I had a great experience with the Highland Homes team! I would definitely recommend them to all my family and friends!

First 2 weeks had good response as to items that need attention. The last 6 weeks response was good from contractors that Highland Homes contacted, but not from Highland Homes as to items that would be handled directly by Highland Homes.

My construction manager was responsive and kept me informed every step of the way. Everything progressed as they said it would.

Highland Homes may have built it’s better reputation in the early 2000’s for innovative, functional and almost high end quality materials. But in the recent years it’s quality and workmanship seems to be faltering. It’s been 86 days in our new house and there are already numerous issues of workmanship and quality of products installed. Had it not been with the construction manager and sales agent. I would rated it 1 star.

I probably would've have had a better experience with a another builder. They just want your houses done quick no matter what the condition. No communication after 1 month there was a big 10×10 hole in the middle of my yard and no one said anything about until i had to complain of course and 3 weeks later and the hole is STILL there.

Incredible company made up of incredible people. Couldn’t be happier with our new home and the experience of building with Highland Homes.

The sales people are awesome and stay in touch with you. The project manager was quite responsive throughout the process. However, the drywall has multiple cracks in the corners of many walls and the material used for the baseboards seems cheap or old. The caulking dried and shrunk in less than 2 months and several nail pops appeared right away. They don't be appear to be covered under the warranty.

From the beginning of the process, December 2019, Megan, our sales rep, went above and beyond to answer our questions or concerns that we had. We purchased our property before our section of the neighborhood had been started and before Highland officially started building in the neighborhood so there were growing pains associated with that. The whole process could have been streamlined had we known every option that was available from the start. Throughout the whole process we had to essentially inundate our sales rep with questions about things we could have put in the house, things that are now readily available to all purchases, ie. Black exterior and interior windows. Megan did her best to get our questions answered asap but it seemed like corporate didn't have the answers themselves. Again, Megan went above and beyond and did an amazing job. Overall quality of the house...some aspects are good and others not so much. The trim work around the house is sub par and cheap. The caulking used to seal has already started splitting, seams and taping on the drywall have started splitting, which was explained to us by our construction manager is not covered to have repaired by highland since its from settling. Correction tape and floating issues are covered but not seems in the caulking and nail pops. One of our corners in the kitchen trim is wonky and not plum, neither is the wall. Exterior paint job is spotty and shotty and the trades used throughout the process have zero respectability in their work. Touch up done on trim around the house was not painted properly after repairs were made to it. Stain in the master bathroom tub hasn't been able to be removed. Cracks on the corners of walls, and the list goes on. For a company that I've heard nothing but good things about some of the work quality is lower than builder grade at best. Need to be more attentive to the trades they hire and be on-site more to make sure they're doing their jobs and cleaning up their trash. I should not be finding fragments, large fragments at that, of brick and trash throughout my yard under flower beds and sod. ... More

We loved going through the home buying/building process with Highland. They made everything stress free and communicated with us great. I would absolutely recommend using highland if in the market for building a new home. The house turned out wonderful! Its everything we wanted.

Our salesman Ethan was very responsive, knowledgeable, and caring. He was very helpful throughout the entire process and was eager to solve any and every issue that arose throughout. The construction manager Dylan was the same until the very end when there were some issues with door frames, when brought up he tried to talk his way out of solving the issues by going as far as saying it would push closing back two months. After going to his boss and pushing back it was resolved within a day. My family and I love the house and are very happy in our new home. Our experience with Highland homes was absolutely fantastic! Lynn and Linda in the sales office were so helpful and accommodating. I don't say this lightly, but their integrity was one of the biggest reasons we went with Highland. Every interaction we had, we walked away knowing we could trust what was discussed. One person who I really can't thank enough throughout this was Blake, our Building Manager. That guy made the experience fun and exciting. He listened to what we had to say, provided us with some great feedback, and kept us up-to-date with everything that was going on. He was very professional, but made it seem like you're just talking with a good friend about something they're extremely knowledgeable about. Because of Blake, I can absolutely trust that the quality of our home is something I won't have to worry about. I also wanted to make note that we started the construction of our home just before COVID hit. Once the foundation was poured, that's when the first shutdown started. I really can't thank the team over at Highland enough for staying on top of things and letting us know what was going on every step of the way. Great experience, listened to our concerns at every stage

Wasn’t a very pleasant home purchase. We had issues from the day we moved in and had to reach out many times to get things fixed.

From Chadd to Caleb everyone in the highland home staff are highly professional. They keep you updated throughout the process.

The house is beautiful, and our builder Ben has been very responsive about taking care of some little things that need to be fixed. Overall, the workmanship is good, and my husband and I are very pleased.

Friendly, helpful and responsive from all areas. It was a pleasure and painless.

We found the process very easy, Steve and Andrew where easy to work with and accommodating with every request and sometimes rushed deadlines. The only drawback with the lighting selections.

After shopping around for a builder we decided to go with Highland Homes. Highland had amazing floor plans to choose from and even allowed us to make structural changes for our needs. Their products are all equipped with smart home features, high Ceilings and a open concept feel. Their skilled craftsmanship, commitment , and everyone from sales to management were very professional. I highly recommend Highland to Anyone.

Love the home, but due to COVID, they took very long to come and fix a few issues with our home. Still waiting on things that haven’t been taken care of.

Jamie and Nick have been great they do excellent job. Been great experience but have notices some of the construction such as island seems to have been rushed for assembly. installation of small things such as door knobs are not installed adequately but fixed. Attic area is in Canterbury has safety issue, the builders do not put sufficient stepping area when going up attic ladder so there is potential for falling due to 45 degree step up to AC unit. Recommend builder at least put one plywood in attic on alternate side of attic ladder for safety.

Highland homes shines with quality and craftsmanship. After seeing many homes on the market, we instantly fell in love with our Highland home. Open concept, Rigid Core Flooring, Grand staircase entrance with wrought Iron and covered patio. I would definitely rate them as a top builder in Bridgeland Community.
