First time building a home and could not be more pleased. The staff at the model home were using to talk to and answered any questions or concerns we had.

We had a great process most of the way. The sales people were fantastic; super helpful and went out of the way in many cases to assist us. The construction side was pretty good - they cared and tried. They were pretty flexible and worked with us to accommodate some special requests. The company is higher quality than many others, but there were still small shortcuts taken here and there that were frustrating. We then got caught up in the COVID hype and they cancelled walk-thrus and refused to work on warranty items even though construction was continuing right next door on other houses. That was very frustrating and the communication was not great during this time, but the circumstances were unusual. Overall, they could have been better, but I have seen alot worse out there. This was an excellent experience from beginning to end, highland Went above and beyond in every effort, even when things got dicey at the end, I can’t see myself buying from or building with a different builder again

Larry, Amy, and Matt were all very accommodating to our requests and last minute changes. Very professional and responsive. Great team to work with and very pleased with our home.

Ensure contracted workers are not souring Highlands name by their workmanship.

Be sure to have specific lists and items you wish to discuss with your builder contact before meeting. Spend time doing the walkthroughs and stay positive and appreciative of their time and effort. They are working with big issues related to the virus and the processes involved with getting items addressed in your new home.

We had a great experience here in Devonshire. Jamie was amazing in the office and Blake was very thorough in his explanations about the different features of our home.

Can't think of much except maybe be open and negotiate. Stay and remain positive thru out the ordeal.

I would highly recommend Highland Homes!

Our sales consultant, Steve, was great to work with. He was knowledgeable, could articulate the value and was always looking to solve for "yes". Post sales, I thought the the execution on the end product is only as good as the trades that are hired. Quality of materials aside, I wasn't convinced that Highland had any competitive advantage in this regard.

My wife and I closed on our house in Mar 2020 and Edna and her team in Pecan Square were wonderful to work with. They were able to answer all of the questions we had in the process and able to get us the house built that we wanted with the features we needed. The construction manager Lonnie did a great job at keeping us updated weekly on our house's progress and in making changes when we needed them and following up even after closing. We plan on living in this house forever, but would definitely recommend this team to anyone looking to buy a new home. Everyone on the team was outstanding!

Highland was very responsive during the entire building process and more than once was already a head of any concerns that I had. No request was to big or small.

They response issue but they don’t solve the problem. And the materials quality are not good.

Excellent quality and services

We completed the building process from Washington state, which can significantly complicate the process. Dorothy and Adrian were amazing throughout with updates and pictures. They always went above and beyond expectations!

For a house of that value, one would expect to see higher quality fittings eg light, tiles and wooden cabinets. In addition a better utilization of the space especially to increase the size of the rooms. Carpets are no longer necessary in bedrooms due to allergy issues so could have been tiles or wood for the floors.

Professional staff who takes the time to ensure you understand the process. They took the time to make sure that was introduced to the builder and design team before construction began. They made the home buying experience pleasant and stress free.

The entire Highland Team is professional, caring, genuine and the list goes on... Highly recommend Highland Homes. The homes are such great quality with so many amenities included in the house.

Judy was a difference maker in me choosing Highland Homes and Sonoma Verde. Zach was great, and my builder Bob is top notch, still comes by to help with any issues I have period!! Highland homes is everything that they advertise, their construction specs are top notch, and the efficiency of the home is as good as advertised. I believe now they truly are the #1 rated builder in Texas and # 4 in the nation!!!!

We had looked at many houses while searching for a home; our realtor showed us several different new homes in our current area, and went over any advantages or disadvantages with each. Highland Homes representatives were very friendly and answered any and all questions we had. Once we had picked out the home we wanted, any issues we had (all were small issues) were dealt with very quickly and without question. We would not hesitate to purchase from them again in the future.

Highland homes is there every step up the way. Beginning to the end. Even after purchase the team checked in and any small issues discovered have been quickly resolved with a smile

We moved in December and already experiencing issues of poor workmanship. The houses in this neighborhood are so close to each other and the house which is getting built after we moved in has window directly facing our window. With houses being so close to each other, more thought should have been put to not have neighbors window face each other. Flooring is cheap wood and not perfect for a new home.
