I had been faithfully checking the Highland Homes website admiring the beautiful homes after visiting the model several years ago. I previously was interested in the 218 floor plan but switched my preference to the 216 plan after seeing the upgrades. Now that I'm in my house, I am very grateful that I've been blessed with such a beautiful home for my family and I to enjoy for many years to come. I love everything about this house. Jovanney Adam and Ana were knowledgeable about all things involving the home. All questions and issues were addressed to satisfaction. The home quality this far has meet our expectations. If we had to do it over again we will still choose this home and the Highland team in this community to partner with on such a big investment.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Hector and Dakota at Highland Homes! Hector helped us find the perfect lot and design the home exactly to our liking. Dakota was extremely proactive and responsive throughout the entire building process. Any questions or concerns were promptly addressed and corrected if necessary. Even after we closed and moved in, Dakota made himself available to ensure we knew the ins and out of the new home. Had a great overall experience with my home purchase from Highland Homes. What really set this experience apart, though, was the team. Our realtor, Lula, was exceptional from start to finish. She was very knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure we understood every step of the process. She never made us feel like just another transaction, and her communication was prompt every single time we had a question. Our construction manager, Lane, was equally impressive. He kept us informed throughout the build, walked us through the home with real care and attention to detail, and followed through on every commitment he made. We’ve been living in this home for about three months now, and we’re genuinely impressed with the overall quality throughout the house. Every corner feels well-built, and at no point did we feel like cheap materials were used. During our orientation, we were able to put blue tape on even the smallest and most minor issues, and every single one was taken care of. The crews who came out for repairs were always professional and kind. Our contractor, Yale, has been exceptional. He responds to messages quickly, keeps his promises, and resolves issues efficiently. We purchased the home when it was close to finished as it met our time line. After researching we were comfortable with Highland as they were rated better than most builders in the area. We were not able to see inside the walls as the drywall was up and all of the brick was up on the exterior. The buying process was easy. My issue is with some of the materials. Thermo Ply, Drip Edge or a similar product is used for sheathing. We knew that sheathing was used as almost all of the builders here in Texas use it because it is cheap and it can be cut with a knife, light weight as really it is glorified cardboard. Yes it passes code but it really should not. Especially in a climate like Texas with Tornados, high winds and driving rain. I just learned the house is not wrapped with Tyvek or a similar house wrap to the stop wind and moisture penetration. It is my fault as I did not do my due diligence. However I can't believe a house at the price we paid does not have this standard on every house Highland builds. It is not an expensive item. With no house wrap and cheap sheathing if there is water penetration the moisture is into the studs, insulation and then the drywall, causing mold, an unhealthy environment to live in and ultimately very expensive repairs. This is typically discovered many years later and the builder is long gone. We have other issues with the house which we are trying to get settled. This includes sloppy concrete and finish construction among other flaws. Not all of the materials are bad but the sheathing and lack of house wrap are very difficult for me to overlook. Prior to buying from a builder using this sheathing go on youtube and do some research. These builders have got to do better! Buyer Beware! ... More

We had a great experience with Highland Homes. The community is very family-friendly with essential amenities. We are very happy with our new home and highly recommend Highland Homes to anyone looking for quality built and family oriented community.

The buy experience was very smooth but construction started off very slowly. Things picked up significantly when Harrison took over the project management. The biggest problem is the confusion with the address. For some utilities, we are in Rosharon, for others it is Iowa Colony or Arcola, but the postoffice says our address is Manvel. This situation has caused no end to the problems. To make matters worse, we have not received any mail since we moved in. The Manvel Post Office is receiving mail for us, but has not been able to deliver it. According to the them, they don’t have a key to the mail box cluster so they can’t load it. I’ve complained to the post office 3 times already, but they don’t seem to care. This applies to multiple of our neighbors. ... More

What an absolutely wonderful experience with these 2!

My wife and I had a fantastic experience all the way through the purchase of our home in Sandbrock Ranch. The sales team with Beau helped us get to just the right home and contract, and provided some flexibility as we were selling another home. They communicated very well. Our builder, Glen, has been awesome helping us understand all aspects of the house. He even called us ahead of the recent winter weather to make sure we were all set. Highland Homes is a fantastic team of people that build great homes. We're thrilled to be in ours!

I had a positive experience with Troy, Chris and Pedro throughout the building process. From our first meeting to closing day, everyone was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They kept me informed at every stage and were willing to answer questions or walk me through details, which made the experience feel much less overwhelming. I appreciated how organized and communicative the team was. Any concerns I had were addressed promptly, and they truly made me feel like my home mattered to them—not just another project. As for the home itself, I’m very happy with how everything turned out. The layout is functional and thoughtfully designed, and the craftsmanship and finishes reflect quality work. I had a really good home buying experience with Highland home. From sales consultant Jake to construction manager Bennett, all provided me with very helpful information, Bennett send the weekly progress on time. Fixed the issues promptly!! I will recommend Highland home to my friends and family!

My husband and I had the best experience with Highland. From walking through the home to purchasing to doing the walkthroughs with Yale, everything went as smoothly as possible and we couldn’t be happier with our home purchase. The quality of the materials used is very good, designs are beautiful and efficient, and there’s not wasted space. Yale was able to change out the things we didn’t like, add what we wanted/asked for, and above all else he is a very kind person. Even after we moved in he still comes to check on us or to help us find contractors for things we want to get done to the house (such as garage floor epoxy). Overall had a good experience. Mortgage process went smooth, closing was smooth, and construction manager was great during busy time at end of the year. I do feel like there could have been more done from an informational standpoint directly related to the neighborhood. There weren't any instructions about registering for the neighborhood amenities or anything like that. There also was not instructions for things like the smart home or security system. Again, these were just minor things to an overall good experience. I would recommend the community and Highland Homes to others

We got a great plan and decided to buy with some allowed modifications. The customer service and construction manager were great. But the quality of workmanship is terrible. Even after constant monitoring the building process, we had hundreds issues including some terrible ones even after closing. Some defects could not be rectified. There were many omits and misses. But silver lining is great service. Even after a month of closing, the issues were addressed. The home was built in haste to meet closing date and poorly done in some areas (carpentry, electrical, roofing, painting) that is not expected to a costly home. Thank God we got a great sales person and construction manager to address most issues. ... More
