The time frame for building my house is 8 months too much. Almost everything is extra charges except structure. My best advice to buyers. Buyers are aware.

Experience was excellent prior to closing. Our project manager was terrific. Once the closing occurred and others became involved the level of satisfaction dipped below great. We have a major issue that is not getting appropriate attention.

Overall, our process was very satisfactory. Materials and fit and finish were very good. We have built 6 homes and this experience rated high on the list. Be sure to make sure you cover all deficiencies prior to closing. After closing little things are fixed. We have a major situation and it proving to be harder to remedy.

Sales agent Kirsten worked hard to get us the home we wanted. Construction Mgr Chris was great- responsive, timely and personable. Office Mgr Liz was very helpful and friendly.

The experience was not a pleasant one. In the beginning the only person I would give high marks to is the design center (Karen). The field manager (Thomas) was great to a point. His follow through was not. They promise to keep you informed, they did not. I know he had a lot of work, and we tried to be patient but we were worn down. Hopefully the outstanding issues will be resolved soon.

We are still awaiting the delivery of our ordered refrigerator and we have been in our new home for over six weeks. We are also waiting for a replacement dishwasher due to the original being damaged. We have been told on several occasions that the products were going to be delivered and then no follow up from Pulte. This is not acceptable and we are very disappointed with the lack of customer service we have been receiving.

Overall, we were happy with our buying experience and are happy with our home. The quality is better than some other homes we have seen built in the area. Communication from the builder could have been better. For example, if you want to get your mortgage from someone other than Pulte, make sure to ask what information they need and when. We felt like we were forced into a mortgage with Pulte Mortgage, although the rate was very good. Pulte Mortgage is difficult to work with. When it was time for our appointment for upgrades and choosing color schemes, we were only given partial information ...

Master bath tile needs to be redone in areas and waiting for time to be scheduled on that. Electrical outlets all had to be rechecked due to loose wiring that caused flickering of light fixtures and kitchen lighting to not work. We feel the construction was rushed and very disappointing for a Dell Webb home.

Attention to detail is lacking. Example: hot/cold water in vanity was reversed in the structure for one of the bowls. Only solution is to cross-over the connection hoses. Another example: 3-bank light switch at opposite ends of kitchen each control the same 3 light areas, but the center switch controls a different area on each bank. Easy fix but poor attention to detail. Another example: Wine cooler installation - door rubs on one side of the cabinet. This sort of stuff should be caught by Del Webb quality control, not homeowner. Other silly stuff like a window blind not functioning properly, ...

Some of the quality of workmanship was lacking with regard to the hardwood floors and the deck. Very odd that soap dishes were offered in the showers but not niches. Also felt rushed to closing with items still left unresolved.

Everything was fine until we closed on our home. During the final walkthrough, we found a couple of problems, namely the garbage disposal wasn’t working and the globe on one of the lights was broken. We were guaranteed that they would be taken care of. It’s been almost 2 months since our closing and we’ve tried to contact the builder a few times and have been unable to get a response from him. These things still have not been taken care of.

I’ll start with the sales experience. We were very interested in this development from the get-go. We signed up for the grand opening sales event, walked thru 3 models and got pricing on those models, but requested info on another model. Despite follow-up emails and phone calls, it took 4 months for someone to get back to us. Needless to say, the prices increased substantially in those 4 months. Once we signed the contract, it became a game of hurry-up and wait. Our first construction manager would send an email asking us to schedule something the next week, which we did, then we didn’t ...

Salesforce was knowledgeable and helpful in the planning process. Construction Manager was experienced and attentive to our needs and details. For the most part the warranty personnel are responsive to our needs and concerns with one exception.
