Workmanship in different communities are not the same as other communities also the customer service. Highland Homes should have same standards in all of their communities. Would not purchase another Highland Home.

Excellent experience and the best purchase of a lifetime

Collin Thompson, the builder has been nothing short of amazing. When i moved in, there a few ticket items that needed to be addressed. The previous builder was dragging his feet on them. Collin swooped in and took over l and men, I can't say enough how professional, attentive, efficient and kind he was to my needs. He went way above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and in a timely fashion too. He was very flexible with my schedule. He was patient with me. He delivered 1000%. And maintained communication with me every step of the way. Thank you so much Collin for such a great experience so far. He even got his hands dirty himself for my sake. I dunno the other guys by name but the staff he had come over to take care of my ticket items were great as well. So thank you all. ... More

My experience with Highland Homes is as below. Positive experiences - Good plans. I found Highland Homes plans quite good. I think they have made good use of the overall space and good amount of light in the homes. - The construction material is generally good, with some exceptions as highlighted below in the negative section. - The home was delivered before the promised timeline, which was quite helpful. - The Sales Team was quite good and responsive. They were helpful in making some minor changes here and there, although, everything was through a change order. Negative. - Design Center experience was not up to the mark. The available options for upgrade were limited, especially in the case of wood flooring/Laminate. There were barely 4-5 options for laminate flooring and relatively few wooden flooring options. - Quality of workmanship. In my experience few places the supervision of the work was not adequate. E.g. the tiles in the master bathroom were not in perfect level as a result you can feel the edges and not much can be done about it. Also the sod in the backyard was laid without proper levelling as a result there is lot of uneven surface, which is an expensive proposition for the customer after closing which could have been avoided with little supervision. - Material. My observation on material quality is particularly with framing. I noticed in few places the studs used were not very good or strong. I had a hard time installing TV wall mount as some of the studs were damaged. This could have been avoided with supervision. There was a noticeable difference in the framing as compared to some of the leading builders. - Responsiveness. The response from the project team has not been up to the mark. While it was addressed to some extent, but it went down after the closing again. - Value for the price. The upgrades in general were very expensive, including the listed price, while some promotions were applied but there was little adjustment for the steep price drop right after the closing. Overall, I am happy with my home as it built before the promised timeline and like the plan, but there is a lot of room for improvement in the overall customer experience as highlighted above. ... Overall such a great experience from start to finish. I firmly believe the value for money is hard to beat with Highland.

Very nice set of people that work with highland home, even when my approval was delayed, they were very patient with me. The finishing of the house is topnotch, everyone that comes to my house always ask me, who is your building? They did a great job. I will always recommend Highland home.

Geoff has been amazing thru out the entire process

I am still waiting for light fixtures that were broke and another cracked, a crack I. Window front door repair and paint of shutter. I had one follow up but now nothing. I know they are busy just would like updates

From the moment we visited the house for the first time, the team (Anna, Drake, etc) has been nothing but phenomenal. Prompt answers, accommodating, and ready to make our lives easier and (even more) pleasant. The quality can be seen since you set foot on a house built by them.

Terrific experience going through the process of a new build. The construction supervisor, Geoffrey, was fantastic and communicated promptly.

We are happy with our new home. The process has been quick and smooth. It took 6 months from contract to closing. Andrew (Sales) and D'Marco (Construction Manager) responded very quick and always solved the problems whenever I contacted them. Strongly recommend

This was my second build. Highland went above my expectations in craftsmanships, customer service, and production deadlines. Glenn was a fantastic salesman and Jim was a phenomenal project manager. I could not have been happier with the process. I strongly recommend Highland homes to anyone looking for a new home in the area.

Its really good response and immediate action.

From my first interaction with Nelli and her team, the buying experience was better than I had ever experienced before. Nelli was patient and very knowledgeable. The help I received from Lindsay during the lending process was very professional and basically stress-free, which is unusual. Brandon and Ashley made the building of my home extremely pleasant because they were so patient, knowledgeable, an Very Responsive to any issue or question that I brought to them - and I had many questions and requests. The quality of the basic level of materials used was above what I had expected, and of course any upgrades were exceptional as well. The quality of workmanship was great in most instances, but did have to be revised in some areas, which I guess is to be expected, so overall - it was very good. It was a great experience buying a Highland Home. Very Professional and very knowledgable on every question I had. Accurate and efficient and would call me frequently on our updates and status. I was more than pleased with all Highland Homes staff.

The builder made many promises to correct some issues. Never completed!

I just moved back to Dallas from 15 years ago. This is my second Highland home and the quality and finish are unmatched. I moved from a 100% custom home and to find my dream house without all the extra work from custom was incredible. Highly recommend.

Generally, the buying process was quick and easy! The price of the house was in a reasonable range, although there are some unexpected surprises of paying extra for some of the developer’s own responsibilities to bring essential services to the area! In addition, I don’t expect to worry about the absence of blinds, funs and even a few of window screens are still missing! However, the properties of Highland Homes are fantastic!
