We are extremely satisfied with the entire building process. Everyone we talked to on the Highland Homes team was a pleasure to work with. They worked with us literally every step of the way. We were a little nervous building a new house from out of state, but the team made it as smooth and seamless as possible. We're happy we went with HH! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Highland was very responsive when we had an issue needing repair. They followed up to ensure the problem was resolved.

Highland Homes has a great team and made our experience of buying our home very stress free and easy. We would definitely use them again if buying a new home. We love our home and all the upgrades!

We love our highland home! The first builder project manager we had did not send updates and we didn’t feel included in the building process. We had several glitches through the finance and closing processes with document recording, closing dollar amount, holding keys at closing over $50 that was a quality review issue on the title and finance side and last minute upgrades that had to be installed. When Jesse came in and took over near closing he has treated us not only fairly but has gone above and beyond to ensure everything in our home is satisfactory for us. Workmanship is crap. The painters suck. My 9 year old daughter could do a better job. The trim used inside is crap. MDF garbage For a 500k + house I guess I thought it would be better.

Willingness to work with us to make the home buying experience what we had hoped for.

whew. here we go. We moved into a new build home by Highland Homes in August 2020 and have found so many issues with build quality of the home, as well as drainage issues on the land. Land/ Property: Drainage issue was brought up during construction in March/ April and was not assessed until we threatened to pull out of home purchase in August. This is still ongoing even through October 2020. Have had 2-3 development managers come out and discuss adjustments, a few fixes have been made to little or no avail, but it should have been discussed/ adjustments made to the property back when we brought it to their attention months prior. Home: We have had doorknobs (front and back doors) completely fall off multiple times. I had the builder adjust twice and still has fallen more. these will be noted soon and hopefully completely replaced. Painters have needed 2-3 trips to get to where we are now, and more trips are still needed to complete their jobs. The AC thermostats did not work and needed to be replaced, the alarm circuit did not work and required adjustments, the digital locks were not tracked and it took a few discussions by BSG and builder to find out who is responsible for install of those. The skybell doorbell also needed replaced. The oven vent was installed incorrectly and needed to be replaced. Multiple trim boards were bowed out. We just discovered when it got cold that the Heating in the HVAC is not working. 2 closets did not even get all of the storage/shelving that was supposed to be added. One had no storage/shelving at all. Builder only discovered after we went into another same-plan home. Landscaping: Landscapers planted 16 plants which would grow to be gigantic bushes in a garden which shouldnt have had 3 or 4 max. When i asked about it, i was told they were weeds... even after providing photos from when they were planted by landscapers. Eventually they did come out and replace. but had to go back and forth between builder and landscapers to identify what was even planted. Conclusion: I have moved into 3 or 4 new-construction homes, and this one has had more problems than any of those COMBINED. If my family wasnt already in process of having their home built by Highland, i would never refer them. All of the individuals i have worked with have been nice and very accommodating, the followthrough is what has been severely lacking though. I honeslty have felt that every single week we have 2-3 new issues to add to our 90-day warranty fix list. I havent included a single one of those (30+) issues in this review. They left me incomplete things at home and it's been going on for 3 months and they don't solve me.

We had nothing but good things happen throughout the process. Would be willing to buy from them again. Thanks to all.

I knew exactly what I wanted and dreamed of in my new home. Ginger and the entire Highland team made it all come true! Single story, open floor plan, Incredible kitchen designed for entertainment and a spacious master bed/bath! Thank you Highland Homes for your fine craftsmanship, kind and expert sales and design team and to Garrett and his crew for building our dream home!

The product and floorplans are great, but the contractors repeatedly made mistakes and many did not put much care into their workmanship. Management failed to communicate effectively and oversee the quality of the project, leaving a long list of repairs and fixes that had to be completed post-closing. We had contractors in and out of our house for two months after we moved in, and although everything was made right in the end, it was a very frustrating and inconvenient process. If you build with Highland, visit the site often, and triple check all of the specs. We visited nearly every week and still, items were missed. Take detailed notes about brick and grout colors, and pay attention to tile spacing... and when it comes to baseboards and trim, make sure they don't use MDF. It was the only no cost option we were given, even though they admit there's no good way to install it (nail holes swell preventing you from ever having a smooth surface). ... More

From start to finish and beyond this process has been seamless and I can not say enough about the level of Customer Service I have received from the builder. Everything has been resolved almost immediately and to complete satisfaction. I will continue to build and own Highland Homes due to the quality of care that is delivered, the structural build of the homes and the extended warranty and care that is displayed to the owner.

This is our first Highland Homes and can’t imagine going anywhere else in the future. The design and quality meets the highest standards, and their customer interactions and responsiveness is excellent.

Our experience with Highland Homes was delightful from beginning to end. Everyone (Debby, Xavier, Beau) went above and beyond to make the home building and buying process amazing and not stressful at all. We did not feel like customers, we felt like family. We are so happy we chose Highland Homes and the beautiful Wellington community to build our home.

The best thing has been no issues (except bad thermostats which were promptly replaced by the builder) after closing. Highland builds a quality house, and they back up their work.
