Pulte mortgage was the worst

We have had many unexpected events including gas meter leak, weeks without mail, electricity failure, and issues with appliances. The support people are wonderful and buying the home was a breeze, but we didn’t expect to have issues with a brand new home. Hopefully, the road ahead is all roses!

This is my first experience with building a home in a planned community. My assigned construction manager was as responsive as he was allowed to be. I am pleased with my house but very disappointed in Pulte's attention to customer service issues.

Was a pleasant experience and high quality built home

The home is beautiful and the community is certainly going to be gorgeous when it is completed. A few minor issues with the builder. Lighting and ceiling fans are not included and cannot be ordered. After closing one has to purchase and contract to install them. It seems to me that the builder should offer this at an extra charge (every other addition is extra). Without ceiling lighting (chandeliers, pendents, fans, etc) it seems that the house is incomplete even after closing. In addition, there is no kitchen stove exhaust. Construction manager was pushy to close, then no follow up on items found during walk through inspection. He made promise that items would be corrected, now he won’t return calls, text messages or emails. It’s been over a month since closing and still not moved in because of issues. We were pleased with house and buying process till after we closed.

David was great! Pointed out details, gave good advice. House was done on time.

The CM Kyle and his manager Patrick were very responsive and responsible to get issues corrected prior to closing.

moved in in Oct{4) and now Moved in Oct 4 and would do it again! Feel happy and safe!

Like the final home as a hole. We would have like a little more communication with the varies subcontractors. We felt the inside of house during construction could have been kept cleaner. Overall we are very happy with the final home .The formen Josh did answer questions when they came up.

Open process throughout the build. Multiple quality inspections. good quality build. Good warranty coverage.

There are some things the developer does that are exceptional and others that make me shake my head and wonder if the designer was sleeping or on drugs. For example, the kitchen pantry door cannot open when the dishwasher is open. How do I put stuff away? Pocket doors are not an option; they are included where they are available. Why they did not include them in the master closet is a mystery. 3' of space is lost because of the swing door. There would have been no problem moving the electric on that wall... It is just something else that is not planned well. Oh, the pendant light junction boxes for the kitchen island, literally go to within inches of the end of the island. Lighting should be approximately 65% of the width of the table/counter top. Was the designer on drugs? If you order LVP from them, they use quarter round. This is tacky. This should be done properly with the baseboards installed after the flooring, so it would rest on the floor. There are other things that make no sense, like the placement of some light switches (to turn the living room light on, you have to go through the dark room to the end of the house. When signing the contract to purchase a home nobody disclosed that the community clubhouse would not be completed for over a year or that the temporary clubhouse would have no pool. Nor did they disclose where the construction office would be, which happens to be on the same street as the lot we picked. We had 2 Project Managers. Don't know why but can only imagine. The Second Project Manager who came on just before our walk-through is polite and professional but does not have control over when workers show up or complete projects. The quality of materials and workmanship is less than stellar. I have a bathroom door that can't be used, kitchen cabinets that are damaged and or have been installed incorrectly, and appliances that are all dented or rusted. After 30 days Items that were supposed to be corrected are yet to be completed. Upgrades are extremely inflated for the quality of materials and workmanship. ... More

Our sales agent Lisa regularly went above and beyond for us, making sure we understood everything, giving us great advice, and showing real compassion throughout the entire process. And we were so fortunate to have Nate as our construction manager. He is responsive, conscientious, and cares a great deal about doing things the right way.

Lots of problems with no resolution in the near future. Also spoke with other owners with the same issues.

We loved Ben as our construction manager! He was awesome and very tentative to things we've needed, questions asked and very good about educating us on a new Florida home. There were a lot of things unfinished and we've had issues getting the trades to show up and fix things. We still dont have our cabnets done and we closed almost 2 months ago. Warranty has tried to be on top of it however theres only so much he can do if people dont show up. I fell like pulte is a good company to purchase from however their trades are terrible at assisting them and you as a home owner. We have been promoting the community to others. ... More

Our experience with the purchase of the Pulte home was fantastic from the beginning to the very end. Rick and Scott H were exceptional in making sure all the little things were taken care of to our satisfaction.

Painting were not properly If you really want to know then may be you should send some body to see and get detail opinion from people who live in the house.

Project built during COVID so construction was delayed. Communication was very good and the team was very proactive with the owners interests in mind. A good project during a difficult time.

Del Webb and Pulte Builders made building a new home so easy. We lived in another State and we received updates and photos weekly. I would (and do) refer others to consider looking into it.

Entire team was awesome to work with.

Overall great experience from start to finish

Oversell, we are very satisfied w our Pulte home. We moved from a much larger custom built home and while our new home is not a custom home, the finishes are very good. The building process went well. We had the advantage of being on the build site a lot since we were local. I would definitely encourage future buyers to do the same if possible. Communications during the build process could be more proactive. We would have also liked more flexibility & choices with finish selections, providing more value for the price.
