Unfortunately, we had to wait over a year for construction of our home to be completed due to no power to our subdivision. Highland helped accommodate us for the delay and there were benefits in checking construction status each week in- person. Without the delay in construction we would have given 5 star rating. We are very happy with our new home.

Expect a good experience with Highland Homes. Our sales person, Tony, was super helpful explaining everything about buying our home. The design center personnel were easy to work with and helped us make the best choices. We have been very pleased with our warranty experience so far. Jack and team have been very responsive to all our questions and had the various teams complete the warranty work very quickly and thoroughly. We’re pleased with our decision to purchase a Highland Homes.

This was my 2nd Highland home and it’s beautiful. Was completed ahead of schedule.

Highland homes are extremely beautiful. And their reputation is stellar. Our project manager Julio couldn’t have been more helpful and professional, hands-down, so knowledgeable and helpful during the process. Our home is built, impeccably worry free. The only reason for the four stars on the overall buying experience (because everything else is 5 stars). This is not our first time buying a home, nor our second or third time. I was a bit baffled and disappointed that no one from the sales team or Highland homes itself sent a thank you note with a gift to the buyers (us). I have never purchased a home and all my days and all my years where we were not thanked afterwards with some kind of thank note and a gift basket a bottle of wine cookies, something. Going into our first home purchasing experience, Nick our builder really made us feel welcomed and well informed. He really went over every single detail of the home with us and addressed any concerns we had. Leading up to and after purchasing our home he's been very responsive on any concerns and definitely had everything taken care right away for us. I'd definitely reccomend Nick and Highland to any of my friends and family because of the great experience we had.

My wife and I recently built with Highland Homes, and they truly are an excellent production builder, but in this brutally honest review, they are, indeed, a production builder. Our builder was amazing, helped us with some custom requests, and the construction process seemed to go pretty seamlessly. The reason I ding them an overall star is for the closing process with the home. Nothing to do with their mortgage company, or any surprises, however the cleaning company they use to get the house ready for closing day was an absolute atrocity. We found window screens ajar outside, with some windows being a crack open. No actual cleaning of the cabinets / floors, and the 8k we paid in window shades was done, and it was just a disapointing end to a rather great experience otherwise. The other thing is the amount of issues that were missed during the walkthroughs, which I can take blame for. We had some water leaking from our master shower, we had a couple of irrigation leaks for our sprinkles, and a lot of nonsense issues that you have to call customer care for to have taken care of on a work order. They do respond timely, but to have 8-10 work orders after you move in just adds to the stress. Seems as though the trades install things, but don't actively test to ensure everything is working correctly. My advice to Highland is that if you have customers who are moving into $700,000+ homes, make them feel like you cared enough to have them ready. ... More

The home buy experience was very easy. It was less stressful then other homes we have bought. The quality of a Highland home is amazing. They take the time to show you how to operate all the modern convenience.

We love everything about our new home. We loved everything about the process leading up to purchasing it as well. The only issue we had with Highland at all was their lender Beau, who worked up all of our information wrong because he admittedly was preoccupied while taking phone calls with us and it almost cost us dearly.

I love my home. Everything looks really good. They are fixing everything I have asked them to fix. Reliable.

Quality of build is great. Materials do not feel cheap like other builders.

Thru the good and the bad the Construction Foreman remained calm and made the building process easier. We are Happy with our home. I would not recommend it to anyone ... only because I want to be the only one of my friends living in this Beautiful Neighborhood... we did the hard work of finding this neighborhood and the long wait of the construction process is sooo worth it...

This is the 4th home I have purchased. All from different builders. The overall experience has been fantastic. From start to finish I never felt like a transaction. That matters to me a lot. I highly recommend.

...we moved in two months ago and still have zero options for cable/internet. It’s 2019, the internet is not optional! Should have been ready to go before closing! Otherwise great house and great experience.

Sales team was great pat and kitty. Home loan process was fairly good. Hank was awesome. Christi was helpful but confused me on a few items. Spencer has been good and responsive for warranty. Main issues drywallers did a poor job. Walls appeared bowed or sloppy, outlet cuts are huge when replacing switches with smart switches, the plates don’t cover there big cuts. Some walls missing texture. One wall had a soft spot but was fixed. Mortar/bricklayers guys did a poor job as well. Tons of mortar voids all over. Several walls the bricks are not straight and bowed inward. Tile guys did alright for the most part but could improve. A few backsplash tiles are crooked. ... More

The house is very nice. Every person I’ve worked with was a wonderful. I feel like there was some things that were too rushed through and was some visible. When I asked for something to be done, though, everyone listened and explained the situation and took care of what I needed.

Lots of ups and downs with finalizing the home. No fault or disrespect to the highland team. Michael was fantastic to work with and was very responsive with issues that arose and resolved them as quickly as possible.

The entire process was good, and I was fairly compensated for the six months delay. The house was exactly as I expected it to be. I am happy with the price I paid; it was a good value. Highlands Homes is a trustworthy company; they provided everything that was promised to me, I would recommend Highland Homes for anyone planning to build.

We’re very happy with our new home built by Highland Homes. The construction quality, design, and attention to detail really impressed us. From the initial walkthrough to the final touches, everything was handled professionally. The sales team was friendly, informative, and made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. That said, we were a bit disappointed to see the base price of our floor plan drop less than a month after we closed. We understand that pricing can shift with the market, but such a quick decrease felt discouraging, especially after making such a big investment. Overall, we still love our home and appreciate the craftsmanship and care that went into building it. There were some miscommunications and moments of friction during the process, but in the end, Highland did come through and delivered a good-quality home. To future buyers: do not wait until the final walk through to start identifying issues - start early, while the home is still under construction. Be proactive, visit the site often, and keep detailed notes. This will help you and Highland work together toward delivering a more complete and accurate final product. Some details fell through the cracks at the design center -for example, the tile behind the mirrors in the master bath, which was not included in the final build (we assumed it would be, since it was shown in the model). Do not assume something is included, verify. That said, we had to reference our paperwork multiple times and advocate for items that were supposed to be included. There appears to be a disconnect between Highland corporate, the sales/design team, and the contractors doing the actual construction. On more than one occasion, we had to point out selections that the builders had not been informed of. That said, once issues were raised, Highland was generally responsive and worked with us to make things right. Aside from these challenges, the overall experience and final outcome were positive. Just go into the process with the understanding that active involvement is essential to avoid missteps and ensure you get the home you were promised. ... More

Several construction items (Awning not properly installed above front entrance.) that required numerous contacts / conversations to have resolved.
