Garage door makes loud noise but been told normal which I don’t agree. shelves not clean, white dust from construction still on the surface especially in closets.

Kelly was our sales rep and I can’t say enough good things about her. She always had a smile, answered text or calls quickly and was just an overall dream to work with. Renee was the in-house financing for us and made a quick close go so smoothly for us. Working with the builder to correct issues that lingered from closing was frustrating but I would not let that steer me away from another purchase in the future.

Overall there were delays and many not related to highland. My husband and I are very direct folks and we got the feeling that sometimes they didn’t want to give us answers because of poor customer experience. For us no matter if you said it’s ready in 2 years we would have appreciated that more than I don’t know, i don’t know. That’s it we love our home excluding the very cheap paint that literally wipes away at the touch. Also, all the cosmetic errors that the didn’t fix at walk through and then said wait until 11 months and submit the warranty…

Floor plans and upgrade options are excellent!

There were times when we lost trust in this location as far as selling us this home. And it took some rebuilding of trust in order for us to stay with them. Right up to the end we questioned our decisions to buy this home, but we did it and for our first home we are satisfied. I'll say if you can be here everyday during the build, make sure you are!

Love our home! Picking out what we wanted in our home to make it perfect for us was great! We had a lot of issues with Highlands responsiveness to our concerns. Initially they were super responsive. Then it felt like like since we were so far into the process our concerns were no longer important. Our house was incomplete on closing day. For a couple of weeks after closing and moving in we had contractors in and out of our house to finish up the home. Now that everything is done we are loving creating memories here

Love the floor plan and the expedited closing. The title company was excellent to work with. Construction manager has been sympathetic however for whatever reason almost every system or area has required some corrective action and he is under pressure to deliver new homes rather than prioritize warranty work. This is very different from our experience with the new home we purchased from Perry Homes 6 years ago where there were very few follow up items, the quality of the initial work being much higher.

the previous builder was not a good for taking care of problem. always give some excuse .Now I HAVE A NEW BUILDER his name Jim . He is very good .I give him 5 stars . I was so unhappy when I closed my home. It was unfinished and messy work. NOW Jim taking care of it.Thanks

We are happy with our house. We did experience frustrating delays and poor communication. We like our builder, but he is spread to thin. We are still waiting on incomplete items. There is paint on our wood floors, our garage door needs another coat of paint, rust ring from a paint can on one of our bathroom counters. It would be nice for someone to follow up a month or two after move in to address these kind of concerns. The one area where the craftsmanship could be better is the cabinets.

Overall happy with my new home. A few glitches dealing with the contractor, but that is to be expected.

The house finishes are not 100%

I am disappointed with the craftsmanship. I wouldn’t buy from Highland again.

Attentive sales, mortgage and builder contacts. The workmanship was a bit shoddy, needing some windows replaced and other concerns. There were a few items in hindsight that I thought should have been addressed in the design center that now we need to implement. Otherwise, fairly positive experience.

Our flooring seems to squeak quite a bit. It makes the floor feel cheap. Some issues with the cabinets such as them not being aligned or drawers touching each other. The landscaping died out soon after moving in even though we had the sprinklers on. There is always mud where the fence is due to poor drainage!

They get you in, sometimes forget about you and after closing is when you find the carelessness in some of the installs around the house. By then it's too late and you have to live with it.

During the home buying process, especially getting ready to close, we were repeatedly told that highland homes stood behind their work and the home. Repeatedly we were told that if we had any issues just get in contact with Castin, the person that was in charge of our construction, and the countless warranties. Well we have had several minor issues, but issues nonetheless, that we have reached out to get fixed. Nothing has happened. And one of those issues I am not sure is that small. From the beginning an area of our yard has experienced flooding, Castin said it would be fixed before we moved in, yet that certain area of our yard is a mud pit. The house is beautiful, we truly believe we got a good deal, however, we are very disappointed with the service we have received afterwards. Quicker response to warranty work

I bought a home during the thick of COVID-19. There were a lot of delays and a lot of what we originally wanted was not available. Ultimately, we got the home and everything worked out in the end. The build quality was a little lacking. The materials were not kept too well and the doors have noticeable damage and patches on them if you are looking closely at it. So far we had to have warranty repair a few things too. It’s not perfect, but we are grateful to have this home and that Covid didn’t stop us from being able to get it.

We moved into t two story Richmond plan. It is an extremely beautiful home and we love our house!! Our Sales rep is the BEST!!! We close in July and realized quickly that there were some issues with our HVAC system. Our builder was very quick to respond to the issues and has been working closely with us to ensure it gets resolved. The people/ companies that Highland contract with obviously struggle in their profession because 5 trips later, our HVAC is still not fixed. I don't blame Highland, but the definitely need to take ownership and look for a more reliable HVAC company.

The sales people are awesome and stay in touch with you. The project manager was quite responsive throughout the process. However, the drywall has multiple cracks in the corners of many walls and the material used for the baseboards seems cheap or old. The caulking dried and shrunk in less than 2 months and several nail pops appeared right away. They don't be appear to be covered under the warranty.

Our salesman Ethan was very responsive, knowledgeable, and caring. He was very helpful throughout the entire process and was eager to solve any and every issue that arose throughout. The construction manager Dylan was the same until the very end when there were some issues with door frames, when brought up he tried to talk his way out of solving the issues by going as far as saying it would push closing back two months. After going to his boss and pushing back it was resolved within a day. My family and I love the house and are very happy in our new home. The quality is sub par. Gaps in cabinets. Unfinished paint. Poor finish work. Don’t even get me started on the concrete. We have had the driveway the front steps re-poured and they can’t get it right. Flaking concrete, permanent foot steps, discoloration, etc.. It’s been amateur hour here. I’m not a contractor and I’m pretty sure I could do a better job at this point. No attention to detail.
