Corporations are simply a legal entity that is composed of people. The people make the organization. The people at Highland Homes in Star Trail have impeccable character and integrity. They are trustworthy and fair. You cannot ask for more from a home builder. I can highly recommend Highland without any reservations.

Our sales agent was amazing and our second CM has been wonderful, but unfortunately, some mistakes are too expensive and work-intensive to resolve at this point. Our first CM made a slew of mistakes -- misframed walls, crooked island, and we ended up with a sewage backup within the first week, of living in our new home. We definitely wish we'd had an inspector come out for the predrywall walk and again before closing. GET A GOOD INSPECTOR! However, overall, we are loving our home and our new CM has been very empathetic and good to work with in correcting issues that we can still resolve. While there are things we wish we'd done differently during the building / inspection process, we don't regret going with Highland and would recommend them to our friends and family. ... More

Lot unfinished work need to be done. T Jet tub not working.

After 1 month closing. The grand new AC has issues. AC leaking water down to the ceiling and dripped to the floor. Highland Contractor just repaint the effected area. Big Tex still don’t know what happened to the AC. Same thing happened after 2 weeks. Called Big Tex Emergency many times nobody respond. Very disappointed.

Be sure you understand the plan you want to build. The upgrades will set your home apart and give you more enjoyment. Be sure and check all your options. Be sure to communicate with the office support team and selection staff for your options to make sure you get what you pay for. They are the most important people to ensure your satisfaction. This group is the ones that can make sure your builder is updated on your home.

We’ve had an excellent experience, particularly when dealing with our Construction Manager Cody R. Cody is very knowledgeable, thorough, and follows through. We are having a minor fly issue (they are coming in the garage and through our adjacent bathroom wall...) and within minutes of notifying Cody, he was here and arranged for pest control. He and the contractors that have come out have been attentive and courteous.

We looked at multiple builder prior to Highland Homes and I have to say there was something about the quality of the house that just set Highland Homes apart from other builders. When we met with the construction manager, I made sure to compliment him on the work very well done on our house. I see ourselves in this house for a long time and I look forward to amazing memories with my family.

Was a pleasant experience all the way through.

I am very impressed with the Highland build process. Valerie did a great job making sure we built the house we wanted and made sure we got the best deal possible. Michael is one of the most impressive people I have done business with. He made sure we were 100% satisfied every step of the way. There were a few times we weren't pleased with the process and he went out of his way to make sure that things were take care of. I would definitely build with Highland again.

Brick work and some cosmetic details could be improved.

Caleb has been extremely responsive to issues that have surfaced post closing.

I rated the quality of workmanship as 4 of 5 stars because no home is PERFECT when one moves in. There were small things we found after living in the house for a few weeks, but that has been our experience with six other homes over the years. Having said that, the value of the home is fine and meets today's standards. The trustworthiness in building the home and the responsiveness to the issues discovered are excellent. The foreman who built the home is incredibly responsive to any issue discovered and is wonderful to work with. Process of building and closing went very well. The process was MUCH better than the process we went through 6 years ago when we custom built a home with a custom home builder. The Highland Homes Construction manager and sales person kept us updated with weekly phone calls on the progress of construction and always answered any questions we had. A couple of cosmetic items we noted after closing that needed attention, but all were fixed promptly and professionally. Another builder wanted to nickel and dime for extras like sprinklers, landscaping, sod, etc and would not allow us to have a whole house vacuum installed. A lot of the extras Highland INCLUDES in their homes and they were perfectly OK with allowing us to install a whole house vacuum. We were even able to customize the kitchen to allow space for a chef's fridge and freezer to be installed. ... More

We have purchased two homes, fifteen years apart and been impressed on both occasions. The prices are reasonable, the designs are attractive, and the quality has been long-lived. On a personal level, the individuals on the sales and service teams are excellent. They are reasonable, responsive, and trustworthy. I'd come back for a third home if the need arose.

Nothing is ever perfect but they came as close as they could. Purchased my home long distance and they were communicative and responsive with me all along the way and even so now as I find little things to be tweaked along the way!

Overall we had a great experience with Highland Homes. We were kept up to date during the process and timeline expectations and completions. The work was done great but was not perfect. That said, when these imperfections were brought up, attentive to the issues and resolved. I highly recommend Highland Homes, the home was beautifully built and we love it.

Very good builders and responsive to issues. Some does take time to resolve, so submit request a early as possible.

They go above and beyond. They listen to your desires and fit them into the floor plan that fits your need. These folks have never heard the word no.

Will & Kelsi were awesome in helping us through out the entire process. Also a huge thanks too Alex our construction Mgr.

We are extremely satisfied across the board with Highland Builders service, responsiveness, quality of work and everything about our new home!
