This company is very busy which means that they often don’t have time to address issues you may have with your home. This can be frustrating. There are some areas in my home where the finish work such as the painting is subpar and sloppy. I am waiting for issues with getting the right paint to correct itself, so that I can fix these flaws myself

Great quality, value and dynamic team of peiple to work with

Great experience during the whole construction project. I wish I could be informed more when the people were working on the house, that way I could see any things that wasn’t done properly.

Great buying experience I had with Duwayne from highland homes

Pro: Blake N. our builder was tops. We had confidence and satisfaction throughout the build because he has been so helpful and responsive to us. Con: The people who put in the yard did a rotten job. It's filled with ruts, bumps and weeds. Compared to other yards around us, ours is pitiful.

Quality, Value & Great Design

We are new to Texas and spent a great deal of the building process out of the country. Our Construction Manager (Justin Minikes) was always available to answer any questions and offer his expertise. He would even go as far to video chat to show the progress. As we have settled into our new home, he continues to be at bay to answer any questions or concerns we may have. This is always done expeditiously. We love our home but we loved the experience even more! I now understand why Highland Homes are so highly sought after

Overall, a great buying experience. There are still a few cosmetic issues to be addressed (paint touch-ups, a door handle replacement and a couple others) but after reaching out and sending a detailed list, they have scheduled a day to deal with them. The neighborhood is great and we love it so far after a month or so. I would definitely recommend but I would also be vigilant about following up on any issues.

Highland is a good home builder. They do care about taking care of you after you close your house with them. Home building takes time and fluidity, be patient it’s worth it.

Highland builds a great home and the design center experience was one of the better ones we have had out of all the homes we built. The new home consultant was very enthusiastic and knowledge and was an advocate for us as buyers throughout the process. Our construction manager was a joy to work with and was very responsive to issues raised during the build process. Job site cleanliness was one area that was a bit frustrating, but overall the end project was great!

We had a wonderful experience with Highland Homes. While at times it was stressful, as homebuilding can be, Aaron & Layne were always quick to resolve any issues and make things right. They were both very responsive and happy to call us whenever we needed. It felt like we were building a home with family. We did feel like some of the more detailed aspects of the house were initially completed poorly but our builder made sure to have the contractors come out and fix things to a more expected level. Even after closing, both Layne and Aaron have been super responsive to any minor issues that have come up or questions that we have. We are so thankful to have built our first home with Highland! Responsive to any issues encountered.

The beginning process was so exciting. Everyone that helped us with highland was informative and kind. We had a few delays on windows and the brick for the home which extended our closing 2 months. That is something you just have to be flexible with when building a new home. Only complaint, the items we wanted fixed before closing seemed to not be handled with care. The workmanship seemed to be sloppy. For example where a the bottom of the floor/wall buckled that was fixed in closing day. Well who ever fixed left paint and caulk on the wood planking and it was not smooth. That’s just one example. I put in warranty ticket for the minor things we found again which is common.
