I’ve been here now for a little bit over a month and have discovered a few things that I didn’t realize before I purchased my unit. All but one of the sinks in my unit were designed for ADA compliance. This meant that there was no bottom to the sink it went straight to the floor. So I had to pay a workmen $360 to make a shelf under the sink and install it. Personally, I believe that Del Webb Chauncy Lake should have designed the sink so The bottom of the cabinet could be unscrewed and removed for compliance with ADA regulations. I also found out that the oven that was to be in my unit was not the same oven that I was told I would get. The following are notifications of the various models numbers that were changed and changed back: “We had supply chain issues in the past which resulted in us needing to change our Whirlpool range offerings. In short, we are now back to the original Whirlpool range: Model #WFE550S0LZ. We were originally offering Model #WFE550S0LZ then switched to Model WFE775HOHZ to help us get through the supply issues and are now back to WFE550S0LZ. ” A week later, I received another update for the oven, ” We’re sending an updated email regarding your Whirlpool range. The range that you will be getting is WFES3530RS. This range replaces the WFE525S0JS model. Please see the attached documents to compare the key features.” Essentially, the model i received is a very basic model and did not include air fryer or preheating and other features.Needless to say, I was very disappointed in the replacement.” One of the toilets in my unit rocked and was generating a small leak. The Chauncy Lake team was quick to respond to this issue however, I asked that since the toilet had to be uplifted and a new ring inserted could I have a comfort toilet instead of the 15 inch Standard one. They said yes no problem however I was asked to pay $840 for the replacement. I considered this unreasonable. I don’t really know how much a toilet plus labor would cost, but I don’t think it would be $840. The charge came from the contracted plumbers and not Chauncy Lake. I still have some confusion about air filters and will get with the appropriate people to find out more details. Other than these issues, I find that Del Webb Chauncy Lake is the kindest and most considerate community that I have lived in in a long time. My neighbors are friendly and helpful and enjoy each other. It’s not unusual to find a group out front or on benches outside talking with each other.. Very poor construction quality. Crooked walls, crooked window frames. Inconsistent caulking.

Incredible community! Wonderful amenities, clubs and selection of homesites. Other Del Webb communities don’t compare. Sales people are accommodating and communicate well but sometimes not up to date with their pricing. Mateo, our site supervisor was fantastic through the entire process. Sadly, I believe that Pulte would do better to supervise their sub contractors rather than relying on warranty service to complete the homes. I understand that these are not custom homes but the finish work does not need to be sub standard. Wall finishes, trim carpentry, quality of cabinets, etc. all need substantial improvement. I’m confident that our 1 year review will be much better as Debbie with warranty service is doing a wonderful job. ... More

I love the home. The buying experience was as good as I believe it can be. Construction Manager was very responsive DURING CONSTRUCTION but after did not return numerous phone calls and texts. Landscaping around my house was very poorly installed. It took weeks to get even a small thing addressed and the large item still has not been.

Watch your house get built and point out what looks wrong. Don't wait until the closing day to review your home. Get a good 3rd party home inspector.

No builder experience. Pulte mortgage was very unpleasant to deal with.

Overall standards for pulte homes have gone down.

The day we closed, the punch list wasn’t completed. The tile and carpet floor was a mess. There were no shower heads in either bathroom. More important though was the drain in the master bath was completely blocked. It had to be jack hammered down to the P trap. That took days. After the drain was repaired the repair job to the tile was unacceptable so the tile work had to be remediated. Much better but still not perfect. There is still an unfilled shallow hole in the rear lot. Construction manager say it’s now the HOA responsibility. Of course I’m well down on the HOA maintenance list. The builders team was excellent and the construction manager was the best!! He was very informative and answered all my questions and concerns, and knowledgeable!

My biggest issue is with the lack of pride in workmanship that I have encountered in different areas of the build. That goes from laying sod on top of weeds and trash in the yard, to still finding paint on my carpeting, breaking the door frame on the main entry door and trying to cover it up with caulk and paint, and finally to the way the brick fireplace was finished around the outlet boxes. There was skilled workmanship done in many areas like the brick and stone work on the outside, but it is overlooked by all this other stuff. Another example is I purchased the upgraded bath package 64807 which stated the collection as being EVA and would have a brushed nickel finish. I was trying to add a robe hook in the Master Bathroom so I looked at that and quickly saw that it didn’t match the existing towel and toilet paper holders that are in my house. After going through the different options on the Moen site, I found the matching ones are from the Mason collection which are cheaper and are not even Brushed Nickel like the EVA package. The builder may have saved $50 on the build by using the cheaper fixtures. One of the first things I wanted done from the initial visit to the models was to be plumbed for solar…It was NOT plumbed for solar! Poor painting on front door as well as interior. “Gunk” on the tile floor that I cannot remove. Unhappy withe the space under all doors.

The building experience was too rigid. Not even small variations were allowed even when we offered to pay more

Nice people but probably all too busy. Takes far too long to get promised things done that should have been done before closing date. I hope I get my refrigerator parts this week.....after 7 weeks. People on the ground are really good people but maybe stretched too thin.

The ratings mirror the experience. Personnel very nice & try hard. Building specs not as nice.

I love my home design. It is designed for the way I live. Unfortunately throughout the build process we were presented with quality workmanship undermined by slipshod work that impacted overall quality resulting in the tear out and rebuild of the master shower after we moved in because a nail in a water line. Paint drops everywhere on my new floor and outside stucco is rough, uneven and been reworked. However, response to the water leak was timely.

Project manager was great. Finance & title were terrible. It felt like it was their first transaction ever.

There were a lot of issues to work through

Overall no major issues with the house so far other than having to replace the granite slab on the island twice. Warranty requests are usually promptly responded to. Workmanship is a bit sloppy as a repair then requires a follow up to fix things that the repair damaged. No regrets on making the purchase as long one as one makes the purchase with realistic expectations.

The completion of our house kept getting pushed out and took way too long to complete. Now living here it seems like the focus is building a lot more houses and not getting the few houses completed in a reasonable time. Once we moved in there were a few things that needed to be fixed and it took a while to get everything done. I didn’t know that we needed to keep our trash cans inside the garage and with the the heat we have to continue to treat them to keep the odor down. I think a little storage space should be attached to the house where we can secure the trash cans outside. We love our new home but some minor issues could be solved to make it great. ... More

Overall, we like our new home. However, there are still some issues unresolved over a month after closing. We moved into our home, expecting several issues to be repaired/resolved. Thankfully, many of those issues have been repaired/resolved quickly, but there are a few major issues still remaining and without a defined plan for completion or our satisfaction. If these are resolved over the next few weeks, I will raise my review. For now, we are not yet satisfied customers.

We were told our home would be done by sept, Oct or Dec but was not finished until April 15 which ended up costing us a lot of extra money for rent, 2 furniture moves and storage. Also, the wood on our roof was left uncovered through many rainy days for five months before it was finally covered. We are very concerned about its condition. The final product seems to be ok but I am concerned about problems in the future.!

We love our new home. That being said the workmanship and finish quality did not meet our full expectations. The trim work and paint quality were disappointing.

Very disappointed in the workmanship and lack of care taken to follow through. We have a garage that looks like we've lived here for several years. Paint splatters, gouges, etc. We had to hire someone to come in to clean our floors because of the left over residue from grout. At first we not pleased with responsiveness to issues but Brittnay has really stepped up and is taking care of us. Our house is beautiful but because of all the work we have had to do, it's still not a home.

It was challenging with our sales rep. We felt like it was all about the sale. In the end, we are satisfied, especially with our construction representative.
