Worst experience building Told anything just to make a sale Disability needs not met!!!!! Would not recommend

Was first class experience working with Pulte

All of the people from sales to closing were superb to deal with. They we’re knowledgeable and professional. The construction supervisor was organized and able to keep the building of our home on schedule. We are happy with our new home.

6 weeks into home and several issues from items not completed to items being temporary and not yet replaced. most are what I would call simple and should never have happened. yet, they still haven't been completed as of this date.

There focus is too close, not to complete the house or be concerned about quality.

The buying part was fine. My sales agent was very attentive and kept in touch constantly. She also took pictures at various points and sent them to me, which I greatly appreciated since I didn't live close enough to check on progress frequently. Since closing, however, I have had endless issues with the quality and response time in getting problems fixed. Every separate item requires a separate repair order and pictures. Then you wait for someone to approve the repair, the vendor to contact you, and even then, sometimes the items are not all fixed and they have to come back. I feel that my closing was rushed at the expense of quality and that some of the vendors used for the different trades are not experts at what they are doing. ... More

BUG BUG BUG them or stuff doesn't get addressed! Our garage door sounds like it's going to pop off the wall...Pulte has nor addressed this issue. Sucks

Would not recommend this builder to anyone. Been living in our home for almost a month and there there has not been substantial progress on fixing our long punch list of problems, plus finding more every day. Philosophy seems to be to let the new owner move in and find the problems for them. Several neighbors have expressed similar feelings but have said they eventually get around to addressing the problems, but it takes awhile, months. The worst issue, however, were the delays associated with the closing date. We were ‘homeless’ for several weeks that ended up costing us quite a bit for meals, hotels, etc. ... More

Our project supervisor was excellent in assisting us in getting a lot completed correctly during the processing of building especially during the end stretch.

Broken and chipped tile materials used by Pulte, split wood boards, electrical problems, sewer line crushed, doors dinted and dinged, pavers damaged, overall rushed and low quality construction, very dissatisfied homeowner. Builder not responsive to fixing problems, keep getting the run around. I regret buying a home built by Pulte.

Turnkey approach to home buying

Pulte Homes builds a great quality home I am a Building Inspector for the City of Goose Creek and inspect many other Builders in the area and Pulte is by far way ahead of any of the other Builders my Field Manager which I cannot name did an outstanding job on our Dream Home he is a true asset to the Pulte Construction Team they are truly lucky to have such a great employee such as him he made our entire building process and absolute pleasure

The builder poured the concrete slab wrong. After three weeks of trying to tell my field manager that through text, email, and voice messages, I finally found out the field manager had quit. After some time I got someone else to tell me they “identified the problem” but offered no plan to fix it. Even though I asked specific questions about reinforcing with rebar and using an expansion joint after they would jackhammer the concrete, I never got a direct answer if it would be done. I still don’t know if it was done. Things did not get better. Our current field manager says he will call, assures me he will take care of me “next week”, but never does. We have kick plates and trim pieces in our house to be put on but no one comes to do so. I found out they are sitting in our living room instead of being on because our field manager didn’t know he had to order them. Everyone is learning, so that isn’t the big deal but you would think a month after closing he would make us a priority, especially since it was his mistake. He has never said it was his mistake; a carpenter casually mentioned it. We are supposed to have a screened porch. The material has been here to make a porch for about six weeks. At our closing walk through, our field manager said “they will be here this weekend or next”. Of course that didn’t happen. Typical of the way he talks, but his words mean nothing. Somehow our house is the only house being built this summer that didn’t get gable vents. Still waiting for them. I can see a house on Haywood, one street over, with attic vents and the painted structure for the screen porch. It doesn’t even have siding or a garage door. How can our home not be a priority? Handles on master bath have not been installed. Same for some door stops. The floors and thresholds were covered with paint and some other substance. Our master bath cabinets also had quite a bit of paint on them. After over 10 hours of scrubbing on our hands and knees all but the thresholds are now clean. There is still paint on the kitchen counter we can’t get off. We just found the guest bath tub is cracked. During the summer my wife came over and found the bath tub mostly full of water. My wife mentioned it because she thought it was weird. It makes sense that they knew they broke it and were testing to see if it held water. The crack is across the top of the ledge and goes down about 3 inches into the tub. Not obvious until you look close, but definitely there. We have never even used it. There are corners in the master bath and kitchen where the tile doesn’t meet the trim. One time I got upset with the empty words of the field manager. I texted him that I lost my patience and wanted our house to be a priority over other houses that were started much later. He immediately called me and was yelling, almost screaming mad. He was yelling that he was tired of being held accountable for things he didn’t have control over and people he couldn’t control. He screamed that he hated Pulte and that he was quitting in two weeks. He didn’t quit. He is still here. My wife went to the Pulte website and couldn’t find a phone number. She found an email so three times she has sent an email asking for someone to contact her. No response. During the summer Pulte sent out a letter blaming delays on a lack of material and workers. That is partly true, but our materials were always here waiting on workers. My son built a house this summer with another builder in Hamilton county and has had zero problems. ... More

Tell you all good things they use but use anything they can cut their cost an charge the customer more

A quality sturdy built home

We are happy with our home overall but still dealing with some things that needed to be fixed.

Great responsible Builder. My questions and or concerns were always explained and addressed timely, fairly and appropriately.

Quality work done on time and good communication.

The people were nice but inflexible. The designer did not cover all the options available. Some items had a descent selection other things like paint colors, bath fixtures & lighting you had to take what they had. Their only interest is to pump out as many houses as possible in the shortest period of time.

Pulte bit off more than they can chew. Our salesman was great. The house was not ready by the closing date we were given. When we discovered the bathroom light switch was not installed as it should have been we asked for it to be done per the blueprint, and were told " no you have to suck it up" It has been a month the th I ngs they were supposed to fix are still not done. Very disappointing overall.

I'm still waiting for blinds, and other things in the house. The workmanship is mediocre at best. I have been waiting for them to finish things in the house. I love sun city, but the house isn't.

Worst home buying experience. House structure is bare minimum to meet code and nothing extra. Lots of particle board instead of actual lumber. No leniency for small design changes. To get a decent house you have to spend thousands of dollars in upgrades. After more than a month after closing we are still trying to get simple things completed such as paint touch ups, irrigation system corrected, caulking around the house both inside and out, damaged tile repaired, etc. We give up on the cleaners and cleaned dripped paint and grout off the floors ourselves so we could start moving in. We also did some of the texture repairs and painting ourselves with areas we could safely reach. There was no pride and ownership in the project. It was simply a cookie cutter manufacturing process to get a house sold, erected, and closed as quickly as possible in order to move on to the next one. 1: Through out the construction, no responses from the construction manager when we asked for updates and concerns. 2: Rescheduled 2 times for Closing because of their lack of coordination, timiming of completion and scheduling. 3: Staying in the hotel for 21 days because of their scheduling mistake caused us to incur into unexpected expenses. Yet, no one seems to care. Just blame COVID.
