Poor communications; Awful mortgage experience

Very poor at returning phone calls; acknowledging emails. Pulte Mortgage requires a complete do-over. No sense of customer service. In the end, I gave up a $7,000 bonus just to *escape* and move to a different lender.

We love our home. The materials used were good quality but the attention to details is not what I expected from Del Webb. There is a lack of communication and follow through from our project manager. The community construction manager was professional and always handled issues when he was contacted. We closed on our home well over a month ago and are still waiting to be contcted for our 30 day walk. Overall, this is our home and we are glad to be here.

We love our home and community but were very stressed due to the salesman not returning calls. We would have to email him as many as five times and he still would not answer. It would have been smoother with someone who was willing to communicate with us

The condo is overall great. My one gripe is that the floors were dirty at the time of closing and hid construction debris stuck to the grout and tile floors which I could not get out afterwards. Their warranty department is responding but only after aggressive follow up (staying on them). It is unfair of the builders to expect the buyer to find every imperfection in the house during a couple of walk throughs. You need at least 2 weeks after moving in. After closing, the attitude of the builder has been "well, you signed the closing papers, now it's your problem". Judging by the degree ...

Seems like houses are being built too fast and corners are being cut. Builder is not responding to issues in a timely manner or at all. We are at about the 2 month point and we still don’t have the refrigerator that was supposed to come with the house, this is just ridiculous. I understand supply issues but if I went out on my own to get a refrigerator I would have had it by now, am I supposed to believe an individual consumer can get a refrigerator faster than a large builder such as Pulte. I have submitted my 30 day list of repairs needed and have heard nothing about when this is going ...

The overall experience was good and we love our home. We have a couple of things of why we did not rate 5 star. Pulte Mortgage, very unhappy with the loan experience and the loan officer. No return calls and poor customer service. The second issue we had, was a couple of the upgrades we purchased, we felt the sales office was not transparent and upfront. When we got to the design center, we were then told we did not have a choice on some things and wish we were told upfront.

It's unfortunate that one bad experience can ruin an otherwise excellent product. Our garbage disposal was destroyed by a golf ball size glob and other pieces of hardened concrete or grout left there by workers. After some back in forth with the Pulte customer service personnel the disposal was replaced by a plumber. I hope this shoddy workmanship is not repeated elsewhere in the house.

The home itself is intelligently designed and well-built. Post purchase, inside warranty items have been handled promptly and to our satisfaction. Pre and post purchase, outside items have been problematic and not handled to our satisfaction.

this isn't my first new build home but I'm very surprised at the number of repairs and fixes that my homes has needed and still needs upon moving in. I realize you're still building but my needs are equally as important after I paid for my home.

We chose Del Webb because of it's location and community activities and atmosphere. We have concerns about quality of structure itself. I would have preferred to have an independent architect review plans. The fact that actual building plans were secret and hidden were a warning sign to me. Electrical and water supply may barely meet local codes, but for the price, it could have been better.

The home buying experience, as a whole, was very good. Our sales person was very good - helpful, responsive and always cheerful and ready to be of help! We encountered some problems early on in the building process, and they were rectified. The building process was generally painless, and our project manager was great in responding to any concerns we had (always with a smile!). After we moved in (6weeks ago) we have been noticing quite a few deficiencies in the quality of workmanship. We are in the process of addressing them with the builder, so the jury is still out! The quality of paint used is not good had to repaint interior before I moved in. Also Sheetrock was not prepared as should , had to have many areas repaired. More attention needs to be paid to detail. Cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Chris was great to respond and was great to work with.
