For a new build it would have been nice if it was cleaned up more prior to moving in. Decent responsiveness from the builder towards issues although it took some repeated requests and convincing for a few things.

Our experience was amazing! Dustin was so attentive to our needs and resolved any concerns immediately. He made the process so smooth and we trusted him 100% with the build of our home!

Quality of workmanship and carpentry, extremely disappointing. Grass that was laid is lumpy and treacherous to walk on as it was not leveled or rolled. Paint drops on the floor, unpainted areas of home and short doors into bedrooms. We would be hesitant to purchase another Highland home.

Highland Homes took really care about my home and go to extra mile to make us satisfied with new home. For instance, they provided epoxy coating for my garage even cracks were naturally built. It was great experience.

The sales staff are really wonderful and helpful, especially Layne. I was under contract for well over a year before my home was completed. He was very responsive to any questions or concerns. My construction manager, Aaron is also great. He kept me updated on every stage of construction. My only complaint has been the overall sloppiness of many of the subcontractors. There were paint splatters/drips everywhere on every surface, construction debris left in the yard, landscapers installing grass and flower beds over debris and rocks, scratches on several windows, etc. Aaron is continuing to have the subs come and most of these issues are slowly getting corrected. It was great experience with highland homes.they are using quality products with luxury and stylish homes.

Our home is quality built and is architecturally interesting; definitely not a cookie cutter home. Our salesman (DuWayne) and our site supervisor (Justin) were very responsive and accommodating to our needs.

I will leave it very short and simple. If Highland really cares, they will reach out to me for details. It is a VERY GOOD thing they had a pandemic to blame for each and every failure that came to pass on this build. In my opinion, it is only about making money for them with no care to the buyer and it is built into the contract to ensure that. If you chose to buy from Highland, invest in personal lubricant stock first.

Highland homes delivers a great home, everything is smooth and went well.

We were a little disappointed in the quality of the work. It did not match the quality that we would associate with a name like Highlands. In all fairness, the construction manager has been very responsive to our concerns regarding certain issues with the house to make sure the issues have been resolved.

If you value great customer service and having your questions and concerns addressed in a timely manner, then you will want to purchase a Highland Home. Christy, Evan, and Cheryl were always on the same page. This is the 5th new build I have bought. Highland is by far the best builder I have done business with.

This builder is a step above the rest. Superior floorplans and design options. Higher quality finishes. Beautiful elevations.

I closed and moved in before all items on the punch out list were completed and responsiveness to my issues took a very long time to coordinate and finish.

Today is a good example ( almost 7 weeks after we closed) the doorknobs we paid for were not installed. Instead, we received the "standard" doorknobs. We were told that they'd be here today around 8:30 am and it is now 12:15 pm and no one has yet come. This has happened too many times to count! Love our salesman and the head of the building department but they are not keeping after some of their workers or vendors!

Prior to buying the house we had extensively communicated that it was very important to my wife that the two oven system in the kitchen be changed to one oven system so that the microwave could be lowered and be of use to her. We were promised support in this regard but unfortunately that promise was not in the contract. The undeniable fact is that after spending near $700K and 50 days post closing I have an unhappy wife with the promised support for modification not done. I will never ever recommend Highland Homes to my contacts.

Due to the excessive time wasting that we have experienced during this process I am not inclined to be as detailed but I write this in hope that these issues will be addressed and taken care of expeditiously. I plan to reach out to those in leadership positions to resolve all of my concerns without escalation to litigation. We are extremely disappointed with the warranty processes and have experienced so many inconveniences and POOR quality of work. The contractors have verbally shared that they are NOT doing their best work because HIGHLAND has not compensated them fairly; this is unprofessional and unacceptable and WE should not have to suffer due to their discontentment . ... Bought a spec in the drywall stage. ’ll admit, everything wasn’t done perfectly. There were several things that were issues and we felt like we weren’t getting a return on our investment for the quality of work being performed. I’ll also admit, that Highland Homes did everything in their power to fix every issue we have had. And some of these things were big things. They didn’t hesitate to make it right, and continue to strive to make it right until we are satisfied. We bought with highland because of the customer service reputation, and they have met and exceeded my expectations on that front in every aspect.
