We love our Drees home. This is our first experience building a house as we as have bought used in the past. We wanted a certain style and top quality construction and they delivered. Their attention to detail and energy efficiency is amazing. Every step of the process the teams were amazing.

When my wife and I were deciding to buy, we never imagined we would end up buying a new build, until we walked into our first Drees home. The details, quality of work, and overall communication with our building supervisor, Jake Olvey, was incredible. We are so glad we got to buy from Drees and look forward to having our forever home!

Easy and simple experience when looking into and purchasing a Drees home

Our new home experience with Drees was great from start to finish. We received outstanding guidance from Drees on all aspects of the process, including lot selection, and the design process where we selected all our finishes for the inside and outside of our home. We were living across country when we did this, which added a challenge to the process, but Drees was very flexible and worked with us. Our home is beautiful, and well built, and the follow up since we have moved in has been excellent.

All in all, the building process was great. I enjoyed the opportunity to work with the builder and review building process unhindered which was great. The quality of the materials used was good and reputable Brands. The one thing I was disappointed in was the Quality of Craftmanship during the building process. A lot of mistakes and do overs that could have been avoided if there was a full-time superintendent during building process to review drawings and related structure to be sure work crew understood (in Spanish) the trade activities for the day. This would have prevented poor workmanship and mistakes in structure. Then as home progress into the finishing stages the placement of protective care over permeant fixtures, moldings, flooring, doors, cabinets, hardware to prevent damage and replacement of these items upon completion of home prior to final walk-through inspection. There were several times during the building process had I not been able to come on a day to day bases certain items would have been completed and then either modified (if possible) or tore up to be corrected; due to lack of communication and understanding of appropriate tasked trade. There were some trades that were very good at their skill; but these were few. Would I build again with Drees----YES; they provide a quality appealing home astatically outside as well as inside. Drees exterior options and interior options provide the breadth and depth and flexibility of injecting custom items and changes outside and inside that personalize the home to us. thanks ... More

Builder manager always answered my questions & address my concerns in a timely matter. He always keep me updated with the building processes. I truly believe the quality of everyone working on my home was right at point. Love my home!!!

We’ve worked with Lisa, buying our previous Drees Home & she’s phenomenal! Our building contractor that we started with, Andy, was great too! We’ve had some new construction issues with this house & that hasn’t been pleasant.

It was a great experience from start to finish. Everyone was very helpful in providing information and getting on calls to resolve any concerns. We customized quite a bit and the builder was very open to making those changes. By the time we moved in, we got everything we wanted and more. The quality of the materials was great and have no major issues. This was definitely a great buy and Thank you to the entire team for making this experience the best one.

Several plumbing errors as the plans were not followed and had to be revisited.

We recently moved into a newly build Drees Home. The materials used in the house are very cheap. If a car drives by, the entire house shakes. It's very clear that they used the most inexpensive materials to save money on the build. The neighborhood is a loud construction site even though our street is completely finished and they assured us there would be no noise in our area. I've contacted them several times for a number of issues and have not heard back. They assure you when you move in that they will be there for you but it's been quite the opposite. I've not heard from anyone since we moved in when there were supposed to be multiple scheduled touch points. They also don't answer their phones when you call. Just another company that promotes family and values but is all talk and only cares about making money. ... More

Everything went well - only question quality of some materials used

I have so much love for our new home but there are things. That the builder did or missed that now that I’m living in the home just make me feel the value for every dollar spent is not equal. The paint quality absolutely stinks I’ve only been in the home 2 months and it’s terrible everywhere. If you have kids it’s going to suck. So I’m aware that after drywall touch up I’m stuck paying to repaint with better paint. The electrical work is absolutely terrible I’m finishing a room downstairs myself as I have the skill set and I work in electrical utility. They literally rammed all the electrical circuits through a single knock out in the panel and no organizing of the wires at all. When my home failed the framing inspection the electricians pulled the wires back out of the Joist and upon returning the wires they just tacked them up to the underside of the joist. Just terrible workmanship. This is just a few of the things that I don’t feel I got the value for the money I spent. We enjoyed an excellent building experience with Drees build on tour own lot program. Drees worked with us to modify plans to both fit the lot and meet the stringent building codes of our community. Once the plans were completed, we worked with their design center to select from the endless choices for exterior and interior finishes and colors. Their staff had many insightful recommendations. The site manager during the building process was great to work with and accommodated several minor changes along the way. The end result is a great home that meets our needs. Looks great, superior workmanship, and most importantly to us, great people to work with. We look forward to completing the landscaping and getting fully settled in. ... More

Truly a good experience from start to finish. We love our new home.

I have nothing good to say except that we are glad we made a profit off of this bad decision.

The home is beautiful and more than we expected. The model we chose has a lot of thoughtful design features that are important into today's homes, i.e., ample storage space, functional kitchen design, large windows throughout, and attention to detail. We couldn't be more pleased.

Had a good journey through out the build process

overall great experience. the team kept us very informed the entire way! good quality builder. only a few suggestions. water quality in wells should be livable which ours was not. we immediately had to invest in a filtration system.

The Project Manager was great to work with. Kept us informed regularly about the progress on our home and what to expect along the way. He was easy to communicate with and promptly addressed any concerns along the way.

Subpar qualities and craftsmanship poor. Paint speckles on expensive stainless steel appliance and paint spots on dark hardwood. First month of move in, master shower water leaking into closet. After one patch up job, there was still a leak. Fixing pending. Brick walls had to be teared down and redo. Poor paint job. Lack in quality control.

I really enjoyed watching my home come to life. The building process was interesting. My only complaint is that the exterior carpenters did a terrible job initially. Once I communicated that it was unacceptable Dress corrected the errors. I appreciated that they responded to my concerns, and I understand that crew is no longer doing work for them. In the end I was thrilled with my new home!
