Pulte needs to have more knowledgeable customer representatives at the front office when making a purchase. In my case I didn’t feel I had that. Questions couldn’t be answered and I didn’t receive the professional care that I should have. The professional care I did receive was from the building supervisor. He was in contact with me throughout the whole building process. He was excellent.

It was a good shopping experience.

Pulte homes is a great constructor. Very good experience overall.

Field manager was really great!

Beautiful home, wonderful quite surroundings. Be mindful of the fact that if you don’t upgrade certain features, e.g., the paint, the product will not be top shelf. Plan on spending as much as 15-20% above the purchase price for various upgrades. Still a great value though. I wish we had been given a warning about the fact that our mail service would not commence until some arbitrary date, i.e., when the HOA decides to give the Post Office the go ahead. We had to find this out the hard way. There is construction going on by us, not that much, but it should not impede mail delivery. We have to make our semi-weekly pilgrimage to the Post Office, which is not ideal in these COVID-affected times. ... More

Overall we are pleased, however some of the work showed a lack of attention to details.

Overall we are satisfied with our new home. The sales office personnel were great, keeping us informed throughout the building process and helping with the financing options. The construction crews were also great. Perhaps the area of design upgrades could be improved. Home buyers may not think of everything and it would be nice if the designer helped identify potential issues. We upgraded kitchen door knobs and fixtures which we understood carried into the baths. The baths do have the same upgraded knobs, but the fixtures did not change. Now our baths have three different types of hardware: upgraded knobs, brushed nickel door handles, and polished chrome sink and shower fixtures. We also asked for a floor outlet to be put in the gathering room, perhaps for plugging in a lamp near the sofa. It was placed very close to the middle of the floor area, making it totally unusable. ... More

They were responsive to my concerns

As a couple who has built 7 other new homes through the years, we consider the Pulte experience of selecting and constructing the home to be very good. We enjoyed it. The Pulte Mortgage experience was the only black mark on the entire process. Otherwise it would have been 5 star overall.

Build a good house

Our house was done in the time frame that was expected.

My field manager was fantastic until she quit abruptly on the day of walk through and left me hanging. Due to holidays another field manager was not assigned for 2 weeks. Since it was the holiday the warranty office was short staffed. The issues and repairs that should have been taken care of before closing was not handled for over 30+ days. Stone Creek has beautiful landscaping every where except the Nottingham retention area where my home backs up to a muddy retention area. Yes I knew I was buying on a retention area, but I was assured they would do a better job at the beatification of the area. Its a muddy mess that has garbage flying around. I watched 3 men from the lawn company sit out there for hours and never bothered to pick up one piece of garbage. My salesman was good, the field manager was awesome until she quit, the follow up was ok, the title company needs help with communication of trusts, the insurance company is very slow to follow up with obtaining a policy, the quality of construction for the value is phenomenal. We really enjoy the layout and design features of our new home and the modern conveniences that came with it. Even though we have experienced issues with workmanship and material, Del Webb has respond quickly.

House was built and completed in 6 months

The building process was easy, but we had to closely monitor the quality of workmanship, especially the finish work.

The people associated with Pulte from the sales team to the field managers are all very helpful, personable and easy to work with. We purchased our house and lot during Covid19, sight unseen from 1000 miles away and it was the easiest home we have had built to date. We worked with a designer online using facetime to choose our cabinets, counter tops, flooring, etc... and our sales rep. gave us good advice on what features and options to go with. He also sent us photos of the construction process each week and answered any questions or concerns that we had. Our only complaint is it took longer to build then expected, 5 months from start of construction and 8 months from our order date. Overall however, a very favorable experience. ... More

On reflection we realize we needed to have spent even more time considering all the options being offered.

The success of large scale home construction projects largely depends on "production housing"; ie a form of on-site manufacturing that employs speed. While this bolsters efficiency it can compromise quality.

Great home buying experience overall!

This was our 5th new home purchase. Overall, the experience was about average. One negative aspect was that Del Webb required a 20% deposit at contract, which in my opinion was excessive.

Nice neighborhood, quality of finishes below expectations.

Homes are basically built very well, but at the same time they go up fast. Home buyers are given ample opportunity to stay abreast of plans, changes, and overall progress. COVID-19 has affected some aspects, and we wish we could have somehow "gotten the jump" on things like landscaping and window coverings so they could get started near closing. But no regrets here!

We started with some bad experiences in sales. When that changed we seem to have missed a lot of info. There was alate start on our home and that has caused some problems, but overall we are well pleased.
