So many drops of paint on tile and carpets, hasn’t anyone heard of drop cloths? Convection ovens are commonplace today, but not in our new house.

I want to start by saying that our overall building experience was good. On the plus side, the house design and features that we agreed to up front, were followed through to perfection. The project manager, Nick, was awesome and kept us informed during the build process and was responsive to our needs. However, we were disappointed with the condition of the home at final walk thru/closing. The whole process seemed rushed, which made for a lot of unresolved issues. I keep finding electrical plugs that don’t work. Builder responsive but I should not have to deal with it. Caulking and in chipped tiles bathrooms. Window in laundry room doesn’t close. Sliding class door won’t always lock, etc

The Sales Team and Service Team were / are great. Very helpful and customer service oriented. I purchased a completed Mainstay model. Here are a few cautions: The coverage of the tiled area in the Master Walk-in Spa Shower is insufficient. Water splashes onto unprotected drywall and wood molding. Pulte refused to correct it as it was "built to plan." Light switch in the Master bath is mounted several steps inside adjacent to the sink. At night you have to "feel your way" into a darkened bathroom to turn on the light. The steps inside the garage are a trip hazard, especially for older ...

I was most impressed with the design center experience. There were so many options, all very systematically arranged. The quality of these varieties were tangible. Michelle A was extremely approachable, not making you feel judged by the level/pricing of any of your selections. She was also so knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure. Most of the construction management team was wonderful. They were friendly as well as informative. The frequent construction updates were exciting and welcoming to receive.

We purchased a spec home in the final phase of our development. Pulte offered strong incentives to settle quickly. The upside is that we got a great value. The downside is that there are things about the home we would’ve done differently had we been able to customize it at the outset. The construction manager responsible for the home was extremely responsive and helpful prior to and immediately following move-in. Overall, we are very happy with our home.

Working with one of the Pulte Mortgage people was the biggest drag of all, Zero to One star is what keeps Overall from being a 5 star; Quality of workmanship was shotty in a few areas; Trustworthiness was close to 5, but we had to alert builder about things that were promised in written things not done; design center cost were marked up way too high on several items; vendors are way too slow responding to warranty ticket items, then they don't really do anything to correct issues on the first time. Once you buy your home, a person from Pulte or Del Webb goes through the house with you and then they want an excellent rating and tell you so Be sure before you do any rating that ALL has been completed on your checklist. We were promised repairs but they never came through and this was after the rating! Beware
