Home building is stressful. Drees took as much stress as possible away. Building supervisor answered all our questions. Sales never made us feel bad about our questions, was there when we needed him and gave reassurance we made the right decisions.

We are so disappointed with the quality of our Drees “custom home.” The interior finishes are awful and we will be spending time and money trying to fix them. Trim throughout was so sloppily installed, it looks like a bad DIY…nearly every floor trim joint is a lumpy, caulked mess. The “professional” painters left paint splatters on the floor along the molding as well as many missed areas of paint, paint splatters on granite, paint on switch plates and outlet covers, paint on ceilings, and interior doors as well as paint embedded in the joints of several floor planks. What you would come to expect in "builder basic." Basic materials and construction. However, the after sale support is top class. Especially in contrast to other big builders in our area.

Document every conversation and stay on top of everything throughout the process. Inspect the home in DETAIL before you close. We did not feel as if our concerns were heard during the build and many are still being completely disregarded now that we have closed. Best of luck!

Everyone from our sales agent to the construction supervisor was awesome! They helped us through every step, explained everything we needed to know, and when we pointed out any issues, they responded quickly and got them fixed. They really are focused on making sure you're happy with your new home!

Drees builds beautiful homes. Some things are options that should be standard (i.e. overhead lights in all bedrooms). Lots are too small, can't fit a full size truck in the garage. Some items are still not fixed months after moving in.

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home! Drees did a remarkable job! They're workmanship was perfect! I got so many beautiful upgrades for the price. I couldn't have bought a decent existing home for what I paid for this condo! When I first walked in, it was love at first sight. I couldn't believe that I had such a gorgeous home!

The process can alternatively be described as either a straightjacket or as well organized. There were supply disruptions...which is understandable. But, instead of pausing and waiting, the schedule was maintained, with the result that necessary preconditions for installation of later phases were shortchanged or not met at all. This resulted in mistakes that were difficult to rectify or required compromises.

I chose Drees to build our home because of the modern floorplan and upscale design. You have to watch what they do closely. There were numerous mistakes that were made on the building of our home. They don’t address the issues right away either. Try wait until everything is done and then have a “fixing crew” come back to fix the issues. Bit not everything can be addressed that way and so some of our finishes did not turn out the way we would have liked. We have lived in our home for 3 months now and they still have not fixed items that we told them to fix before we closed.
