Quality is subpar to say the least. Aesthetically the house is beautiful until you get into the details. Oversight on issues is non-existent and there’s no follow through. I would never recommend a Drees home.

Hi, I would just like to say that Carter was amazing. He really despa Medal of Honor (or a good bottle of wine) for his endless patience with me. I had 2 other failed attempts at buying another home but he continued to work with me each time I came back trying again. Thankfully I was able to get into a condo and I am extremely happy.

Don’t give time expectations that are unrealistic considering materials delay. Options, like roof colors and house are poor!!! Black roofs should be banned in souther states like Florida. They Waste Energy!! Options like solar operated roof fans should be an option. Why do I have to now hire a roofing contractor to install these vents by putting holes in roof you just completed?? You lack any knowledge of solar orientation to helge conserve energy- for windows, heat pump, etc. Builder does not communicate with finance and finance did not communicate with title closing staff. Two people had the title “ coordinator “ in their names yet NEVER communicated with me directly, like when to set up day for closing!!!! ... More

Don't assume the Sales Agent has covered all of your options. Investigate other homes of your model selection. This is also true with the closing agent. their job is to move through the closing quickly because their revenue is depended on how many closings they complete. The one lesson I learned (again) Buyer Beware!

Love the condo and community

Love the floor plan but very disappointed in the quality of workmanship and lack of follow through from builder.

Overall Drees provided a good product in the end. Unfortunately, you’ll have to watch everything they do and constantly fight with Drees to get what was promised.

We liked the experience all the way from booking the home to completion. We are impressed by the constant communication about the home construction progress and delivery related issues or concerns. The quality of the construction is good and surely can be better on finishing touches.

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful.

I believe the builder tries to meet the needs of the homeowners, but they just have a hard time getting individual subcontractors and workers to come at scheduled times to complete the needed work on the home. We have been in the home about two and a half months and still have lots of items that need repairing or completion, but we are still waiting on individuals to show up. The quality would be better if the subcontractors work was supervised more closely by the project managers.

Definitely get a private inspection done!. The sub contractor(Atlantic Building) that fixed my doors don't care about the work they did. Front door has been having locking issues. Drees put in an order for them to fix and i have had to technicians here but still need a replacement jamb. The first Atlantic worker had the attitude like I was bothering them with my report for the front door to be fixed. All the screws on the interior door locks installed were not tightened. A month and half after move in, the owner's bedroom door lock fell off. The door lock on the second bedroom got very lose almost coming off. I had to go around and tighten the screws on all the interior doors as they were all lose and shaking. HVAC unit cover over the filter insert won't close so I'm holding it in place with a tape. Horrible! Some of the tape on the HVAC system in the mechanical room has come off and I'm just wondering what is next. Basement bath needs re-caulking and Joe the builder has put in a work order to get it done but 2 months after move in, contractor hasn't done anything about it. I'm waiting on the 3 months work with Drees to bring up other issues I have to give them a fair chance to redeem themselves. It's a beautiful home from Drees but the sub contracting companies have let them down in my opinion. Overall, the sub contracting companies work is a reflection of Drees work and leaves me with a below average rating for Drees at this time. Our experience with Drees Homes was great! Zen was our builder and he did a fantastic job as our project manager. There were things that were not addressed in our final walk-through, finishes that were not exactly to our liking, but overall our experience with this group was positive. This was our first time buying a house, so this gave us insight into what we will need to do for next time!

I would recommend Drees to anyone looking to build a new home. Their customer service is outstanding, and they built a quality home that we just love! Every step in the process was communicated and made the process very easy and enjoyable. Drees was very flexible and willing to think "out of the box" when we had special requests that weren't on their list of options. We are thrilled with our new home and would highly recommend Drees!

Very quick to respond and fix issues

The entire Drees Homes team was absolutely wonderful to work with during the construction of our new home using the Build on your Lot program. A special thank you to the realtor, Design Center staff, and builder - all were extremely professional and responsive to all our questions during the process.

For better or worse another's experience may vary ...my wife and I started our Drees process in September 2021. We took possession of our home Oct 31 2022. The biggest delay was 4 months for windows. Drees would like us to believe it was a supply chain issue however every other house around us started building after we did and got their windows seemingly on time but certainly no one else waited 4 months. We personally believe someone messed up and didn't order them on time or at all until much later. There were a number of administrative errors from the start down to the time closing. The vendors Drees uses tend to be sloppy with their work in our opinion. Painting looks like it was done by a novice. We've had plumbing issues. Windows aren't properly installed. Some things are addressed quickly, some aren't. Some things are minimized by Drees reps even though you know there is an issue. We can walk through our home and find something not right in each room. They tend to lean on "everything isn't going to be 100% perfect" which is true and not the expectation. The expectation is that everything be done correctly which there's plenty that wasn't. But it could be worse, we've had neighbors on our street that had to have bathroom floors ripped up due to bad plumbing jobs. That's our silver lining. This is the neighborhood we wanted to be in so it's hard to say if we would build with Dress again. Hypothetically if they're the only option it would take serious consideration next time. ... More

Aaron is incredible l love the Christopher home only issue is the sound proofing. Brooke was helpful, available and informative.

Overall it was extremely pleasant until the end with a variety of issues that needed to be completed prior to close, a few needed to be done two or three times to bring it to a satisfactory level. Our contractor was responsive but the business and customer support definitely was less than ideal. And the preferred lender to which Drees has equity shares/operates separately from construction was very unreliable, resulting in confusion and extreme frustration as “good to close” was definitely fluid and difficult at best. Overall it is a beautiful home and no new construction is perfect and as long as they stick to their word of addressing issues I would say they are overall a great choice in the large scale/custom home market. ...
