The entire buying process was smooth. All Highland representatives were friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. My home was completed approximately one month ahead of schedule.

The build process went incredibly smoothly and the Highland manager followed through on all his commitments.

We entered into a contract on a new Highland Home right before Covid hit. Even though we were unable to return to the home to do an inspection or walk thru, the construction supervisor walked us thru it on Zoom so we could get another look at the house before we closed.

Thank you for the beautiful home. This was my second Highland purchase.

First time building a home and glad we did it with Highland. Jeff and Judy were easy to work with in the office and Bryan was and continues to be responsive with our home. The materials were excellent so far and workmanship was good, any issues I had were quickly addressed. Nothing is ever perfect and they will fix anything which is not up to standard. There are a few things I wish I could have added or changed, but those are minor compared to what I got. I am really happy with my home, Highland has created a house I have been able to turn into a home. If you are looking for a home I would definitely go to talk to Ethan. The only problem is there is only one Ethan. He is amazing at what he does, and can tell he actually enjoys what he does. My problem came when some of my bushes and trees were dead when I purchased my house. Although the project manager assured me they would be fixed even though the closing documents said they would not replace them. Once I moved in, and discovered they were dead, the project manager simply told me it was nothing he could do. Little things that could have been included for the money that was spent. Doors, switches, lights these were just a couple up grades I paid for. Was not to happy about how high my foundation was built up in comparison to my neighbors. On the plus Rich n Ken did a good job of our concerns of the home.

Purchasing and building our Highland home was a Great experience. From the selection and sales to the build. Our contractor, Nico, was a pleasure to work with and took good care of us. I remember when we first met him he told us that his main responsibility was to make sure we were satisfied and that he built us the best home possible. He succeeded. We toured many new homes models all over the Austin area and by far preferred Highland Homes.

Highland Homes did a great job. We appreciate the responsiveness of both Luke and Jacob, who made every effort to meet our wishes with all of the options we selected and special requests. The only suggestion we have is that Highland Homes find a better way to communicate available options and coordinate the selections to be more seamless among the office person, design center, electrical related selections, and construction manager. We found out about and added options several times after the first selections. We would have been very upset if we had not learned about those in time to add them. We were told that having many change orders was typical, but I do think those could be significantly reduced with better communication. And having more seamless communication would have made the whole process less confusing. ... More

Home was clean when I moved in and ready for me to take over. The service from our PM was great however after we moved in several items came to light that needed attention. Our PM had the small items corrected in no time but the items left on the list have not been corrected such as our dishwasher issue with the hot water needed to clean the dishes etc. Hot water takes too long to get to the master shower and dishwasher so we have a lot of wasted water etc. You cannot foresee these underling issues before you close. After my investigation on this issue all of the highland homes have this issue in Liberty addition. I have called Rheem and explained the issue and found out that highland should have installed a recirculation pump to resolve this issue. My PM spoke with him boss and told him Highland has had this issue for the last ten years etc. S you can see where this is headed! ... More

Really enjoyed the process and responsiveness of the sales team and builder. The Lot is great and the floor plan is great. I was glad that the architect was able to change our plan to accommodate our needs. Thanks for another good purchase!

Great value but sacrificed quality in workmanship. After moving in there were little things that went wrong. Refrigerator was damaged upon delivery and still has an issue after being replaced. Pillars in the patio area holding up the roof has a gap which is perfect for insects/termites/pests to enter the home/attic. Garage cable that retracts when the opening the garage snapped. Countertop in master bath where it is caulked between the wall and countertop is cracking/peeling. Needs to be recaulked.

There is a lot of issues with the cosmetic lights already broke down the outside lamp the light bulb never has work the garage doesn’t have a motor I found out in the final walk the paint work on trim no good on the laundry room the box for the wiring cámaras doesn’t latch I have a tape tape out to the wall No paint kit all the trim around the house it’s started to crack don’t understand why since they are using water base paint but I know they gonna blame the foundation settlement the reason is they are caulking and not giving enough time for the caulk to dry and many more stuff

First time building a home and could not be more pleased. The staff at the model home were using to talk to and answered any questions or concerns we had.

We had a great process most of the way. The sales people were fantastic; super helpful and went out of the way in many cases to assist us. The construction side was pretty good - they cared and tried. They were pretty flexible and worked with us to accommodate some special requests. The company is higher quality than many others, but there were still small shortcuts taken here and there that were frustrating. We then got caught up in the COVID hype and they cancelled walk-thrus and refused to work on warranty items even though construction was continuing right next door on other houses. That was very frustrating and the communication was not great during this time, but the circumstances were unusual. Overall, they could have been better, but I have seen alot worse out there. Compared to their peers, I think they are near the top of the industry in terms of customer experience. ... More

This was an excellent experience from beginning to end, highland Went above and beyond in every effort, even when things got dicey at the end, I can’t see myself buying from or building with a different builder again

Larry, Amy, and Matt were all very accommodating to our requests and last minute changes. Very professional and responsive. Great team to work with and very pleased with our home.

Ensure contracted workers are not souring Highlands name by their workmanship.

Be sure to have specific lists and items you wish to discuss with your builder contact before meeting. Spend time doing the walkthroughs and stay positive and appreciative of their time and effort. They are working with big issues related to the virus and the processes involved with getting items addressed in your new home.

We had a great experience here in Devonshire. Jamie was amazing in the office and Blake was very thorough in his explanations about the different features of our home.
