We were told false statements that we relied on. We will have to pay an additional $11,000 to get cabinets we were informed by pulte we would receive. We should never have closed. They did not honor their commitments.

Overpriced and poor workmanship

The dishwasher almost fell out onto the floor, The oven set the fire alarms off and the microwave was never plugged in and was covered with a dented cover. The blower over the oven was dented and the back splash was uneven and once the blower was replaced that exposed missing grout. Pulte when complained said you only have 1 opportunity to get all the poor workman ship fixed and if you don't find it after being rushed for closing your stuck with it. There was no locks on the bathroom door , it was on the laundry room door and all you need is a finger nail to open it , no security at all. ...

Say no to builder incentives

I had a great construction manager. No issues there. Pulte Mortgage is horrible. I wish I would have not let the builder incentives persuade me. I would have still bought, but used another lender. The stress that they put my family through was not worth the money for builder incentives. We shall see how well they respond to issues because I have some open work orders. I don’t think that their homes are worth the market costs. The amenities at Del Web are great. Pleased with my community

Pulte Homes really did hype up their brand name, but after actually moving into a newly built, I must honestly rate them below average. They subcontract everything, which I and neighbors have had to constantly call Pulte back to have them redo shotty work on too many things. The subcontractors seems to have the upper hand here as too many times the requests Pulte has asked them to do is ignored (so why isn't Pulte getting rid of them). Woodwork paint is substandard as it comes off easily and unable to wash it. grouting material in shower area gets holes in it just to run water, interior door ...

I have bought and built many homes in my life and I have to say this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I hate having to say that because I wanted it to be a great experience but it just wasn’t. The Pulte mortgage company experience was horrible. I will not use Pulte in the future.

The house build and construction process were fine. Some minor things, which are to be expected, and we continue to work through those with our construction manager, who has been responsive. The house is nice, but pricey for the size and features. But we made the choice, so we’re ok with this, Our closing experience was a catastrophe. Originally told in March our closing would be 1 August. We agreed, given thenplanning necessary at our exit home, and other personal issues. Our interaction with the mortgage company and Ms. Wessen in particular was so terrible it caused us to become so stressed out. and the Project Manager was like 22 years old and knew nothing about construction and ruined our floors.

The end result is a nice looking home. But the process getting there was more than challenging. Due to the overwhelming amount of homes the superintendent’s have to oversee at one time as well as pressure to close on the homes doesn’t allow them to have any quality control over the process over ones’s individual home. This results in trade contractors redoing what’s already been completed to make repairs, molding replacement, drywall repair and repeated painting over newly installed carpet. I did not have a good experience with Pulte. Non of the vendors that I had to work with followed through with what they said they would do in the timeframe they communicated to me. Emails were not sent when they said they sent them. Too much BS. Vicky and Tim worked their butts off trying to get things right. They were penalized by incompetent others who did not do their jobs. Bonuses are dependent on high evaluations so neighbors I have talked to gave higher evaluations then they wanted to in order to get bonuses to people. Don’t be fooled by high marks.

The quality of workmanship on the build of our home has been incredibly disappointing - warped walls and baseboards, corners that are clearly not square. The response to our concerns has been poor as well as the follow up to repairs. We were pushed to close when our house was clearly not ready and the entire experience has been upsetting and stressful.

Lies. Does not finish jobs on time. Often no show. Often does not respond to us leaving us up in the air. We were given multiple deadlines and ultimately paid a full month mortgage for an house that we could not move into. Pressured to close by Field Manager's boss. Promises made to us and not kept. Starting in the sales office, the feeling is that you as a potential buyer are unimportant. If you don't buy, the next guy will. Information on options is minimal and not always well explained. Work / repair promised to be completed before closing often does not happen. Once a buyer is so close to moving in, generally having sold or in contract to sell a current home, Pulte knows one doesn't have many options and are more willing to move in without having all work complete. The sales person was great, but the people handling the mortgage and title were careless in their work with us (especially when it came time for the wire transfer) and that created a very stressful situation for us as buyers. We were one of the initial "so called VIP buyers". There are very few positive things to say about the entire process. Sales initially offered inferior lots with homes they had no experience building. The slab was poured in the rain. The unprotected (no felt covering) OSB on the roof was drenched from constant rain. This resulted in the edges swelling and parts of it had to be replaced just before closing. Too many things were done wrong and the workers had to come back numerous times to fix major items.
