Very happy with our home. The customer service is excellent from sales through to construction and follow up.

the experience with Highland homes was great. Everything went smoothly starting from signing the documents to closing. The Sales person & the builder was really helpful. They provided all the required support and answered all our queries on time.

Make sure one ask questions about how do you (owner) make decisions on what customers want when it comes to master bath having a towel and linen rack when second bath has one, providing more room for master toilet, internet service, cable or direct TV. Making decision as to being upfront on informing us customers on all things important to us. Showing customer prices of incentives and allowing customers to be able to order all necessary. Walls are too thin no privacy. Providing pest control so they don't move in to ants, spiders because it seems as though you don't care. Be more concerned in customers to get higher ratings. We love our Highland Home! Everyone was wonderful in the process - we even did financing with them. Everyone was incredible... until we got to inspection time with our construction manager. He was remarkably unprofessional and dismissive. We still have items he promised to fix that are incomplete a month later. And we aren’t picky! His responses to us included “it’s just a spec home”, “I have a bajillion thing going on, so turn it in to warranties”, etc. We don’t even know what to do. (Note: we aren’t alone in our disappointment and frustration with Matthew).

Seriously impressed. I can honestly say I came into this process with skepticism and doubt- I have been impressed at every turn. There were a few times I was unhappy/nitpicky with work done. It was met with very quick response and immediate change. Our builder Daniel and our salesman Duwayne were always true to their word- and provided the highest quality professionalism, Customerservice and work done.

Construction was on time and with little problems. Overall it has been an very enjoyable event.

We had a great experience with our salesperson. She delivered everything she promised and she was a great help with understanding the process of building with Highland. The project manager did an equally fabulous job. He listened to our concerns and went above and beyond to deliver what he could. Past those two it was sometimes a struggle to get answers or help with the things we wanted for our house. For the new home buyer I would recommend making a list of the things important to you, floor plan, finishes, outdoor space, to name a few. Look at all possible plans and work hard at the design center to get what you want while staying in your budget. They have things they forgot they had, so bring pictures of what you want. Excellent in every way... Layne was the ultimate salesmAn, both professionally as well as personally in demonstration. His sincerity and follow through was beyond measure. I felt like I was a “ member of his family” and his efforts to foster my happiness was incredible! Corey, my builder, surpassed in every way any expectations that I may have had with my home/ even anticipated any concerns! His responses to my questions were expedient and addressed immediately without question . Tremendous workmanship and caring!!!!

While our Highland Home looks nice from the outside, it has been one frustration after another assuming ownership of this house. From failed promises to install a barrier wall that resulted in a vandal driving through our front yard (in a gated community, no less) resulting in hundreds of dollars of additional watering fees due to re-sodding, to HVAC duct work coming apart in the attic, to many other small to large issues, this has not been the experience described to us as we selected this builder and community. Perhaps ours is a unique case, but it doesn't feel that way when we speak to others in our neighborhood. Be sure to summarize every communication in writing point by point after each meeting as to your understanding and have them respond their agreement. Their people appear to forget easily. Not all their contractors are the best. Don't rely on their inspectors. Hire your own. We did like the floorplan and the location but we came close to walking away from the contract a few times.

Blake, Julie and Allison were fantastic to work with through the entire process! They were always available to answer my questions and gave me confidence in their product. I love my Highland Home and am so happy I chose them to be my partners in building my new home!

Working with Highland on the new home turned out to be a great experience. From Sales to Construction everyone we dealt with was very nice and helpful. Will be recommending them to all my friends.

The house seems like it was rushed to meet our closing date, which we could have easily pushed back. Details such as internet availability was vague and misguided. Still don't have internet after nearly 2 months. Sales consultant seemed clueless about the tree removal behind house. Paint work is sub par. Floor is unlevel in several places throughout the house. Drainage around the house seems to be an after thought. Inconsistencies from house to house with same floor plan in the sections. Wrong fence per groves code installed on back fence line. Chesmar homes are building fences to code next to us. The construction manager has done a good job at meeting our needs with fixes. Seems the mentality is to build fast with disregard to fit and finish and try to fix under warranty instead of just taking the time to get it right the first time. We love our house and neighborhood, but there is a lot of room for improvement. ... More

only reason im docking a star from workmanship // materials is theres little tiny things that were rushed, not huge deals, just basically small nicks that we were told can't be fixed overall amazing builder and great house for value

Love my new home. The two thing that bothered me, is that the ceilings are also painted gray and the missing shelve in the master closet. I know how to paint and can buy shelving, so I'll fix that.

Very happy with our home that we feel was extensively made for us. Everyone had been so wonderful in this process. 2nd time HH buyers. Would do it again!
