This is my second time building a home. Tracy T. and Ryan K. were great to work with and made the experience great. If I were to build another home, Tracy and Ryan would be my choice. I looked at many homes from other builders, but Highland Homes stood out.

The whole process was very streamlined. Our construction manager was the best of the best! We love our house and the community.

Ginger and Luis have made buying a Highland Home a wonderful experience!! From the first meeting with Ginger and her amazing vision and help with our interior and exterior choices to working with Luis who kept us informed weekly on how our build process was unfolding. The whole process was as smooth as one can hope in what can be a stressful situation. A huge THANK YOU to you both!! We absolutely love our new home, and our experience throughout the entire process, from the contract to the planning process, and from building to settling-in, Highland has been amazing every step of the way!

Really want to give the construction manager, Luke, a 5-Star rating. From the first time we met, before a contract, he has been patient, professional and timely with his responses to our questions and construction issues. His intentions to resolve issue quickly were often thwarted by unreliable subs. We've purchased several new homes in the Austin area over the past 30 years and find Luke to be one of the best!

The Highland team did a great job showing and selling my beautiful new home in a wonderful neighborhood.

The attention to quality control was almost impossible because of the "assembly line" process of a single construction manager trying to oversee multiple homes (15 plus in our case). The electrical work was incomplete and incompetent at times. Lack of crown molding and the use of basic base molding was dissappointing. Trash pickup in and around the house was infrequent . The choices for lighting were few, and upcharges were excessive for additional ceiling fans (should have been standard for bedrooms and porch). Too much vehicle conjestion on the narrow street. The house design and the beauty of the Mustang Lakes development is attractive, but the process of a single street being constructed simultaneously was frustrating, especially with houses only 10 feet apart. From the initial meeting at the model home all the way to closing, Highland is top notch. Anything that we have had issues with Highland has take care of it right away. We would buy another Highland Home hands down.

I made the decision to leave NY where I had lived for years after hearing from friends how wonderful it was living here in Van Alstyne, Texas. I came down to see for myself and from the minute I arrived I could see what they were raving about. My friends took me all around, showing me so many wonderful places and things. My friends live here in Van Alstyne in a beautiful house built by Highland Homes. I made the decision to meet with the people at Highland Homes. I met with Tracy, the most incredible Sales Representative for Highland Homes who couldn’t have been nicer. Tracy showed me all the houses I could pick from and all the designs I could choose from. I made the decision in 2 days time to buy a house here in Van Alstyne and to have Highland Homes build it. I haven’t regretted that decision for a second! I now live in the most beautiful house that I love. Tracy and Cameron, the construction manager kept me informed and updated each and every step of the way as my house was being built as I was living in NY. I never felt like I didn’t know the progress of my house. Regrets, I have none. This is the best house I’ve seen to date

Super happy with the home, our sales consultant Cory and our construction manager Eric. We had 2 minor issues and both were resolved perfectly in a timely manner. Over the years I’ve purchased several homes & this was by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

It was a great experience with few errors and hiccups but resolved after the closing.

Working with Highland has been a great experience. They truly care about their customers even after the purchase is complete. We love our new home and highly recommend Highland Homes to anyone looking to purchase a new construction home.

The materials used in the house are acceptable, but there is no good construction team to bring out the best in them. There are too many areas in the house that need improvement, many walls do not look new, and the attitude of the house inspection supervisor is extremely bad!

Ok, I have been buying total of 7 homes so far in my life. This is only home builder made me recommend my home builder to people. Sale office staff was amazingly professional and updating every single thing so I didn’t have to check on the progress. The sale staff did go above and beyond truly. And the home was very well built. I bought 2600 square feet 2 story home. Highland didn’t waste any space in the house. High quality finishes. The best part is the warranty care. After I move in, there must be little issues but the project manager Eric baker has been amazing. He personally takes care of every little thing within 24 hours. It was pretty much same day service for warranty repairs. I was so amazed. I never seen the service like this. Best experience I have ever had building a home. This was my 5th time building a home and had the best time doing it. No stress no worries the process was seamless thanks to Kim Edna Beth and Dave. The quality is more than what I expected and they were willing to listen to the changes I wanted to make this my forever home. I can not say enough about Highland Homes and the team I worked with.

Entire team was very responsive from the beginning to closing. Responsiveness continues as we have had a few small warranty items that were addressed very quickly. Can't say enough good things about the entire experience with Highland Homes.

I recently purchased a new property from Highland Homes, and I must say, the experience has been extremely disappointing. Here's why: 1. Poor Workmanship: The quality of the construction is far below what one would expect for the price. Numerous issues have arisen, from uneven flooring to poorly finished walls and faulty plumbing. It’s evident that the craftsmanship is subpar. 2. Low Quality Materials: The materials used in the construction of the home are of low quality. Doors, windows, and fixtures all feel cheap and have already begun to show signs of wear and tear within a short period of moving in. 3. High Prices: The cost of the home is exorbitant compared to the quality delivered. You are essentially paying a premium price for what amounts to substandard housing. 4. Poor Responsiveness: Trying to get issues addressed by the builder has been a nightmare. Customer service is unresponsive, and when they do respond, the solutions are either inadequate or delayed significantly. 5. Lack of Trustworthiness: Overall, the experience has left me with a deep sense of mistrust towards Highland Homes. They make grand promises during the sales pitch, but fail to deliver on almost every front. In conclusion, I would not recommend Highland Homes to anyone looking for a new property.
