Everything has been good except slow taking care of a few problems

Up until the final weeks, the experience was pretty good. However, the final weeks, and after signing has been a nightmare. Final walkthrough (one week out) had countless issues, while numerous things were still not even scheduled, to know if we should be requesting they be fixed. On the day of closing, there were trades all over the house, paint all over the floors, etc. Needless to say, the day we had been dreaming about left much to be desired. But the worse part was post closing. The builder made a list of issues to be addressed "ASAP". Of which, he said half would be done by the end of that day. Complete lies. Nobody showed up that day. The process with Drees was over all really good. The home quality and attention to detail is really nice. We had some unusual issues during the build due to our lot (not Drees) that I would have been nice to more aggressively address, but Drees has stood by their commitments and continues to work through the problems. I would definitely build with Drees again.

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home! Drees did a remarkable job! They're workmanship was perfect! I got so many beautiful upgrades for the price. I couldn't have bought a decent existing home for what I paid for this condo! When I first walked in, it was love at first sight. I couldn't believe that I had such a gorgeous home!

Our project manager, Matt was great. Any workmanship issues were scheduled and corrected promptly with the exception of a concrete issue. The floor plan works exactly as we wanted based on our ability to customize with DOYL. Thanks George. Not cheap with upgrades and lot improvement charges, but the overall value of the home is good. It immediately appraised above the purchase price. Very happy with the house and lot.

The home buying experience was overshadowed by the lack of adherence and unprofessionalism related to agreed upon purchase items to the house. Additionally, minor design flaws are not easily corrected through Drees (fixing myself). Ultimately, Drees came through in fulfilling their agreement for purchased items and corrected most but not all issues.

Overpriced. Made with the cheapest materials available.

We moved to Drees 2months back. We are not satisfied with quality and workmanship. Some portion of the wood is not stable. It is going down or is soft. Paint finish is not good. Countertop is slanted.

Buying our new Drees home was a great and seamless experience, from start to finish. They explained the entire process at the start and everything came together exactly as intended. I do wish there were more options available during the selection process, but ultimately, we are very happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommend Drees.

Drees are exceptional homes. They will not push you into buying a home but be patient with you! I love my house and it’s amazing!

We still have blue tape all around our house on things that aren’t fixed. We are missing a cabinet in our basement bar because the cabinet installers left a broken cabinet, like we wouldn’t notice. When we opened the cabinet door, it just fell off. Also, our flooring was put in so terrible that we have lumps and bumps all over the place. I have zero trust with the team of people that were supposed to “help” us; they basically took our money and have left us. As much as we paid for the house (and our first water bill was over $600; there’s only 3 people in our house) our lawn should look better. Actually, we don’t really have much of a lawn. At least Atlantic Builders puts sod in their customers yards. Also, we were supposed to have a cutout for an electrical outlet for our basement for our business purposes and that still hasn’t been done, hindering our business growth. The workmanship was so sloppy that on the side of our home, they didn’t finish a row of stone; just put the mortar there and didn’t finish. I will NEVER build a new home again and I definitely recommend anyone building a new home to go with custom builder. ... More

over the years we have built 5 times and working with Drees is by far the best. A responsive company, always willing to answer questions, to help seek solutions, and to keep us updated. we hope never to build again, but we will always tell people, if you are going to build, build with Drees.

Overall satisfied. Their quality audit process ensures typical building issues get resolved.

Too much to share in writing. We’re still struggling to receive full compliance of materials and service work and installations.

The personnel we have met have been very professional and knowledgeable.

The process can alternatively be described as either a straightjacket or as well organized. There were supply disruptions...which is understandable. But, instead of pausing and waiting, the schedule was maintained, with the result that necessary preconditions for installation of later phases were shortchanged or not met at all. This resulted in mistakes that were difficult to rectify or required compromises.

Everyone on teh Drees team was engaged and a pleasure with which to work.

Floor plans are the most attractive among the other builders.

Drees builds an incredible home for all phases of your life!

My overall experience with Drees is they do what they can with what they are given. Their biggest issue is lower management and their contractors. Management doesn’t hold the contractors accountable and the contractors do the bare minimum to get by. You as the homeowner have to micromanage the build from the start and make sure all the items you signed for are completed. It made the process incredibly stressful and not enjoyable. Hopefully the issue can be resolved and improved upon. Hopefully making future homeowners processes more enjoyable.

Overall had a positive experience purchasing and building our home with Drees. The process is never smooth and hiccups happen, which they were mostly responsive to. The workmanship is good, not great. Bathroom shower had to be redone due to a issue they found (which I would not have noticed so that is good). The worst experience definitely has been the landscaping they provided - large portion of the sod that was provided was in horrible condition and they were happy to come out and replace those pieces. The placement and installation of trees is terrible. I had 5 trees installed - 3 are crooked and 1 was placed in the middle of the backyard (why?!). They do not fix/move them either after installation so make sure when they do the initial landscaping, you're watching closely. Like with other builders as well, your lawn is just all clay so the quality of the soil is horrendous and you're going to have to do a lot of work after to get it right. ... More

I chose Drees to build our home because of the modern floorplan and upscale design. Although there were many obstacles and I had doubts that I would get all that I originally had hopes for, the Drees team did what they could to ensure that the challenges were overcome and I ended up with the home that I set out for from the beginning.

... until you close. We have an incompetent warranty representative. Small things, such as caulk missing around our tub were handled in such an unprofessional manner and have yet to be truly fixed.. Major things, like drainage in our backyard swale & moisture in/around our AC, have yet to be addressed/feel as though they had zero urgency. The sales rep & construction managers we've worked with are both amazing! The build process was clear. Given the pandemic, we expected multiple delays. Everything that was impacted was clearly communicated. Our home was very well built. I wish I could give 5 stars but at this point, not happening. ... More
