The community we have moved in to is amazing and close friendships are already established. Unfortunately, the experience of building this house was not a good one. Lack of communication and concern by the builder has left us with a less than desired result. This is the 5th home we have built and had more issues with poor workmanship and choices. From the design center to the final walk thru the process was rough. Having to add so much electrical to have lighting, the paint that is nothing more than primer that you can't wash. Not given any options on color but you should be given a finish that doesn't rub off. You should not have to hire a painter! It's like having a white chalk on your walls! Silicone and grout to hide mistakes. Window screens that are too small. No pride in finish carpentry. Outside stucco painted instead of having color added before application. These items were brought to the attention of the supervisor who did not follow thru on correcting before closing date. ... More

After you take possession of your new home a 800 number is provided for issues. The recording says allow up to 72 hours for a call back. And company that takes 72 hours to return a call should so re evaluate their business practice. When I did receive a call back the person was very unprofessional. Thank God my issues are minimal because I feel like I’m on my own.

Lots of defects, quality issues. Very disappointed.

My agent Chad Holmes was amazing. He did everything right. But I have the wrong countertops through my whole house. The paint job is terrible and not two toned like I thought, due to an apparent paint shortage. It has taken me a whole month to get someone over here to take a look at things and now I’m told it could be until January before the repairs can be completed. The community is beautiful and I love my house, but think many things could have been done much better.

We started the process of purchasing our home by looking at your website and by visiting the sales center in Mesquite NV. We chose a Spec home and ended up purchasing it. We liked the thought of your ‘Quality Control’ process indicated in the model home display and on your website – we found the local managers do NOT proceed the way it was presented. We NEVER had a construction walk through as the process progressed, being told they were too busy. Luckily, we lived nearby and could drive by and see the progress. At one point we were contacted by the design center and invited to come and see the upgraded options for our Spec Home. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and cordial – she introduced us to a rep who would show us the items. The Rep immediately stated what a waste of time this was as we could not change anything. She said it was a waste of her time and ours. She showed us samples of tile, carpet etc and said – there it is, any questions? We thought we were going to be shown the optional upgrades chosen by the design center. This was very frustrating! Your Rep should at least be friendly and take 30 to 40 minutes and let us know what we were receiving for our 720-thousand-dollar home - That person should not be in any position related to customer service! It was apparent the construction managers were busy with many homes and were not concerned with ‘quality control’ or ‘attention to detail’. All of the homes under construction were filthy – full of dirt and construction debris, including trash from the workers - empty drink containers (water bottles, soda cans, beer cans etc), old lunch trash, and leftover, discarded building materials – all scattered about even with trash bins available. Driving through the construction areas it looked like driving through a landfill area. Other local construction areas were always kept in a tidy manner, showing that those projects are important to them. On our home, we mentioned our concerns of the debris (dirt, paint, grout, drywall mud, etc) accumulating in the track of the $37000.00 double sliding rear door – were told they would do something about it but NEVER did until just prior to the closing week. We also mentioned that a bathroom window had been sheet-rocked over – it took 5 weeks before they even looked at the structure and finally corrected it. Our Sales Rep said she had been talking with the construction managers who said the plans don’t include that window and that all homes have a construction package with the related materials. The window had been installed because it was included in the package. I sent pictures of the issue and requested the sales rep meet us at the structure – upon arrival, she said that she now understood what we were referring to. Later, we were contacted about the installed interior doors were the wrong size – They explained they had been looking at the wrong plans all along and that there had been a few changes in the Parkland model – they had been using the old plans and not the updated ones. They told us that 4 Parkland models had to have the interior doors replaced with the correct sized ones, including ours – the change out was completed with little care given to ensure the bottoms of the door frames extended to the flooring and that paint did not get on the tile. With a new home priced as this one, one should expect a little quality control and attention to detail. During the final walk-through, there were many items that needed to be addressed – had proper care been given, things like the sliding door track would not have been a problem, the garage floor would look like a new floor, not marked up like a used garage, it would not have been necessary to have the cleaning crew return clean grout off the tile in the bathroom areas or to clean up obviously spilled material on the tile in the main portions of the living area. At closing we were given the keys to the home. The keys did not work properly in the door from the garage to the living area. I called and the construction manager arrived shortly and tried them with the same result – he said the key person had already left the area but would be by the next day to fix the issue. The next day (a Friday) came and no one called or arrived. I called and e-mailed and was told someone would be there on Monday – on Tuesday I visited with two construction managers who were in the area talking and they made a call and said the locksmith would be there to fix it. No one called or responded – Finally the door was fixed 10 days after closing. To make matters worse, I received an e-mail asking that if I couldn’t rate the construction portion a 10, to please reply first to discuss why. I did respond and said that if a 10 was so important, why didn’t they live up to a high rating – I did not complete that survey as I felt like it was only a paperwork exercise and that it really wasn’t something that would make a difference. Our understanding, being told to us by the construction manager prior to closing, that we would live in the home for 30 days, writing down things that needed to be addressed – it was presented as if the construction group would return and fix those issues – at the 30-day period, we were then told that it was a warranty thing and not a construction thing – had I known that, I would have delayed funding until they were actually finished. Others in this area have told of their issues and how they were treated during the process – seemed more like a - kick the can down the road process - rather than one of genuine concern – kind of unprofessional. We do enjoy our home and its location – it is sad that the process was tainted and filled with the apparent lack of concern and lack of attention to detail on the part of the construction process. ... Was not happy that we had no oven & Did not find that out until our walk thru !!! Walk thru was 4-12-22 & we were told should get oven / microwave in 4 to 6 weeks !!! We tried calling texting & emails to 3 to 4 people & finally just got a response saying they received our info about our concerns !!! They said they are very busy but will get back to us !!!! Very poor customer service overall !!! As of todays date still no oven / microwave. Some residents that moved in around my timeframe got theirs ??? There is no excuse for not having those items ordered since we picked them out last year !!!

