Good quality but everything is an additional option. They seem to have decided on what is best for them and just act on that. Plus options not well explained. Difficult to understand what the cost of options are. Not a good final inspection either as they missed standard promises - like outlet in the entertainment center not there & doorbell didn’t work. Minor comfort issues like minimal natural ventilation & needed door handles on large slider doors , plus no easy clean out for dryer vents a bad design. Tight quarters design, eg, garage doors could be just a foot wider for 2 cars & distance between homes just another foot would be better. Again, their philosophy is good enough, but not exceptional. Needs improvement on after closing issues like dryers

Tim, our construction and quality build, reviewer, was very nice and response to all issues, we liked all his help and comments, pre-closing. He was also very helpful post closing. this was very important to us.

I’ve had many homes, all NEW builds. This by far is the best. Great community, incredible lot, excellent floor plan and wonderful neighbors. Can’t ask for anything else. Very happy with our choice.

There was a problem with oven that required 3 calls and 2 visits to resolve. The FM had been aware of problem BEFORE Celebration, but did not address it.

We are pleased to have recently moved into our new DiVosta home. Thanks for all the hard work and effort. We are pleased with the outcome and are looking forward to many years of enjoyment!

Overall the house is what we expected, just minor repairs needed to be done. Great communication with Divosta team (sales, repairs). Happy with my new house

IslandWalk is a great place to live The home designs are varied. The inside design is poor as cabinets are very small, closets are small, causes limited storage that you have to spend additional money on once you move in. No pocket doors make for poor design as one door opens to block a door behind it? Very odd and poorly designed. In a positive note construction was right on time! The supervisor in charge of my home building was Carson, I must say he was easy to work with, very responsive to phone calls from me and really explained everything before, during and even after I moved in I would call him, he always responded quickly and always concerned, he deserves a raise!! ... Ask more questions at design center about quality of upgrades to be purchased.

Most subcontractors are on piecework contracts. We have found a few of these companies to be poorly managed and their workers lack training. Painter has many items to correct and was a no show for first appointment. Kitchen cabinet had to make two tries to correct a pull out shelf that kept coming off the track.

Things to stay on top include communicating with the person that schedules the closing. In our case, we scheduled the sale of our old home based upon the feedback from the project manager. Our new home was ready two weeks before we were and we had to negotiate an earlier closing date than expected. Since we were paying cash for our new home, we had to close on our old home first.

Be careful with upgrades, especially built-in kitchens. You're upgrading for appearance and think you're getting top quality but you're really not given a choice of appliances. Kitchenaid now has a recall on their cooktops and only one option exists that will fit. For us it's not an acceptable option and although money is offered to compensate there isn't anything that fits short of reconstructing the countertop and space below. Not enough time or money to cover that. We love IslandWalk and overall love our new home but the standard appliance packages may be the way to go. Lots of little things that need to be fixed

We would recommend more attention to fine details with respect to the finishing craftsmanship of the home. Items like grout finishes are sloppy and electrical boxes are out in crooked. Small details make all the difference to the consumer.

Only part of this process that I felt was unfair, was that every little thing is extra and feel very stressed out after leaving design center, although Jen was amazing to work with. But Divosta really should include more as standard instead of upcharging for every item.

The pre-construction experience was very good. Post-construction not as good...they were not very responsive to sod and irrigation issues and I'm still having issues and its been almost 2 months in.

Not a cheap house but yet the bathroom fixtures (towel racks, paper holders) are plastic. Having issues getting the guest bathroom shower fixed from flooding the floor. Warranty is responding but should have checked and repaired prior to close.

Overall experience was pretty good. We purchased a pre-construction home, but they still allowed us to make a couple of minor changes. The only disappointment is that we missed a couple of things during the walk-through and were later told that those items were not under warranty. If you buy from them, make sure you review every nook and cranny of your home during the walk-through.

DiVosta builds good homes. The quality and workmanship is better than all the others I have seen or purchased. The construction manager Bill was very knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. The sales manager Paul Myers was good to work with and responsive. Had a few problems such as: keys lost and not available after closing; the Pulte Title Co used the wrong HOA dues amount at closing (had to pay more after closing); edge of garage floor was chipped up and took two months to get repaired. Overall, we’re happy with the buying experience and the home despite the issues mentioned above.

Overall we were satisfied with the quality. Main disappointment is that floor and backsplash tiles and especially white grout throughout the house was not sealed by the builder. Having found out at walk through right before closing, I sealed what I could right before furnishings were moved in that day. After 1 month, already some stains that I am unable to remove with the builder's suggested cleaning materials and methods.

Our sales representative was excellent from contract initiation through closing. Initial warranty issues were very slow to be resolved. Our lawn was dying due to irrigation not working. After opening four tickets with Sunny Grove landscaping and subsequent meetings and communication with our management company’s general manager over a five week period we may be seeing some improvement. However, there has been NO response or follow up from SG or our community manager.

Quality needs improvement and much more oversight of trades

Shawn, our project manager, did a great job in overseeing the construction..he was short some "subs" due to hurricane earlier, but was able to maintain the date he originally stated..DiVosta should feel fortunate to have Shawn in their employ as he is very professional..
