I closed on my house on May 20, 2022. The process has been pretty bad considering the fact that I didn’t move in until June 15, because the house had not been completed, there’s still issues with my home that I’ve not been fulfilled the house was never clean, Their still issues with screens paint on the floor, and so on. A disappointment after the sale

There seems to be no commitment to "make things right" after the sale. Absolutely no follow-through on promises made and notes taken for construction faults to be corrected before closing. Six weeks later there seems to be no Pulte/Del Webb commitment to deliver on their promises of a finished product we would all be proud to own. Buyer BEWARE! We felt that many things during process were misleading. We were told one thing by sales person, electrical rep, and designer and then were not specifically written either way. In our contract. Oven/microwave combo was supposedly unavailable and we were forced to accept a lesser model right before closing with the the threat of not closing on time! We had no choice. They did similar with order contracted mini fridge for the entertainment center, an expensive extra ordered through them. No customer service except from one person in HOA.

They had a list of items to be fixed. Apparently customer service agent quit and list must have been lost. New agent assigned to take over. I was told to add to list with filling out a ticket. I wasted my time filling out 3 new tickets of simple things to fix (not realizing original things were never included). I’ve been here almost 2months and never heard from anyone to fix anything. But I have received a communication that I can call someone about warranty services. Included in this was websites of about everything that was not included -basically so don’t bother to call.

Eleven months after first starting construction, our new home is still not finished. Getting things done has been extremely difficult. Communication is non-existent. Phone calls, texts and emails go unanswered. An extremely frustrating experience and had we known, we would have looked elsewhere.

The Field Managers are overworked and are unable to properly prepare the homes for the customer. None of the new home buyers on my street are pleased with their purchases.

It has not been a good experience! I closed on my home March 29,2022 and I am still waiting on the outside to be painted. Other uninhabited homes have been painted so Pulte can’t continue to blame supply chain issues or lack of workers. Our home also lacks landscaping and sod. Once you close on a home you are of no account to Pulte.

Pulte Closes on Unfinished Properties

It has been 6 weeks since I closed and I am still waiting for the issues documented at closing to be fixed. I have gaps in siding, missing trim on cabinets, but the main issue is my property/yard is a hazardous mess of construction trash. I get no response regarding landscaping schedule and clean up, despite emailing sales manager, construction manager or warranty manager. I was made promises that prompted me to close on an unfinished property and now I am being ignored. The building process was the same, no communication about delays unless I was constantly emailing for follow up.

The salesperson kept us updated as to the progress of our home with bi-weekly pictures. We are pleased with the design of our home, but extremely disappointed with the workmanship of finishes such as baseboards, doors and paint. Our construction manager, Joseph, was excellent. Our sales manager was incompetent, the mortgage department was untrustworthy, and the contract allowed pulte to make changes at will without the customer’s consideration. Overall, the buying and building processes were extremely stressful .

There are many quality issues with the construction of this house and the response from the builders to make repairs is slow at best. They want us to wait until 11 months for them to correct their sloppy work.

Buyers should pay careful attention to the construction of the home and look carefully at all the details. The woodwork seems to have been cut with an old blade as the edges are ragged, the paint is very think, there is no putty/paint in many places where it should be, some of the plants and grass have already died, etc.

Supervisors couldn’t stay on top of workmanship that was not up to standard: kitchen slide-out drawers failed in the first week as some weren’t assembled properly. Repair on a tray ceiling to make the coffer plumb is still noticeably different color and texture. Floor tiles aren’t level and smooth and I’ve tripped on edges that stick up. I bought the new-build house in progress-not finished , drywalled and I was not permitted to make any changes to the items that weren’t even installed- like the tile floor. If you build with Pulte, in Kimblewick, you better have lots of money and even more patience. This was our 4 new home building experience in the Indianapolis area and it was by far the worst. Have seldom dealt with a more unresponsive company. In their case, “subs” stood for sub-standard. This builder was unable to keep to timelines. Our closing date was delayed multiple times. The contractors that were hired sometimes did shoddy work that needed to be rectified. We had three construction managers in the course of our build who were not responsive to our requests. We are now almost three months post closing and still have many things not completed including tiling and plumbing of our master shower and painting touch ups in several areas. We actually like our home a lot. We would have rated Pulte 5 stars until we moved in. Our desert home is one block from ongoing construction. The spring windy season hit right after we moved in. Pulte not only makes no effort to control loose blowing sand at the construction sites (directly upwind of our home), construction debris--sheets of styrofoam, cardboard boxes, wrappers, fast food containers--are left in the open where they blow right downwind and collect in our yard. Worst experience I've had with any company or organization. They stopped working on my house for three weeks with no valid explanation while work was being done on other houses near mine. No flexibility with scheduling. Del Webb's attitude seems to be "my way or the highway." Anyone moving into a Del Webb community should consider buying an existing house.

This was our second home in Stone Creek. Our first home was trouble free and only took 5 months to build. This second home took 10 months to build and was fraught with multiple contractor problems. We definitely would not build another home with Pulte under current conditions with subcontractors.

Quality homes. The wait to move into our home was not what we were told or expected. Communication among the Pulte Team is poor. Very frustrating. Realize everyone is trying to do their job, but I would not recommend Pulte to a friend. Built 3 houses in our lives and this is by far the worst experience.
