The home buying experience was great from our very first meeting with our sales person understanding our needs and providing suggestions to hooking us up with the loan officer and him keeping us posted on what was needed, to our construction manager being there to assist and answer any and every question. HH made that experience very personable and unobtrusive

From the start Highland was incredible! Our sales counselor Beau was amazing! The tag team of Holly and Theresa were wonderful! And our builder Edison was thorough, attentive and responsive and answered all our questions and needs!

We had a little pause at the beginning of the pandemic. They work with our fears and allowed us to make changes to better meet or needs.

Craig has been great correcting any issues.

Jason was awesome, and highland gave us everything we expected. I have neighbors using the other builders, and I've heard a lot of common problems that we didn't have with highland. I found Highland to always be proactive, and we didn't have anything that didn't go as planned.

Very honest and followed thru with what they said they would do.

I think the quality of materials and workmanship could be improved, especially for the price point. Also there were some pretty obvious issues that were not addressed until I said something, which makes me feel like they were hoping I wouldn’t notice so they wouldn’t have to redo it. There should be a standard of excellence from the builder that contractors understand and comply with or face some kind of consequence. I felt there were too many issues that needed addressing during the walk through and afterward. Because of the price of the home, I do wish higher quality materials would’ve been used such as paint, baseboards, flooring, and faucets. Highland Homes went above and beyond our expectations. They communicated every step of the way along the home building process and informed us on why they did things or how things worked. We have built three homes and from walking each one this Highland home has felt like the better build quality of the three. Thank you Highland Homes!

The builders and office personnel were very help to assist us with selections and what was allowable as a Highland Home. We made some changes along the way and most of them were accepted, even during Cov19. I give the Highland builder my highest recommendation.

Everyone at Highland Homes has been a delight to work with! This is my second home built by Highland and the quality is outstanding. We are extremely happy!

This was our second home and the experience was great. We were allowed to make different changes including non standard changes. Very responsive. The builder communicated with us on the construction every week.

Great experience with Anita and Jarred. Jarred was quick to address and fix and issues or concerns we had.

Overall happy with my new home. A few glitches dealing with the contractor, but that is to be expected.

We looked at many tracts and builders across these DFW area. We felt the Highland Homes offered the best value for the dollar. We would do it again if looking for a new home in any market.

Highland homes has quality workmanship but it truly comes down to who your builder is (your person running the show). Some care a lot and some could care less. So after you pick your builder (Highland, Pulte, DR Horton, etc).....then you need to fully vet the guy who will be running the show and ask around.

The house is alright. We closed fast and the house was behind schedule. We were promised things would be fixed quickly as we found them but we have found that is not always the case and have had to push to get things fixed.

Highland Homes is first among not so many equals. My delay in responding is that due to the pandemic there are painting touch ups and a few other things which will be accomplished soon. The delays been at our request.

It was a pleasant experience working with the staff and the builders. The quality of Highland Homes are much better than the other homes in the development, and we are happy with our choice.

The Highland team was great. We were having difficulty selling our home and could not get into our Highland home until it sold. Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with a realtor, which greatly contributed to this issue. Highland was very understanding and flexible with allowing us additional time to get a new realtor and we were able to sell our home! As far as the builder goes, Garrett was awesome! He provided excellent communication by sending a weekly progress report on the progress of the home and promptly follow-up on any questions or concerns we had.

Don’t sign your closing docs until the builder fixes everything! It has taken me over 2 months to get everything fixed the right way and stay on the painters!! The builder has been very responsive about getting back to me but they are so busy building so many houses, their attention to detail from the contractors is not always good. We had to get the the patio and a portion of the driveway“floated” as there was acid/grease stains from the sub contractors, the painters (pretty sure the first painters were fired) had to come at least 5 times to fix things, and there were some finer details in the kitchen that were left unfinished/not painted. Bottom line, the house was rushed and not checked prior to the walkthrough and corporate would not move back the closing date. The materials/quality were good but attention to detail was lacking. ...