Our home was purchased approx 60 days ago and we have had and still have quality control issues. Lack of communication and follow up definitely an issue. Tired of hearing we are to busy and don’t have enough help and Covid-19 as excuses. Slow down the process then and pay attention to what is currently going on and address them accordingly.

The quality of my Granite is not good. I upgraded my lights and standard were put in. Been in my house 2 months and still waiting for lights and they won't refund my money.

We are still using loaner appliances after 2 months in the home. When will we be getting the stovetop, refrigerator and dishwasher that we ordered? Other than the house being incomplete, it's a nice home. The HOA is easy to deal with. Our neighbors are friendly. It's been a good choice for a winter home.

Please be sure to thoroughly and completely check your home.

Built quickly without attention to detail.

Bought a spec...for model and location..pallet turned out great...response to blue tape items takes a while.

Substandard communication during construction process, and we were fatigued after our requests for numerous meetings on site were met with indifference and silence. We had to constantly refer back to our sales agent.. 12 months of requesting a status via an on site meeting that never happened until the week of the closing.

Everyone we dealt with was great, even though our home was delayed by nearly 3 months, we always felt they cared about us and our problems.

There were problems with delays and no materials. We had to spend additional monies that wasn't budgeted for living expenses over and above. Not very pleased with timing. House is fine.

We love our home however some upgrades were super expensive compared to after market sub contractors. Builder flooring was not customizable unless you pay more than double of what it's worth. Backyard and front yard landscaping should be more customizable. Exterior paint was substandard. Drip lines are all done with cheap thin wall tubing that always breaks after a few years.

Del Webb builds a wonderful home. The only issue is the options you choose above a base model is OVER PRICED!!

Sean was helpful in the sales office. Tiffany in design center was very nice and helpful. Alejandro was our project manager and he was the best part of our entire process. Design center was an absolute money grab. Everything was overly expensive. Several of our new neighbors are ripping out the free items and putting their own tile and carpet in because the prices in the design center were SO extreme. Talking about our new HOA.....If your friends are in town it will cost you $5 a piece to bring them into the pool/ hot tub or workout area. I think to bring a friend to the pickle ball courts cost $5 as well. Keep in mind we already pay $153 monthly for all these amenities We love our new home and so far really enjoy our new neighbors, but I will NEVER buy another new home. ... More

