Good experience buying the home With highland the staff was excellent to work with.

Went through the first walk through, tagged everything we needed them to touch up. Second walk through was a mess, because we had issues with the builders lender we really didn’t have a good final walk through. At this point we just wanted to move in. FYI don’t go with this builders lender. We built our home, started in February finally moved in September. Lender said everything was great we were approved for the whole six months. 3 days before our closing date, they said they couldn’t approve us. For two weeks they told me to pay off certain debts I had. Did everything they asked for at the end still couldn’t. Went with another lender got pre approved in 3 days closed in two weeks. After moving in some of the stuff we tagged for them to fix the first walk through was still there. We thought we could trust the builders. Mostly all the door handles including the front door were loose. Went to the builder to tell them. They gave me a screw driver to go do it my self. I have three months living at my home and I’ve already have had to call my warranty twice to come fix things like, no texture on walls, places they didn’t even paint, huge crack on our cement stair way to the front door. Still haven’t came to fix the rest of the stuff I put on the second order of warranty, and it’s already been a month. Like, the huge crack from one side of the drive way to the other side, one straight line across. I had a guy come fix the stair way to the front door and when my wife showed him the other crack that’s on the drive way. He said that they would probably had to do the whole drive way all over again. No one ever came back. Not worth the pay! The only best thing out of this builder is there sales person that’s at the model home. He has been super helpful to us from the get go and even after I bought the house I’ve called him, because I can’t get a hold of the people that are responsible to fix my issues at my house, he’s always picked up and tried to help me in any way he can. Highland (and Quentin in particular) were great to work with and very responsive to ensuring we had the home of our dreams!

Sales process was professional. Massive problems with issues reported before closing - still not taking care off. Too many times we had invest our time for issues and no results. Simple things (i.e. shoe mold in kitchen) is still not taken care off. No communication from Building Manager. Very frustrating. More and more smaller problems occur and NO action after reporting.

We had a great experience building with Highland. From our salesperson - who was just amazing, to our builder, who was always ready to answer our questions and see to any changes or fixes. The quality is amazing and great value for money! Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

The fact i was able to ask questions and connect with several on staff was outstanding, someone was always responded to the first time buyer questions.

Love the neighborhood layout relating to amenities

Of all the builders we visited when choosing our retirement home, Highland provided the home layout, finish, attention and service we were looking for. Overall, a good experience.

Poor service. Poor workmanship. Not a pleasant experience.

Cheaply made cabinets. Had wiring issues, split base boards, garage door issue, back door to the house howls when the wind blows and drainage issues in the back yard. For the price of the house you would think we would not have so many issues. I spent 100k less for my last house and never had this many issues.

We were pleased overall with our building experience with Highland Homes. There were some quality of workmanship issues with some of the finishing crews at the end of our build, but our builder was helpful in trying to resolve those issues. Some have been resolved, and others still have a resolution being worked towards. That part has been very frustrating for a new homeowner.

Excellent experience at all stages. Highland was able to accommodate our design changes and requests for customization at fair prices and flexiblity with our special requests. Finish has been top notch and the few minor issues that we found have all been addressed and resolved quickly and freindly. I've enjoyed my experience with each and every Highland employee from sales, to design to construction!

Finish work and muniltipul other problems found with the house.

Our flooring seems to squeak quite a bit. It makes the floor feel cheap. Some issues with the cabinets such as them not being aligned or drawers touching each other. The landscaping died out soon after moving in even though we had the sprinklers on. There is always mud where the fence is due to poor drainage!

I had a great home buying experience with Highland Homes. From my first visit to the lovely model and working with a great sales counselor through each phase of the building process, I was pleased with the journey. There were several wonderful floorplans to choose from and I am delighted with the one I chose. The amenities included, as well as the quality of workmanship is excellent. I am proud to be a Highland Homes homeowner.

As a Realtor myself this was an excellent home buying experience. Everyone was very responsive and helpful. It was very easy to work with this builder.

Reece and Jeff are two of the best in the business. Excellent value without corners cut, and exceptional workmanship. Our home is the difference between working with a craftsman versus a contractor. Highly recommended!
