Highland did an AMAZING job with our recent home build. Their communication was top-notch, and the quality and follow-through on the construction were better than any other builder in the area. Highly recommend.

My salesman Hector was fantastic and very easy to work with. I would go as far as to say, if wasn’t for him, I don’t think I would have gone through with the build. The design center person wasn't very helpful. She was not aware of the costs of most choices and or upgrades which made it very difficult make choices and trying to stay within a budget when we are only allowed a certain amount of to me in the design center. The choices are limited. Our particular floor plan, we weren’t allowed to do similar features like waterfall edge on the counter tops or a decorative hood vent in the kitchen. If I had known that from the beginning I might not have bought the home. 600k plus home and I have an apartment looking hood vent. Most items in the design center are extremely overpriced. 7-8k for moen black faucets and fixtures in 2500 sqft is massively overpriced. Most items in the design studio are just as overpriced. I easily overpaid for the house by about 75k. Spending nearly 150k over the base price (even with the builder incentives) was definitely not part of my thought process going into the build. The builders lender appraised at purchase price to approve the loan, but I’m not so sure it would sell for what I purchased it for. I don’t ultimately ever plan to move so I’m content with the house, but think there were things that could have been done to increase the transparency. In the end the quality is decent and the cost is over priced. I don’t feel like I will have quality issues like with some other builders so that does give me peace of mind. I love my Highland Home. I have had some new home issues (common with new construction) but Highland has been responsive, and the issues are being resolved timely. Henry has been a large help in coordinating all of the necessary repairs for our family. Highland's professionals (Avery, Brandon, Henry) all have been very helpful throughout this entire homebuying process. Brandon & Henry both consistently respond after hours when I had new home construction issues. Between them both I feel confident that all of my new home issues will be resolved timely and to my standards.

Visiting the model home was the 1st and ONLY house I viewed during my home buying search! Darren and Austin were great to work with and very responsive to my questions and concerns during the building phase and even after close.

Negative: Extreme disparity between standard and upgrade expectations. Very confusing! Extremely low quality workmanship! Continuous need for repairs before closing. Disrespect for owner’s investment. Dents and gouges in upgraded cupboards. Positives: Great interaction with sales staff and design center during building process. Quality fixtures, appliances, flooring, etc. Construction manager’s attention to concerns. Quick follow up to issues after closing.

Can't speak for other locations, but the sales and construction teams at 6 Creeks in Kyle are great. They go above and beyond to address all my concerns and helped make my home truely custom. Highland has great options and I am very happy with the finished product.

My experience was very easy. I signed, went to the design center and before I knew it I moved in! The communication was very good throughout the entire process.

I would definitely recommend highland homes. As a first time home buy, I really don't have to worry on anything, Highland homes took care of us through out the closing and they are pretty responsive.

This was my second home to be built and I've used Highland Homes both times because of how well the experience was!

We had a great experience with Highland. They helped us get the house with everything we were looking for, they were very friendly, open, they gave us options and the quality is exceptional

The home looks great, but the functionality is not there. Sound travels from the guest bath all the way to the master bedroom. The light switches are minimal and placed oddly. The air conditioner blows super loud. They installed a used dishwasher. The interior paint is the cheapest quality I've ever seen and scuffs at the slightest touch. The cabinets are not adjustable. The master closet was only designed for hanging everything, which no one does. The master bath doesn't have a place to hang towels near the shower. Little things that make a house feel like a home are not there with this model. Also, the construction manager told us to reach out, but does not respond. The house just feels like it was a rush job. We love the neighborhood, but would probably look for a different builder next time. ... More

Excellent support has been provided for early closing of the house and scheduling of all repair works. All identified items were addressed exceeding our expectations.

Great home buying experience. Highland sales and construction team did a fantastic job , my wife and I couldn’t be more pleased.

We had great expectations when we initially signed in for Highland homes at Lakewood at Brookhollow, prosper but later our experience with the sales and the builder turned to be the worst. It is unfortunate even after paying such a hefty price for the new home by Highland we had to face such an ordeal and still struggling to get many issues fixed. All the work is contracted and there is no proper inspection of the work post completion by the contractor. House was handed to us with many pending issues. The builder took advantage of the fact that we were not in a position to reschedule the closing and left many open items unaddressed. No proper response even after repeated follow up. No proper information provided. Pragmatic living conditions not taken into consideration. Many upgrades were ignored and we had to specifically point out and get the rework done. Almost 50+ days of closing and we still have many unsolved/unaddressed issues. ... More

Avery, our sales counselor helped make the buying experience very pleasant. She was very responsive to our questions and assisted in making some changes we requested. Whitaker, our builder kept us informed thru out the construction phase with weekly updates. The whole process from initial buy to closing went very well. We are very pleased with the quality of our new home. We would highly recommend Highland Homes.

Highland homes is a great builder but with this community having to deliver too many homes in short time, construction managers have too many homes in their hands hence some of the things are not being looked upon. My CM - Dillon was awesome and hence I got a good home, but I have seen my neighbors homes where the CMs are completely ignorant or MIA, and their homes are not up to the mark. Request Highland homes to assign more CMs to this community so that new homes constructed as per buyer's needs. I, personally do not have many complaints.

The overall assessment of my home buying experience is very good. I love my new home.