Lets start at the sales office. Were never told the model was different of what was built. Different roof tiles, windows that did not open and doors that were eliminated. When questioned were told that the model was reengineered. Nice if salesperson told us this at the beginning. The construction of the home in my opinion is not quality built. The 2x4 exterior walls with no sheathing when 2x6 would add more insulation and sheathing would make a much sounder structure. Interior walls at 24 inches on centers is another thing I did not like. The floor outlet in the great room is useless as it cannot be put where you want it. Limits furniture layout. The base price for the house is reasonable but the addons are way overpriced. I wanted a side door in the garage but at $10,000 insane. We chose to have different interior paint other than the base white. Cost $5800 Does a different color paint cost this much maybe some additional labor. In costing out the money we spent on upgrades $72000 my cost to do would have been at least 35% less. If I had to do it over again, I would buy the base home and do the upgrades on my own. At the end of construction, we did a walk through with the Project Mgr. and noticed a lot of blue tape for things to be corrected mostly paint, the big disappointment was the carpets were not put in the right rooms. We did close after the walk through but will never do this again until we have a second walk through to make sure everything is completed to our satisfaction. Upon moving in we still had blue tape on walls for paint touch up and we noticed other areas that needed touch up, During the next four weeks in the home we had the following issues , crack around exterior window, 2 cabinet doors came apart, broken shelf in cabinet, exterior doors needed adjustment, crack in mirror where outlet was installed, micro wave frame came loose, plunger in sink not connected, kitchen spray nozzle needed adjustment, patio ceiling needed to be repainted, window installed crooked needed adjustment and electrical issues. There were some outlets that did not work switches hooked up wrong. These were corrected but it took them 2 hours. We signed up for the white service and had a difficult time getting this service as no one seemed to know about it. We are waiting for some things to be completed. Another issue was the filters for the ac/heating unit. I was told they were changed after the completion of construction but when I checked them, they were clogged and full of sheetrock dust. Very disappointed that there were so many issues in this build. Most of these items should have been noticed by your project manager example: how can you not notice that the wrong carpets are installed!! We love the Mesquite area and hope to enjoy are new home once all the issues are taken care of. ... More

Salespeople were great, craftsmanship of the home not great, finishes are kind of cheap, Pulte options were extremely overpriced

Pulte homes would do a better job with Management that kept track of the progress of the homes and supervised the subcontractors to make sure that when they were on the job,that they took the time to protect the work of the other subcontractors.A lot of the punch list would be avoided if everyone respected the work of all of the subs involved.The warranty person has a hard job of call backs for damage done during the job because subs don't protect the work of other subs.There is also a lot of down time-it could be lack of qualified workers,lack of training,poor supervision.Safety training seems to be a problem too.PPE,proper loading/securing loads,garbage blowing all over the development.Piles of debries,lack of dust control during construction and poor clean up of ongoing jobsites. ... We wish that Pulte,would have been more flexible with our closing date. It seems everything had to be by Pulte rules. The outside paint job on my home was terribly substandard hopefully it will be corrected for future home buyers.

One of the first things I wanted done from the initial visit to the models was to be plumbed for solar…It was NOT plumbed for solar! Poor painting on front door as well as interior. “Gunk” on the tile floor that I cannot remove. Unhappy withe the space under all doors.

Have a few issues with my new home so far I haven’t heard back when they will be taken care of. Paul Warn was a wonderful contact person to keep me updated. Details of the home may have been overlooked? We’re simple things such as painted doors, light fixtures, that don’t work sliding doors that have issues things that I would have thought after hiring, my own inspector would have been found? My daughter is a real estate person from Orange County. We have different people coming up to check the Del Webb retirement area out??. I will have a better handle on things after being in the home for more than a month hopefully? After things are addressed. ... More

This is the second home that I purchased from Pulte and it will be the last. The first house which was located in Florida had a terrific floor plan and the service that I received from Pulte was good. I liked the floor plan for the current house in Lake Las Vegas but after living here for a few weeks I realize that there is too much useless space. This means that the places where space is needed are too small (ex. closets, kitchen cabinets, pantry). The worst feature about this house is that that the air conditioner and the forced air unit were installed next to the master bedroom. There are three thermostats in this place which means that the air conditioning system cycles three times in a row to cool the entire house. The compressor and forced air unit make a tremendous amount of noise every time they start and stop and this makes it very difficult to get any sleep. Whoever designed this system was brain dead. ...
