I love my home. The design was well thought out.

The overall experience was a good one. My realtor was great, but Highland sales office in Devonshire was just okay. I did not feel the welcome and willing to help from them. The project manager was great .

Cason has been amazing and is really the heart of the entire process - extremely responsive and professional. Matt was also fantastic to work early on when buying the property - always helpful with all of our questions along the way.

Great response to any issue we had.

Great builders great personal

I went into contract on this home while living in another state, sight unseen. The sales partner, Edna, was phenomenal. Incredibly responsive and accommodating. As was the construction manager, Lonnie. I did my walk-thrus via FaceTime, but felt completely at ease because he was extremely informative/descriptive to help me 'feel' the space. When finally arriving at the house and doing the physical, in person, walk-thru, the experience was the same. There were a couple of very minor things that needed to be addressed and they were done promptly and without issue. In the crazy housing market we are in, in Texas, this transaction went like a dream. No construction delays. No hidden costs/price increases. I love my highland home! The service was exceptional.

House was to be completed in September 21, it was “finished” in January 22 to Highlands standards at which time they gave us the option of moving in or forfeiting the money we had put down and paid for upgrades and losing the property. So many things were still not done correctly but we moved in with the promise they would be fixed timely and to our satisfaction. Five months later, they haven’t fixed more than half the issues and haven’t responded to our communication attempts. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.

June was amazing! We’ve had 2 other homes built by other builders and Highlands went way over and above our expectations! Every detail, every appliance is top tear! No short cuts. Nicest people and the easiest to work with!

Highland is the best !

Beautiful home but there are so many issues to content with. Sadly, workmanship is mediocre at best. Appears workman are in such a hurry to get done that the quality is lacking. Would I buy another Highland home ? Maybe would be my answer. Slowly the issues are being addressed.

So far, we researched many builder, but we did not get the service we got from highland homes. Highland homes are one of the best builder, they are worth giving a visit. Like promised they closed my home in time and the loans dept gave us a better rate aswell. All the appliances in the home are latest and the technology for the home is wonderful. Enough space for every room and sideyard and backyards are very spacious. Choose any home with highland and you’ll be happy. Kathy and Donna helped us thru this tough market. Thanks to them.

We built our retirement home in La Cima and we are so pleased we went with Highland Homes! We love everything from the floor plan options to the interior selections we were able to make for our home. We had an excellent experience with our Highland salesperson and our construction manager who stayed in communication with us during the building process. They were attentive and responsive throughout the entire process and worked very well with us to make sure we ended up with our dream retirement home!

The project manager was Ashton. He was kind and professional and very knowledgeable. The house is beautiful and everything we wanted.

Great value for the price. Materials were great, but combination of colors was not. Designers are recommended to combine colors better.

From beginning to end we were told honest answers to our questions. There are a few different builders in our neighborhood and we have seen many homes go untouched for weeks and months, but Kel set the expectations every week and followed through!

My experience was smooth from start to finish. No surprised. PM continued to guide me through some changes I wanted after closing by referring persons to do the work and helping me with pricing. He went the extra 5 miles!!

1st and foremost customer service Anthony my superintendent was Amazing, his responsiveness to small issues that came about after move in was in a timely manner, and was always communicating with me when issues would be resolved. I would highly recommend Highland Home for their attention to detail and 5 stat customer service.

Lots of cosmetic issues. Poor quality sod. Electrical issues & the list goes on.

Overall, I'd give the experience 4 stars out of 5. Highland makes nice homes with good layouts that make you feel like you are in a bigger home, and don't pack the house with space you can't use. The houses have a lot of light and you can tell they are on a different level with quality. We were actually referred to Highland by some friends who lived in one in a different part of the state and loved it. The biggest disappointment was that when we moved in, there were several things on the house that weren't completed and should have been either verified or checked before we got there. We had to submit 7 warranty tickets within the first week of living in the home, for various issues ranging from the thermostat not going below 72 (due to a contractor lock on the thermostat), to the oven not being plugged in - general things which should have been addressed before we moved in. What I will say is that once we brought these things up/submitted warranty tickets, our Construction Manager helped out with getting repairs moving and everything was resolved in a very intrepid manner, and we haven't had any further issues out of the items we listed needing to be addressed. The people you work with are great and they are responsive to the warranty items, the only reason I can't give a perfect rating is because quite frankly the house wasn't ready when we moved in. Outside of that - which may likely just be my experience - Highland makes the best homes for the price range. ... More
