paint comes off walls, 24 inch centers on some walls can not hang cabinets, if something is wrong no one fixes it during construction, it seems like the house has to go up as fast as it can and don't care about quality of home, don't prime walls before top coat, worst home I ever had

Lack of pride in workmanship

There is a general lack of pride in the workmanship of these homes. They have used the cheapest materials in some cases, especially with the AC. In my opinion the AC system has been poorly installed and is sized incorrectly.

Our field manager Chris was wonderful. We had & still have issues that need to be addressed. He was there for us & tried his best to get things accomplished. The house was not in presentable shape at the closing . Moving into a new house should be exciting not this disappointing.

This group was the most disorganized group from Sales through Construction. Const Managers overworked and unable to stay on top of quality fit and finish Many Many mistakes made in the construction process that required repair or replacement which if I had not caught them they would have been covered up by drywall at buyers loss. Corporate mandates the use of low priced paper based trim and takes short cuts on Lock sets and wiring options so they can improve margin at the buyers expense. I bought a $350 home for $560 K . There is no quality control that I could see. My review came up with over twenty items that needed to be fixed. After turnover I am still finding poor workmanship. If you do not have any building experience, I would suggest finding someone who will be able to spot these items before you agree to close on the house

Quality, workmanship and materials are poor. Issues are many and are not quickly resolved. When issues are worked quality of workmanship is also poor.

The builder Pulte did a horrible job building this brand new home. I have a list of repairs and a basement leaking water. I hope to work with them on repairs but if. not, I definitely would never recommend this builder!

Value is not here. Very poor quality material and poor workmanship is the norm and no one seems to care. They watch sales and pricing more than the contractors workmanship.

There is little to inadequate supervision of the contractors during the build and if you are not here watching them or don't know construction you are at a huge disadvantage. Contractors are not held to any reasonable standard because they are inadequately supervised and poor or substandard workmanship is the standard they are held to. And for this we are charged excessive prices. I call the construction practices here the "Clown Act". Just hurry up and get it done. We'll fix it later IF someone catches the mistakes.... We were excited about our new home and the lifestyle that a Del Webb community has to offer. But the house has been extremely disappointing. I’ve never seen such shoddy workmanship in the many years I was a Realtor showing all kinds of homes. Just today, one of our neighbors pointed out that our two month old house is about to lose the trim above the garage door. It is barely hanging on! The wood used for trim inside the house looks like rejects from a more quality oriented house builder. It is full of nicks and notches that were just painted over. They are all about the $. Once they have your money, you become irrelevant. Someone to be ignored. The customer service is non existent. Quality of workmanship is that of a 4 year old. The only good thing is the clubhouse and the residents. If you buy a started home you can not change ANYTHING.

$400,000 dollar fixer-upper

The field manager was inexperienced, his supervisor is incompetent and no one listened to us when we were telling them through the building process that things weren't going correctly. After closing we have been attempting to get the mistakes corrected and have only found one person interested in doing the right thing. If I had to build again with Pulte Homes I wouldn't do it and I wouldn't recommend anyone build with the group at Hill Country Retreat.

Don’t expect quality in a Del Webb Home

The quality of materials and workmanship are surprisingly poor given the price we paid ( $460,000) for our Del Webb house. They market brand names such as Kitchen Aid and Sherwin Williams paint, but the actual product from these vendors are their low grade lines. The paint is so poor and thinly applied it will rub off if you try to clean a mark off the wall. They use plastic fasciae and roof trim that rattles in the slightest wind. Do not expect to receive what you order. Pulte changes colors in major areas, in my case, the color of my roof. While most of the trades I have dealt with were eager to please and respectful, their tiling company is the worst in their industry. In my kitchen, they used 2 different dye lots. The tiles in the guest bathroom wall were not lined up and jutted out in some corners. They sent a man who was verbally abusive, aggressive and a bully. I had to tell him to leave and mot come back.

You must hire your own Home Inspector because there are serious mistakes being made by builder in this subdivision that is serious. Pultegroup needs to make some big changes in construction quality as it is poor
