I was lied to from the Mortgage Co to the Construction.

Buyer be ware. If you build with this company, you may need to hire an attorney.

Drees makes a good home and they have some beautiful designs and layouts. Those are the only good things I can say. Their communication, professionalism, and accountability are all 1 out of 10 (unless zero is an option). They don't adhere to any sort of schedule. When they miss dates they don't communicate the reasons why unless they're asked multiple times. They showed time and time again that they didn't care how stressful the home building process is for the customer. I would recommend any potential buyer avoid Drees at all costs. Their business practices rob the customer of any excitement and their lack of communication and accountability leave you feeling helpless and hopeless. The quality of workmanship was no where close to what I expected from Drees. Trusting Drees and their partners became harder and harder as time went out.

Not sure there is a good builder out there, but Drees is definitely not one. The building process is stressful enough, but when you throw bad quality workmanship, delays, laziness/sloppiness, it just compounds the issues.

I would not hire Drees to build a dog house much less a new home for us. There were multiple errors throughout the building process that took months to rectify. We had to change lots because they measured the 1st one incorrectly and our home would not fit on the lot. The Marketing Manager could not effectively explain what a garden basement was. Our laundry room was inverted from the blue prints and installed incorrectly. It had to be ripped out and redone. The tresses across the ceiling had 1 that was almost an 1" longer than the rest. We had to have huge holes cut out in our Master Bedroom and Bonus Room after the rooms had been completed and redone. The ceilings are still not complete and will have to have the drywall fixed at our 1 year warranty. The trades did a horrible job on the work done in the home. The trim is uneven. The grout is missing in sections in our master bathroom. There is wall paint on our white trim. There is paint on our floors. The cosmetics of the home are poorly done and do not represent the quality one would expect with the price point of our home. Buyer Beware. ... More
