I observed our house being built nearly every day and here's what Pulte doesn't want the public to know. Granted they are mass producing new houses, however, there is no excuse for most if not all trades not taking the proper time to complete their tasks. As a result there are countless call backs by Pulte field managers to fix the mistakes during the construction process . Actually, these managers have very little control over the sub-contractors. Poor customer service lack of controlling sub contractors

Very disappointed with the response of Builder and quality of work moved in month and 1/2 ago and still waiting on items to be fixed that were noticed before closing and we were told would be fixed immediately. Very poor work and service for the money. No contact with anyone on sales staff after closing poor customer service.

Love the community but not the builder

Community is great but Pulte doesn’t communicate and build quality is poor. You have to want to live here bad enough to deal with a poor quality home from Pulte.

Very bad craftsmanship

Unfortunately our dream retirement home became a nightmare. Of course they are real pleasant during the shopping and initial signing phases. However once you sign it goes down hill. The craftsmanship is VERY poor and it’s nearly impossible to get items repaired or replaced. IF you desire to buy from DelWebb I recommend you use a agent (it does not cost you anything) to have someone on your side of the table before and during closing and you must get a good home inspector. Closing process was delayed three times. Problems on walk through were numerous and were not fixed/completed at closing. Now I will have to deal with the issues through the warranty process. I don't expect that experience to be any better.

Overall the house is fine, but I paid for grand. The quality of workmanship is disappointing. It’s all subcontractors who don’t care. Literally watched a painter walk across my new floors with a wet paintbrush hanging down by his side. If the simple things had been done well, I’d be happy.

Pulte Homes communications are terrible. More excuses than carter has pills!!!!!!! Took 17 months to get into the house. Cost us alot of money due to rising interest rates. Would I ever do business with them again NO NO NO!!!! Talked to other people where will live and the same response from almost every one.

Be involved in the building process.

The process of purchasing the home is quite simple. There is limited accommodation for scheduling with the design center and for the walk throughs with the Field Manager. I would recommend hiring an outside building inspector to oversee the entire process. We have 3 walls that are not square (2 of which are in a very visible location). The out of square walls could have been avoided if the Field Manager carried a level and held the subcontractors accountable for poor workmanship. You're Paying for a Del Webb Community not the house

For the price of this house, the workmanship is average at best. We had a lot of silly mistakes and you got the feeling that it was more important to get the house built fast rather than getting it right. Landscaping is just sad, and the paint is the cheapest you can imagine and sloppy.

I was totally upset with construction of this house, the workmanship, quality and attention to detail that is plastered all over Del Webb advertisement was NOT present during the construction of my house. There was constant damage from trade to trade, cabinets were installed crooked, doors did not close, tile sample from the design center did not match what was installed and had to be replaced, wrong tile was installed in both showers, counter top was cut to small (gap filled with caulk), wall oven just placed in wall unsecured, base molding installed damaged, short, with gaps, the lot was a ...

Our experience was very poor. The quality of the workmanship is very poor. Numerous items had to be done more than once and we still have a long list of items that needs to be done after closing. It has been the worst experience of our lives.

Although the sales person, Ian, was great the quality of the house was not! The sprinkler system hasn't worked since we moved in (we are in a villa, so it's the HOA's responsibility & though several emails have been sent, no plan or processes have been passed along to me & my neighbors). The backyard has construction debris buried under the sod but you can see it.. There wasn't any quality team other than myself, my wife and realtor as well as the hired home inspector, who found many problems.

The craftsmanship of the work on our home was poor. No attention to detail at all. There were slow to respond to various concerns that we had during the building process, we felt a bit rushed to sign the “satisfactory agreement “ so we could close. The sales person did not disclose options there were available for our new home and we did not find out about several options until other homes in our neighborhood had them. We just expected more from Del Webb.

Definitely not higher standard

I was encouraged to close even though everything in house was not really ready. There was a promise me that within 3 days everything would be finished completely. 3 months later I can't even get date for when they plan on fixing my house. The finishings in the house are well below standard. I think pulte has a lot of nerve advertising that they who have the higher standard. Would love to hear from the CEO of this company and let him know what I think. If anyone other than a computer reads this reply I would love to hear from a human being.

Builder refused to listen to the customer and has the attitude 'We Wont, We Dont and We Cant' - very frustrating. The interior finishing is terrible - paint, wood work, and tile are very poorly done - and we have several dozens of items that need to be addressed, and we have not heard back in a timely manner. As a customer buying a new home is a major purchase - we expect the home to look brand new so that we can take pride in the home and show it to others - as it currently stands, I am embarrassed to show it to anyone. I thought PULTE was supposed to be a high quality builder.

Poor experience and overall craftsmanship

Extremely disappointed in the poor craftsmanship of the home, the field manager and his supervisors did a poor job in monitoring overall quality during the construction phase. The majority of the trades employed by Del Webb lacked professional pride in their workmanship. We had to point out a good number of times poor workmanship and in some cases informing the field manager that items were installed incorrectly and needed to be redone. Due to poor project management and lack of quality checks, our home was delayed unnecessarily by at least 45 days!

We had to have a shower door replaced. Water still leaks through door onto bathroom floor. Garage floor muddy foot prints and globs of cement. Kitchen cabinets doors not aligned. Kitchen cabinet doors scraped all along bottom. Piece for dishwasher sitting on counter waiting to be installed. Raul responds and takes care of what he can.

One year of disappointment

Our building experience with Pulte was one delay after another. There were so many mistakes made along the way. Luckily we were here to have them corrected. The workmanship in so many areas embarrassing. They are coming back to fix some of the issues, but some we know will never be taken care of. The ONE SHINING LIGHT in our buying and building process is our sales person JEN. She is an amazing sales person and overall wonderful lady. Thank you Jen.

Actually, I have had very little experience with anyone from Pulte, even after my poor review that I gave them. I was told I would get a response from a Pulte rep on anything less than a 7 and after 6 weeks I still have heard from no one.

My experience with this home buying started with the salesman. He was great, although I do think there was miscommunication on a couple of things.....there are too many homes that Pulte is throwing together and doing so in a huge hurry, which is causing for less than adequate work being done and overseen by the PM's and their subs. Poor quality of work, and no one seems to really care. No communication with my PM, just wants to get the homebuyer to closing. I do realize that the PM's are not always at fault because of the poor subs and the fact that corporate is throwing way too many houses ...
