey water the first day we were in because a fitting was lodged in the mail drain. That was September 5th. They had to saw out a 4'x4' section out of our slab. They did recapture exhaust from the saw and our house was FILLED with the dust of the concrete so bad that you couldn't see across the hall and all of the smoke alarms were going off. The choice of materials and configuration is very limited. And even though our contract specified FULL OVERLAY cabinets, we did not get them. And I'm still unhappy about that. I think you should live up to the terms of the contract.

Disappointed in dealing with the Pulte bureaucracy when trying to get minors changes made during the build process. Pulte was more concerned with the process of building your house than it was to making sure they provided great customer service. Had to pay a $250 service charge to change out a refrigerator that cost less than the refrigerator that Pulte had scheduled for the house. Painting is a very poor quality and still cleaning or touching up paint issues.

Pulte Homes communications are terrible. More excuses than carter has pills!!!!!!! Took 17 months to get into the house. Cost us alot of money due to rising interest rates. Would I ever do business with them again NO NO NO!!!! Talked to other people where will live and the same response from almost every one.

I worked with three builders and they were all excellent. The vendors you use are horrible. My home was very dirty when I moved in. Caulking not complete, stained and scratched floors, cupboards don’t close properly. Scratched granite countertops, etc.

I feel the overall experience was underwhelming. Very dissappointed in materials and quality of work. It seems that Pulte is not interested in building a quality home. The amount if stucco is half the amount that was homes they built previously. Quality if cabinets are horrible and the paint they used is very cheap. They told us that everything found on the walk through would be fixed by the time they turned over the keys. They had only fixed a small percentage.

We have been lied to since the beginning. Additional golf course and club house we were told they were building - apparently Pulte knew as far back as 2017 that was not going to happen. Final punch list has barely been touched, Pulte didn't even do touch up paint! Still waiting on several items like mirrors!
