My experience buying, making selections and building my new home has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I am so pleased with the professionalism of the staff, from the salesperson to the builder… I highly recommend Highland Homes!

Everything during our home buying was extremely smooth from initial meeting with the salesman Zach in which case he is the absolute best to close. We couldn't have picked a better builder than Highland homes. Once our home was completed it was far above and beyond our expectations. We closed about 45 days ago and are still noticing little details in design that are absolutely fantastic! Highland is the way to go for a brand new home buying experience.

We thought we were buying a good quality home from a trustworthy builder, but we were totally off, it's been really painful starting from the permit submission that was not done on time and even worst the person accountable lied about it... We moved almost 8 weeks ago and still have pending thing to be fixed... The house floor plant is so beautiful but quality and how Highlands manages materials is a shame. Worth to highlight the Engineering interest to fix things but unfortunately he has too many things to do. The builder should reformulate it's strategy and try to get things done right first time. ... Working with Hector Duenas during sales negotiations and contract signature was very smooth. He was very helpful, responsive and solution oriented. Dealing with Highland Home Loans was not very pleasant. We had to work with 3 different people for several months. We asked 20% mortgage of the house value and at the last minute, 4 weeks prior to closing, our application was rejected which put us very stressful situation. There is a room to improve the screening & approval process at Highland Home Loans. In our case it should have taken 30 mins to accept or reject our application rather than months for a person with a basic financial knowledge. Our project manager Jonathan Mayfield was excellent. He explained us all civil & mechanical details related to the house, addressed any concerns or minor quality issues timely. He is very professional and supportive. It was a great pleasure working with Jonathan. There are few things to improve on quality & layout in or around the house. Such as AC unit blocks the entrance to the backyard, fireplace does not have installed igniter. ... More

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Highland homes. The builder went above and beyond from start to finish, and in particular, the construction manager, John was very detail-oriented and professional. The result? A very well constructed home that met all of our expectations and that we look forward to enjoying for years to come!

My experience hasn’t been good. I choose Highland because of their reputation, however they have NOT stood up to their name. There has been many errors and oversights throughout the entire process from incorrect ceiling heights, bathroom flooding, missing lights, texturing, painting etc., corrects are still being made which is NOT good howbeit some major and some minor. The contractors Do Not take pride or care in their work, their craftsmanship is poor which makes for a poor quality home. Maybe the more expensive lots have better builders and contractors but my experience has been awful. I’m sadden to say because this is my home and investment and I expected better or at least good but instead it’s just ok. I would not recommend this builder. ... More

Buying experience was awesome….Highland Homes are great homes as expected with their modern designs…our construction manager Juan is great with helping us with any questions as needed…the closing date was on time or earlier as promised….overall we are very happy with our builder Highland Homes and would highly recommended to future buyers

This is to be our final home to retire in and it was important that it was built the way we wanted it and with quality. So glad we chose Highland! Everyone on their team has been fantastic from beginning to end. Avery Turek was an awesome salesperson. She saw our vision of what we wanted and worked hard to get us what we needed. Once building, Whitaker took over and took us through to the end. Sure there were bumps in the road along the way but Highland always stepped in and made things right. Marion, my builder, has been very responsive taking care of my concerns, which haven’t been many. She genuinely cares about satisfying her homeowners!

For the price I paid and the interest on the loan, they should have taken more time to perfect the completions; have more space in the bathroom design, more patio space, and even a study room. Also, for the cost of the HOA we should have an indoor pool that we could use all year round.

The house product is great. We love the home and design. My complaint will be that the project managers need to pay attention to detail with the trades coming in doing the work. They are not checking the work and the quality. For the price point, you would expect a greater attention to detail and quality. The overall experience was good just detail and closing presentation needs work. House was not presented in the way I expected at close.

If your sales person is Haeli then be specific to the details. She doesn’t provide you with any details as she thinks it doesn’t matter to us. But end of the day we are paying money so ask every detail of lot inside and outside of perimeter. These people just work for the money and don’t value you after signing the sales agreement. I realized cheap products being used in some places of the construction. Highland homes loan officer Lindsay, not provided any steps details. Loan process was not transparent. She never told until I ask for. Over all rating okay to buy from highland homes but there bunch of other builders too. Try to consider other builder if you have options. ... More

From start to finish this was an overall great experience. Everyone we came into contact with was more than helpful and very responsive to any and all concerns. We highly recommend Highland Homes.

Highland is the best there is. Quality from start to finish and really care about making everything right.

The entire Highland Homes team Gracie , Clint , Matt , Crickett , was an absolute pleasure to work with each friendly , professional, knowledgeable and most attentive to any questions or concerns. Gracie took time from her day each Sunday to take construction progress pics. Our home was built beautifully in the expected time frame. The closing went smoothly without any issue. We are very happy with our highland homes experience and highly recommend Highland Homes to build your new Home.

Have to done your own servery because many issues left and after closing last 2 months still come up here and there

I Love my Highland Home!

I have highlighted the issues from visual inspection prior closing and engaged a third-party inspection company to do the home inspection. Majority of the issues are unattended despite several follow-up by email, text messages and phone calls.

From the beginning, working with Highland Homes was so seamless. Our consultant Haleigh was so responsive and helpful in walking us through the various floor plans and add on options to build a home that was perfect for us. Once we landed on the Middleton plan, we were connected with our project manager Robbie. Robbie is fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, and thorough. He sent us weekly email updates and was very responsive to questions/concerns. Our only area of concern was after we closed on the house. We had a few areas to touch up during our final walk and the crew sent in lacked attention to detail and some aspects felt rushed. The concrete in our front entrance was a different color, plaster on the gutters, paint on floors, etc. Overall, this did not tarnish our experience because the home is beautiful and Robbie has been so responsive to our concerns and made proper repairs and touch ups.
