The entire process from visiting models through option and feature selection, all the way to final walk through and move in has been well planned and executed. The entire Drees team has been very responsive and supportive.

From our sales experience through the build process, communication was excellent. When we had our walk through, the final build - especially fit and finish- our home exceeded our expectations!

Eric has been a pleasure to work with, he is always responsive and goes above expectation to ensure our issues are resolved.

Was told it would be 7-9 months. Took almost 15. Went through 3 builders and none of them ever said the same story as the last one. They liked to blame supply chain and the job market, but they spent a lot of time on rework. Dug the basement and foundation, saw that it had field tiles draining into it, and ignored it for a month while the sides collapsed. Had to excavate more and do a lot of extra backfill because of that. Most of the time we were waiting on something it was because they messed up. Wrong sized windows, wrong size doors, didn’t order enough siding, etc. Ripped out all the doors after the interior was finished and had to repaint again. Paint the wall, touch up the wall, then cut the wall open because they forgot the power outlet we added and reminded them twice before they installed drywall. That sort of thing. Somehow a year after we picked appliances and gave our deposit they didn’t have our appliances. One person said they were in storage, but another said they were back ordered. Everyone from our amazing sales rep Carrie to our builder Jack to our warranty manager Tom have been on top of things & very responsive as well has a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!!! Gorgeous homes and you work with the A team!

Drees offers a high quality home. The overall experience to build was not the horrible, but for the price of the home…there is definitely room for improvement. We love the completed work, although 2 months into the home (after closing) we are still waiting on a few minor things to be resolved.

Drees has been very responsive to every minor issue that has popped up. That's greatly appreciated.

I was lied to from the Mortgage Co to the Construction.

Worst experience we have ever had, and we have built 8 homes. Corolyn was great and so is Matt.

Had a great experience during the home building process. We love our home and can’t wait to make new memories.

Our home was clean and move in ready when we actually moved in. All items that were on our walk through were completed before we moved in. Others that we saw afterwards were completed as well in a timely manner. Our builder was available before we closed and afterwards, we have a number to call for customer service that was very responsive as well.

Wish they would have paid a little more attention to detail . Especially for the coast . But overall I’m happy .

my biggest disappointment is the trashy lot i have to look at every day. I think it is the Drees dumping zone.

We had a Build-on-Your-Own-Lot project done with Drees Homes in Raleigh NC. We'd rate Chuck F. (the marketing manager) and Jonathan N. (the builder) with 5 stars because of the huge efforts they made to address all issues before the closing, and also Rachel P. in the designer center who was very accommodating and we could feel she was genuinely willing to help us make best choices for our needs and did not push for the most expensive options. But for Drees Homes as a company, we could not give 5 starts because some upper management person was not reasonable and tried to bully us to close the sale before all problems were fixed, and some contractors did a poor job. However, considering the complex nature of the building business, we understand sometimes things could go wrong. As long as they are willing to fix all problems, we are willing to recommend Drees Homes to others, even though there is still room for them to improve. We'll see how the warranty repairs go and update later if possible. ... More

Issues were not addressed properly.

The Drees team provides great customer service and are organized. I was nervous about a new build but they provided quality work and were quick to answer any questions.

If you get a good project supervisor/manager everything should go smooth. We did!

With it currently being a sellers market it was clear that the Drees staff didn’t care about quality or timeliness, just closing the house and moving on to the next one.

Drees home are beautiful and spacious! This is my second one and I would build with them again!

Would not recommend. Low quality, just the same as most other builders.

I have been in this house for two months now and still have unresolved issues. Not sure why it takes so long to get things corrected. I am not interested in excuses as that is what they are - just excuses. I have an unresolved kitchen cabinet issue that should have been taken care of before closing. We are supposed to have a tree planted on the property and that is still not done. I was not aware that I would have to take care of the paint touch up issues myself. I have a crack in the dining room ceiling that I was told would be taken care of in a year, so I have to live with this for a year. The grading of the property is terrible. Your masons and trim carpenters did a very good job but your painters and landscapers are terrible. I still have a plumbing issue that has yet to be resolved. There are issues with the driveway and heating vents that will not be fixed as Heath blew them off and said nothing could be done with them. I thought Drees was a custom builder and that is why I went with Drees as opposed to Fisher. ... More

The people you work with at the beginning and middle of the process are great. They keep you informed and help tremendously. The hardest part (but I'm sure this is true with all builders) is once you sign the papers and close, anything you think isn't good enough doesn't matter. I only say this because I'm working with the warranty team now. And they will only fix something that's broken or not working, but shotty workmanship is your problem now. But that makes sense, it's their job to make sure they don't spend all of Drees' money and they aren't obligated to fix shotty work once you close. I would say once you close, try to have the mindset that you bought a market home and not a brand new home and that it should all be perfect. ... More
