Sales person promised things that were not delivered I did not know I would be buying a starter home They have addressed my concerns very quickly so I’m happy about that Neighborhood is nice

This has been the most stressful event in our almost 46 years together other than deaths in the family and personal medical issues. We visited the build site almost every evening after the workers had left and, on almost a daily basis, were disappointed to observe incorrect installation, shoddy workmanship, damage done and food wrappers, cigarette butts, empty soda and beer cans laying around. The so-called “finishing touches” were far less pleasing than we expected, such that we paid to have the entire house repainted before we moved in. Our home inspector said “Your house is structurally sound but cosmetically it is a disgrace.” That said our salesperson was excellent and after our first Field Manager quit and his boss took over our ability to communicate concerns and get them resolved improved greatly. All in all, we are trying to move past all the negativity and make this house our home. ... More

The windows are foreign mfg and should fall under structural warranty due to that fact and fact that there operation is questionable from time of installation

This was our first experience with a production home which was far different from a custom built one. Our project manager was respectful, communicated clearly, and was patient with our questions and concerns. However, he clearly was overworked with too many responsibilities.

The sales office was great.

building during Covid a challenge. Supply and labor issues throughout build. Inferior product at stages and difficult to get Del Webb to provide what was promised and expected. We felt it was necessary to watch them build and check on the work often. We love our home but the process was not easy or enjoyable.

I always heard great things about Pulte homes but never lived in one. Now that I own one and see the homes around me being built I have a different opinion. I don't understand why Pulte would use flat paint on the inside of the house. Also, the sides and bake of the house only have one or two panels of wood before the foam ,chicken. wire and stucco are applied. I am able to use a sharp object and with enough force poke it straight through the wall from the outside into the inside. Our electrical system is not operational in some parts of the home. We're in a great housing market and Pulte should benefit from this boom but not at the expense of the new home buyer. ... More

Love the design - Took longer than what was conveyed to me - No repairs have been done - finish work less than sub par

Friendly greeters at Sales office, nice designs of model homes, however; time consuming to get a lot & commitment to built. Felt like the development did not have enough quality skilled craftsmen working on different stages of the home. Pleased with the Warranty person but he maybe over worked because of the lack of having to redo work from previous groups with no pride in their work. Isn’t work a reflection of integrity?

The structure of the home I feel is very good. The location of the home is very nice. The details of the inside of the home, the workmanship is lacking, perhaps due to Covid and lack of workers? Perhaps the Field Managers have too many homes to keep track of? They have a warranty. Supposedly ALL those workmanship issues will be resolved w/in the year, so time will tell.

The workmanship was poor.

They are a production builder.

While we completely understand the issues with labor and materials in this current environment, we don't understand why we were not proactively kept informed regarding delays. Unless we contacted our construction supervisor and pressed him for information, we were not informed about any changes in the schedule. There were too many things left undone in the house at closing.

Pulte uses high quality material, but unfortunately does not use workers that care. There was a lot of sloppy workmanship that I am left cleaning up after moving in...things like paint and grout "splatter" and streaky paint jobs. Very unfortunate for the price paid.

Pulte has many built-in restrictions in their process and even contract. Literally all of your choices must be made in a single 2-hour session with the designer and once you sign off that day, you cannot add or modify any choices. It would not cost Pulte anything to simply allow a week for modifications. Also, in the contract itself it states you are not allowed to delay closing due to your punch list. This almost sounds illegal, but it is in the contract you sign. So make sure your read of the print, fine or otherwise.

Although our home was built very quickly, there was an obvious push to close at the end of 2021 before the new year even though both sides agreed there were numerous items not complete. After much discussion, we were told we had to close or pay a fine/lose the contract. Finally, after they considered it further, they agreed to push the closing out a week to complete most of the items.

I trusted the builder to get this done right and be responsive to my needs. We did find several things wrong when we moved in, like a bad hose connection to the dishwasher that caused water on our floor and we had to hire a plumber to get it fixed. WE found several other things not right, but overall it was quite good. We were told to get a home inspecter now before our 12 mo warranty is up and people that did that found lots of issues. We will have to consider this to make sure we have everything right. We have friends who are friends of the Pulte family and went to their daughter's wedding from Notre Dame University. We think they are people that care about us, but we need to make sure their employees do the same. ... More

PULTE HAS ALL THE BASES COVERED HOWEVER THE END FINISH OF THE HOME DID NOT MATCH THE QUALITY OF THE MODEL

The build went very quickly which may have caused issues with the construction of the home. Some issues were tended to right away - still waiting on other issues to be addressed and resolved.

Took 4 months more than promised to finish. Still some small items need to be addressed. Not always responsive to these issues

The workmanship of the finish work for trim, doors, countertops, tile and cabinets was not as expected based on the model homes. Several items are still in need of repair and we have been in for six weeks. Repairs are not expected for another month. Overall, though, the house fits our needs and our selling agent and warranty man are great to work with.

If you are looking for a personal touch …this is not a custom builder. They have several properties being built at the same time so you are one of many waiting in line to have issues resolved

There were many delays ( which is quite common these days). However, the response to our questions and concerns were met with nasty and callous responses. Customer service needs to be improved.
